I learned a lot I really didn't realize what has to be Specially taught that we take for granted. How we are able to communicate with these children not only as a child but into adulthood. It has got to be hard and frustrating to a parent, guardian, family member to look into their eyes and you know it's there but it's not coming out like it usually does. So how do you address it day after day.

Great training & information. Even after being in law enforcement for 10+ years, I always enjoy learning new information that can help me. This training provided some useful knowledge that I can apply to my work in investigations, especially missing children with autism.

36 years in my dept....retired, and then part time SRO, I am more than "grateful" for this wonderful presentation on 'autism'.
When I was a kid in my neighborhood neighborhood, we had a young man with autism. It was not called that in the late 1960's. Sadly, I was his only friend. Other kids were scared of him because of his mannerisms' and behavior. At that time, there was no "diagnosis" for autism. He was remanded to the mental retardation school during the day, except for the summers.
He had all of these signature meanings.
This video is extremely important to those who have never had an experience with someone with autism.

It was a very informative. There were some eye opening points made that I think we take for granite sometimes.

I am autism mom that was able to attend the training in our city. I was very pleased with all the information he gave to our first responders. I truly hope they took all his information and tucked it in their minds so they will know how to proceed if they ever need to. I was honored to be a part of it!

This training was extremely beneficial! I have worked with individuals with disabilities for over 20 years and still learned so much from this training! Jerry is so passionate about this and it definitely shows! I would even recommend this for parents and family members of individuals with Autism.
