This was my first book and I had no experience in publishing. I found the people at Book Publication UK very friendly and helpful. Throughout the process of publishing they have all been very professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company especially Zara and Sofia who have helped me through my inexperience and I cannot thank them enough.

I have to say I was pretty sceptical as I had a truly bad experience with another publisher.
I have been working with David now for sometime and I am more than impressed, he and his colleagues go all out to help with absolutely everything, I can highly recommend David to walk you through this whole process .

We have been dealing with Arthur Burton who has been extremely patient and understanding, he has been helpful and supportive with the publishing process.

Having a bad experience with one publishing company I must be mad trying another! However all seemed to be going well until a couple of weeks ago. My MS was ready to be published and I had been happy with the process but suddenly no contact. Emails go unanswered and nobody gets back to me to tell me what is happening. Very frustrating as I had other books ready to go but certainly not now with this company, even if I do ever hear back from them and get the book they have published. Feeling very let down after what appeared to be a good company to start with. Looks like another company who grab you money, make loads of promises that come to nothing in the end.I hope I am wrong but I'm very disillioned at the moment.

book publication u k have advised me that they are going to market my book for a further 3 months, free of charge. This is very satisfactory, and shows that this company have my interests at heart. they seem to be a very professional company, and have given me renewed hope that my book will be marketed sucessfully.

From having no real idea about how to get a book produced and published, I now have three on sale on Amazon with 4 and 5 on the way.
They went through the process of self-publishing in detail and have produced lovely covers for each book.
Initially, David and then Arthur Burton have been my main contacts, with Sarah editing the text sent through.
They have also produced a website for me, which is continuing to be updated for the first year. Something else I would have struggled to achieve.
The only downside is that to get my work out there to a wider audience, I need the funds to enable this, which at present I don't have.

Arthur and Emily and Fiona have listened and completely understood exactly what and how I wanted my book to look like and how I wanted it written out and if I wanted any changes no matter how slight they were there nothing has been a problem to them I couldn't recommend them highly enough I can't wait now to see my first book in print such an exciting time and Future ahead

For the first time, publishing company who knows me and my work. They have been fantastic from my first contact with Mason. They have been very gracious all the way through the procedure. If I was uncertain about anything they have helped and advised me every step of the way. I could not found anyone better than Harry, David and Shawn to work with. My book was a very factual one and needed lots of changes as I went along. Arthur has been very helpfull but comunication has been hard as he speaks very quickly with an indian
accent which is a little hard at times. But he knows everything about book publishing there is to know. So once a relation ship is born he does achive the end results.

This was my first book ever...I'm a professor (art history and cognitive archaeology) and I wrote hundreds of papers as you do in your career.
Since the beginning of 2026, my dog was very ill and I needed to put my mind on something else. I cancelled all my commitments and travels ( I lecture all over the world) just to be with her until the end.
That's when I decided to write about one of my more successful courses that I usually deliver in summer schools. SEXUALITY IN THE ANCIENT WORLD:MARRIAGE, HOMOSEXUALITY AND PROSTITUTION
Skye, my dog, died on 20th May 2026, by then I had written more than 3/4 of my book.
Once I was happy with the contents, I tried to use Amazon Kindle Self Publish website to publish it...but I found it was a little too much to follow therefore I search the web and just per chance, I contacted BOOK PUBLICATION...and the heavens opened for me...I was immediately guided and supported by Zara Blackwood at the beginning and later on by Sofia Santos who is supporting me now with my second book (Dragons & Dinosaurs)...it a premium service, it is not free but there fees are more than reasonable...I'm a retired professor with a humble pension therefore I couldn't pay very high rates.
I'm writing my third book (The Dawn of Art: Art of the Upper Palaeolithic) and when it will be finished I will use Book Publication again. Maria Chester (now author)

I’ve been working with Zara on the publication of my first book over the past three months, and I’m very happy with the result. The book is now available on Amazon in multiple formats, exactly in the form I was hoping for. Zara set up my KDP presence, guided me — patiently — through the account process, and handled every stage of the upload smoothly.

Throughout the project, Zara was consistently responsive and incorporated all my changes — and there were many — quickly and without fuss. Previous reviewers suggesting this is a scam are simply mistaken; this is a real service run by real people, and my experience has been entirely genuine (regular exchanges by email and by phone).

I’m particularly pleased with the cover Zara produced — it looks great. I’m not sure what other negative reviewers expected, but in self‑publishing the author seems responsible for the creative direction and for delivering a publishable manuscript, designs, and images. The editor’s role is to execute those instructions, not to invent the book for you. Zara did exactly that, swiftly and accurately (with the help of her colleague Sarah). Any small remaining inaccuracies are mine — that is simply the nature of self‑publishing rather than using a large traditional publisher. I chose not to approach the latter and wanted to do it myself, and I am very happy with the result which i could not have done alone. Book Publications provided exactly the support I needed. Thanks.

Zara also encouraged me to invest in a marketing campaign, and I’m looking forward to continuing that work with her as the next stage of the project.

Getting published on Amazon: a splendid experience

I compiled this testimonial on my own initiative.

I am a nonagenarian with restricted eyesight. I have laboriously compiled my academic memoirs, and was attracted to the possibility of publishing them with Amazon. As a technological dinosaur, I was apprehensive about coping with the details of this process, and resolved to enlist the assistance of a publishing firm. Colleagues who had been down this road with mixed fortunes firmly advised me to beware scams, unfulfilled agreements and incompetence. I warily went on the internet and soon closed off several forceful chat exchanges with firms who quickly exposed me to a hard sell and did not listen to, let alone answer, my questions.

I settled on Book Publication Ltd because the manager, Mason, with whom I chatted, communicated with me as a warm, human person, told me what I wanted to know, quietly volunteered other useful information, and came across with caring interest in me and my work. I was also impressed that he did not badger me to take on some of the more ambitious arrangements that he could provide, and was prepared to accept my desire to stick to the minimum that his firm offered, at what my colleagues who have published assured me was a very reasonable price.

This proved a very good decision. Before I entered a contract, Mason suggested that I submit two sample chapters for copy editing by a wonderful person called Fiona. She managed to unobtrusively correct weaknesses in my grammar, punctuation and vocabulary without embarrassing me by pointing them out specifically She delicately suggested several rewritten sections which then read just as if I had written them myself – but they were more effectively phrased than I had managed on my own. It was clear that I could trust and rely on this friendly editor as I would have trusted a close colleague, assisting me with refining a paper for publication.

As soon as I made the agreed payment, Fiona speedily began to produce fully revised versions of large portions of my text. I was by now so confident of her professionalism that I didn’t bother with the cumbersome “Tracked Changes” version, and just worked on a radically enhanced clean copy, inserting some tweaks where I saw opportunity to improve my clarity. At the same time, the friendly and approachable account manager, David, sent me three suggestions for the book cover. These were pleasant, but I felt I could have something more appropriate. I sent him a photo of my own which seemed visually to convey the message of my terse book title, and came from a location which has warm associations for me. Whatever he thought of my suggestion, David came back with just what I wanted and hoped for, associated with a very generous description of the contents and of me for the back cover.

The firm’s critical appraisal of my draft was kindly and urged more than minimal effort to promote circulation; but I felt they were rather optimistic about the relevance of what was essentially a memoir rather than current academic writing. I diffidently declined their offer to promote my ageing book and my aged self across the sector. David didn’t press me, and I was grateful for that, as I am grateful for his generous patience and politeness in dealing with my interminable emails. Time will tell if my decision was an error of judgement on my part, but I do not expect to be around long enough to learn if I underestimated myself.

Almost the last phase of the editing brought an email from Fiona who delicately suggested major changes in the two chapters whose contents were critical to my tale and were, I recognised, somewhat jumbled. She proposed some radical editing which I read with awe. This editor, with whom I had never even spoken, had assimilated the conceptual core of the message that I wished to convey and had superbly reshaped it – in my style.

These three representative of Book Publication Ltd have been superb in accommodating this difficult old man. “Empathic” is an appropriate word to describe their ongoing interactions with me. They were wonderfully pleasant and kindly in handling my frequent and probably trivial emails, my delays, my tweaking of already agreed or submitted text, my problems with technology the intermittently failing of my eyesight, and my dismissal of their carefully conceived cover designs.

If a friend who is considering moving into publication asked for my judgement of Book Publication Ltd, I would have no hesitation in enthusiastically and genuinely rating them 11/10.

It was April this year 2026 when I decided to try again for a Print on Demand for my book 'The Magic Dalmatian'.

I'd continued my story beyond from where my first published edition ended. This time I felt my story was more complete and ripe for one more attempt to share it for children and families.

Whilst searching for a way forward via the Amazon KDP Publishing site, I was connected to Book Publications.Ltd and started a enquiry firstly with Andre Garcia. He was immensely helpful in outlining the various publishing options for my consideration.

Once I decided my preferred option , I was introduced to Arthur Burton who was assigned to lead my book preparation, exterior and interior design, illustrations and also my cinematic video trail.

He undertook Research into my previous publication to ascertain a more positive way forward for my new book . He also carried out a marketing critique outlining potential possibilities where my book might lead to, as well as outlining the audience suitability for publication.
I was very enlightened to have that feedback from readers outside of my immediate family.

I prepared for the team some notes about my characters and included a drawing of one character together with some photographs of my Dalmatian Luna in action. This was to assist the illustrator assigned to my book .This was because what I wanted to avoid cartoonish illustrations and a Dalmatian that resembled more like a Great Dane than a Dalmatian as seen in my previous edition.

I was not disappointed but immensely impressed by the illustrator's detailed notes on what each picture was going to depict. It was clear that the illustrator read my manuscript closely. By now I felt that my book was definitely in good hands.

Arthur Burton kept in touch almost daily reporting every stage of the book preparation.
This in itself was completely different to my previous publishing experience and indeed very reassuring that I was going to end up with a book I longed to have as a child. One that could cast a little bit of magic for my young reader's imagination.

When the illustrations filtered through I was in awe of the precise details picked up from my narrative . They were all just beautiful.

Then when Arthur was happy that I was happy with the beautifully completed book he proceeded to arrange for the cinematic video trail to be produced.

When I saw my Magic Dalmatian and characters come to life, flying through the starry night on their magical GoKart , I actually was quite teary. It was my most cherished wish to see something written come to life. It was
' spectacular ' !

So thank you Arthur Burton and all your talented team for your excellent input in order to bring my Magic Dalmatian to life.
