Book Publication UK Reviews

My name is Michael John Ayling, who at 74 years of age, finally finished his first book,

Recollections of Brian's Boy and His Near Death Experiences

In collaboration with Basecamp and Book Publications Ltd, this was my first attempt at getting the book published. I found myself on a steep learning curve concerning the processes and procedures required to achieve my goal, to create a lasting legacy for my family while battling Cancer and Leukemia. The final stages were carried out during a two month stay in hospital.

Overall the team were very supportive and realised that I was impatient to complete the book before I kicked the bucket.

My thanks goes out to all, especially Fiona who was fantastic giving me guidance and feedback as we agreed layout and presentation.

Many thanks to David Cooper who was the recipient of my wroth on many occasion who never flinched, or lost his temper with me, while I ranted at him over the phone on many occasions David deserves a medal for going above and beyond his duty of care.

I am now a published author and I have a copy of my book to hand for which I am eternally great full, if it sells well that will be the icing on the cake and I hope will benefit all who played a part in it's production.

Thank you all.

M J Ayling

Since making previous review I have received all sorts of threats from this company begging me to remove it ( it was about my refund). I stick to what I have said they are scammers. Take it back to April I got in touch with the company and was told it will be £199 to get my book published on 20 sites. I sent them my money the person who was in charge of my book was Zara (in which I don’t even think that’s her name, all of them seem to be using names that aren’t their’s. She told me my book will be published by the end of the week. End of the week comes I’m being told my file size is too big I have to pay an extra £200 for re formatting. I refused and asked for my money back. This went on for 2 months of them passing me around to this person and that person. By and of May I was told I will have my money back and that didn’t happen. I contacted the civil matter people and I was adviced to write a formal letter to the company. It was UNTIL I posted a negative review on their page they tried to be all apologetic after putting me through an emotional roller coaster about MY MONEY!!! Avoid them by all means. Read the other negative comments before dealing with them.

I am writing to express my gratitude and admiration at the way David Cooper (and Harry Wright) have handled the publication of my book entitled, “Sanya’s Quest: Prophecy of the Moon.”
David made all aspects easy for me and “leave it to me” was his hallmark and he always delivered.
I am grateful for his honesty in proposing solutions, I think he was grateful to my honesty in saying what I can and cannot afford right now.
He delivered big time; I am now immensely proud of what I have created, the cover looks fabulous and is eye-catching.
David is easy to talk to which is a great help when talking about creative projects and his expertise and knowledge form a terrific guide rail for the final decisions.
David, Harry: Thank you!
I am very grateful.
Kind regards
Mark

The firm is good at encouraging you to publish in the first place and then to trust them with producing a professional product inclusive of interior formatting and cover design and they have largely done this within the timescale promised. In particular, my limited dealings with their editor Tyler have been excellent. He has done a good job. However, my experience of their project management communication has not been great. Zara is good at giving confidence that something is happening while simultaneously undermining my confidence in her ability to deliver. I am giving this company a 3-star review pending evidence that they have actually distributed my book in the three formats promised across the ‘40+ retailers’ promised in their agreement and when they sent me the 2 hard copies of the printed book promised. I sent them the manuscript in early April 26 and at their suggestion I set up an account with 'IngramSpark,' (a self-publishing company, with poor reviews), and I gave Book Publication access to my account at their request so that they could publish via that organisation and as Zara has explained so that I might receive royalties from book sales via the 40+ retailers. I have yet to see if this happens.

I have also paid Book Publication Ltd a further significant fee under an additional contract, to advertise my book with all the retailers and distributers. Zara has promised this will take place over the next 3 or 4 months. I will give a separate review of that once it is evident that has taken place.

These people did a fantastic job, and i would highly recommend them to anybody.

Publishing a book without AI rubbish takes real work. ZARA made that work as easy as she could. My son wrote his first book at just 11 years old and zara turned that into a book which for him is incredible he is so proud of himself as am I.
I would definitely use again for my sons second book. My reason for 4 star rather than 5 is the time it took to publish the book was a few weeks longer than expected. I have been a difficult customer but ZARA stuck with us and for that myself and my son are very greatful.

I had a very positive experience with Zara Blackwood throughout the process of publishing my book.

I went through the whole journey of just hoping it might get published to actually seeing and holding my printed book. Amazing. The staff (main contact was Arthur Burton) were prepared to be patient when I asked endless questions and I'm so thrilled to have got to this point.
Selling on Amazon isn't for everyone, and neither is buying on Amazon, but the premium copy option was explained and very helpful.
There were moments when 'life' took my attention away from the project, but we got there and I am so pleased. Thank you.

They have helped me a great deal, and are much more cost effective than others I looked at. Done everything I asked of them. So far very happy

A very personal service provided. Quick to answer any questions. I was very pleased that the character in my children's book was captured beautifully and the illustrations brought my story to life. Book publication UK did exactly what they said they would do. The people were knowledgeable and professional.

I have received excellent service thus far. In the space of about a month, my project has gone from manuscript to just shy of publication. Arthur Burton has been incredibly patient and tremendously helpful to ensure that the process is moving smoothly and that we're not at risk of losing momentum. I'm thoroughly impressed at this stage of my engagement with Book Publication UK.

Arthur Burton, and any other people at the company with whom I dealt ,were helpful, friendly and understanding . They showed competence and professionalism and it seems to me that the presentation of the information about me ,and the literary flair of the infornation about the book that they gave ,will significantly increase interest in it amongst the reading public. i am also impressed with the cover design that they produced, giving the vital first impression.
NOTE: The foregoing relates to the past two months and the date below is just one particular day(the question below requires one date so I just selected one about in the middle of my dealings with the company) .

Arthur Burton never rushed any decision and gave me the time to think things through. They answered my questions every step of the way and made me feel a part of the journey. They truly cared how about the book as they were editing it.

This experience was smooth sailing and very well set out. There was very little pressure in making decisions and submitting in time. Also I wanted my book to be very personal to me as an individual and they allowed me to capture that within my publication. Despite some stresses with publishing my first book, Arthur and his team were so supportive and adaptive around everything.

Book Publication Limited are acting helpfully and professionally and are making self-publishing my book an enjoyable experience.

Great guys to work with, very hands on and informative. Communication is great, and they are very helpful

Arthur Burton project managed my book. He ensured my book was edited and prepared for printing.
He liaised with me about every chapter to ensure editorial changes did not change the character or feel of the book.
He led the creation of a cover, tag lines, publicity materials and developed key search criteria for use on social media platforms.
My book has now been published and is available to buy. I am pleased with the final outcome and quality of my book

Arthur Burton and Harry Wright have worked with me on the publication and marketing of the book Lifestyle and Longevity. They have both given me prompt and excellent support in every way. I can recommend them both in the strongest possible terms and I am looking forward to continuing to work with them both in the future. This review is based on my genuine experience with both Arthur and Harry and I have not received any incentive to write this.

I’ve had a fantastic experience working with Arthur. He handled my book with such attention and professionalism, and the final result was far better than I expected. Arthur kept in touch throughout the process, answered all my questions, and made everything feel smooth and stress-free.
I’m genuinely grateful for the work he’s done and would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, supportive publisher.

This has been such a fun & exciting process to get my first children's book published. Arthur & Harry have been great to work with, the communication has been first rate & they’ve explained everything along the way. I felt heard & supported throughout the process & will definitely use them in the future for my next book.
