Their website is so slow and nothing seems to be working. It won’t accept my post code, I even put family members post codes and it still isn’t working. I’ve reached out to them on social media and they’ve ignored my message as it was seen an hour ago. Now the 20% discount code on their website isn’t working either! Are they even legitimate at this point??

It doesn't seem like you can buy ebooks anymore. Instead they allow you "access" through a thrid party app they shove down your throat.

I can confirm that you can purchase eBooks directly from the Booktopia website. To read your eBooks, you will need to use an application that supports ePubs from the vendor. For Booktopia, this is provided through the Kobo Books app, which is available for iOS, Android, and desktop. Once the application is installed, your ePub or PDF files will function as expected.

Terrible delays and customer service isn't great
Wouldn't recommend purchasing through Booktopia. I purchased a whole set of pre-orders, they were continuously delayed and when finally available they were marked as out of stock and I had to wait additional weeks to receive my books. In addition, one of the books had a printing error which completely missed nearly 100 pages of the book, I contacted them immediately and sent through photos and they only offered me a new copy or a 20% refund. For a faulty book, i feel I should have been offered a full refund. I have been waiting months for these books now when they should have been in stock weeks ago, I could have had them weeks ago if I had purchased through Amazon and it would have been cheaper. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. Won't order through Booktopia again.

NO. They used to be good back in like 2015. I recently purchased 8 books from them. on the website they had multiple of the same book with different covers. I specifically paid extra for all matching covers from one series. they send the first two books after about 3 weeks...they are the covers i asked for. the next three come a month later...wrong covers. i message them, they say they can only do store credit and not a refund. 2 months later...still waiting on the other book. it took them about 4 months all up to send these books that they claimed to have in stock.

Bought a couple of Mangas, website states delivery in 3-5 business days. It is now almost 10 business days and only after posting a 1 star review, I received a reply.
I have updated the rating to reflect the corrective action taken but cannot give more than 3 stars.

I wish there was an option to give 0 stars.
I placed an order (#31664153) on 28 February and have reached out multiple times via DM with absolutely no response. At this point, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve tried to get an update.
The complete lack of communication is unacceptable. If the item isn’t in stock, just say so and issue a refund instead of ignoring customers.
This has been an incredibly frustrating experience and a complete waste of time. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Service has gone down hill
Since they were bought out they have been terrible. Slow delivery, split orders, they take days to return an email and can't even add a bookmark or two with orders. They used to be amazing.

I never received my purchase and could never communicate with anyone only a chatbot which was not useful in any way.
Neither the company delivering the product or the supplier seem prepared to accept any responsibility. I know from the photo the courier sent the parcel was left sticking out of not wholly in my locked letterbox.
if it did not fit in the letterbox so it could not be stolen it should not have been left in it, there is a nearby post office it could have been left at for collection. it was not left wholly in a safe place, I never received it so I have lost $100 its an expensive nothing
