Overall OK, but should be more clear about requirements up front
It was easy to apply, but the website made the process sound a lot more simplistic than it was. I was insuring a watch, and all it said I needed to provide was a photo of the watch and an original sales receipt, so that's what I provided. About a week later, I received several confusing emails stating that additional action was required, but not stating exactly what was needed. I reached out to customer service and in the reply I received several days later, they said I needed to submit an appraisal...something that was never mentioned in the application process. I pushed back on this and they then said they just needed documentation with my name to confirm ownership, so even a credit card statement would do. I then submitted a credit card sales slip with my name on it, and that was sufficient to finalize my coverage.
I wish they would have just stated at the beginning that they just needed a document with my name on it. That would have saved a lot of confusion, stress, and back and forth communication.

A few things I have issue with- First, the timeline of yearly payment. I got an email in June saying sometime September that it was due, no date or price. The second is when I upload my ring info you wait to hear back, nothing, then it’s denied. No reason what so ever. Plus, this is only time anyone from Britco has ever reached out.
