Complete scam. 1 star is too generous. The app doesn’t even work and they charge you a large amount after a few days with no clear messaging on the page that they’d do that. They then adjust their website when people complain to make it look it it was listed there. AVOID

Scammers! They stole 40 EUR from me
I made one small payment of about 1 EUR. Nowhere was it clearly stated that I was signing up for a recurring subscription. No proper consent, no clear checkbox.
A few days later they charged me 40 EUR without any warning.
This is pure fraud using dark patterns.

I was charged by Bubbi without any prior notice – no email, no invoice, no confirmation. I initially paid €1 for what was clearly presented as a one-time service. At no point was there any clear indication of a recurring subscription.

Shortly after, additional charges were taken from my account without my explicit consent. There was no welcome email, no subscription disclosure, and no reminder – just silent deductions.

After looking into it, I found that many others have reported the same experience here on Trustpilot.

This practice feels highly misleading and raises serious concerns about transparency.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious when using Bubbi.

SCAM. Paid £1 for an image upscale and was subscribed without my knowledge for £30 a month!

EDIT: the response from them below is nonsense. Just look at all the other reviews on here an on Reddit - absolutely nobody has seen this alleged information about a subscription.

This as mentioned by so many others this is a SCAM /fraudster company. Don't even remember me signing up for any trial and yet been hit by abnormally high transactions

Same deal as so many others - I was unaware that buying one vectorized image obligated me to an ongoing subscription. The company will say they disclosed this at the time of purchase, but I must have blinked and missed it. Clearly I'm not alone.

J'ai eu le malheur de ne pas me renseigner avant sur ce site. J'ai fait une conversion d'une image que j'ai payer 1€ , et ensuite une semaine après on m'a engagé à un abonnement de 35€ alors que j'ai n'ai souscrit à rien , et contrairement à ce qui est indiqué dans les réponses , il n'est marqué nul par qu'il y a une période d'essais quand on paye déjà pour un service. J'ai déjà essayé de contacter via l'adresse email et personne ne ma répondu. Je vais de ce pas déposé une plainte contre ce site internet à la justice française.

Son unos estafadores!!!como a todo el mundo, pague 1€ por rasterizar un logo y me han intentado cobrar una suscripcion de 35€. Por suerte tenia bloqueada la tarjeta y no me lo han podido cobrar...Para darse de baja del servicio hay que entrar desde otro navegador diferente al que usaste una vez, porque al intentan entrar en este no sale nada relativo a tu cuenta. Pude dar de baja la suscripcion de esa manera....que asco de gente!!

I bought something for £1 and a few days later an additional £29 came out, and it was toggled with re occuring payment, SCAM!!!!
Also no receipt given, clearly to increase their chance of their deception!

Vorsicht Betrug!! Ich kaufte für 1 Euro eine AI convertierung von png in svg. Und bekam nach 7 Tagen ein Abo von 35 Euro pro Monat, dass ich so nie bestellt hatte. Ich hatte mich nicht mal mit meiner Email registriert und keine Bestätigung eines angeblichen Vertragsabschlusses für 35 Euro nach 7 Tägiger Testzeit, wir mir jetzt auf Anfrage mitgeteilt wird, erhalten.

Betrug. 1 EUR wird als Angebot für ein ganzes Jahr angegeben. Abbuchung erfolgt eine Woche später monatlich für 35 EUR. Verstößt gegen absolut jedes EU Gesetz hinsichtlich Kündigungsmöglichkeiten. Kein Account Zugriff, kein Zugriff auf Rechnungen, kein Kündigungsbutton, kein Impressum. Schlechter Witz und absolut widerlich.

The fact that this company has a 91% bad review says a lot in itself. I have had over €200 taken from me fraudently - as a young widow I was in a fog of grief and only used this service once - and as a photo editing app - it's not great. I'm also angry with my credit card company for not flagging this as a scam which it actually is. I have made a complaint to the EU Commission and the local police in Malta.

I used this app once to edit a family photo for my late husband's family so I thought €1 or €1. It was for me a once off use for a photo editing service that wasn't even that good. I'd have done better with Snapseed. I then discover I am being billed €35 per month for a service I don't want or would ever want to use again. I DID NOT SUBSCRIBE TO A MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP - like why its editing is awful. I then find out that bubbi have literaly stolen €35 a month from my CC since last September. I have lodged a fraud report with the EU Commission in Malta as well as reporting this company to the police station in St. Julian's in Malta. I have had money stolen from my credit card and I want a refund.

This is most definitely a scam, it does not include subscription costs on the initial £1 payment, therefore is misleading.

No e-mail receipt is sent either, so the deception is clear. If an e-mail receipt was sent, which stated £1 paid but also £29 was now signed up for, perhaps this company wouldn't receive as many bad reviews.

Barclays Bank have banned transactions for this company in the UK at least.

Scam. Be careful. Paid £1 to download an SVG conversion of a PNG. One off. Did not sign up to or consent to any subscription. No warning or emails of any subscription. Just been charged £29 for a subscription. Dispute raised with bank. From Google searches this seems unfortunately common by them

They charge you $1 for a single image edit and then drop you onto a $65/month plan. Do not use!!

Wie bei allen anderen auch: Abofalle! Man denkt, für ein einmalige Leistung zu zahlen, hängt dann aber direkt in einem Abo!
