Made an order and paid. Items sent to wrong address. Royal Mail returned them with tracking so I was able to see that they were returned and signed for. I asked for a refund and was ignored many times. Was eventually informed that I hadn’t made an order despite all the evidence from Royal Mail. Now they are ignoring me again. NEVER AGAIN !

The worst online shopping experience I've ever had. It's now 6 months since I placed an order for something In Stock. It's never been shipped, they've not replied to any of my emails chasing, and to make it even worse I'm constantly getting marketing emails from them saying the item I ordered is in stock and shipping now!

I have now made a claim with my bank for the money to be returned. Awful experience. Do not use this company!

Purchesed some butterfly eggs for my children to hatch over the summer holidays back in June 2024 its now Jan 2025 and still recieved my order. Iv emailed them many times which they stated they were ill. I asked for a full refund and was totally ignored. AVOID AVOID AVOID! SCAMMERS

I could give a zero star if I could. 2 orders both of which I wanted a refund for. Neither refund arrived. One order never turned up, the other was a few dying caterpillars poorly packaged when I had ordered eggs. The bloke is a scamner 100 percent. No replies to emails yet has the cheek to email future availability etc. If only he lived local I'd go and get my refund alas this is not an option. Not sure how he sleeps at night ripping people off but surely it will end soon as people give up in such a niche market and word gets around.

Am still waiting after 10 months for my newt and frog order. No communication - apart from
one telling me he was getting things ready - which was a lie. Am £200 out of pocket. He’s a thief.

I would recommend you avoid this seller. I ordered pupae that was said to be in stock and waited 2 months later nothing so I chased order up via email received a genetic reply. Emailed again was told that the owner was ill but after reading previous reviews a lot of people have reported same excuse over different time periods. I gave benefit of doubt and contacted again and received exact same genetic reply. Luckily bank refunded me under possible scam seller. Will be reporting to trading standards.

Am reporting to Police as fraud. Rebranded website for second time. Deleted all my orders totalling £250. Won't reply to emails. Orders mainly over 12 months. Do not buy from this scam site

Made an order in July & still no item or communication from the seller. Absolute scam, avoid at all costs.

Ordered native butterflies in May 2024 and only just had them delivered today (4th Dec) after many emails as you don't respond via messenger. I also get that Stuart was in hospital with Covid and there was a back log but would have been nice to be kept in the loop.
I actually thought it was a scam until I received the eggs today and 2 already hatched. I'll be seeing how these caterpillars go, not sure if I would order again as it has taken 7 months for them to be sent out to me.

My order was placed in early October. I checked by the end of November and now my order is nowhere to be found, giving a 404 error. Stole my money and won’t respond. I’m considering true legal action. DO NOT buy from them if you wanna gamble your money.

I read through the website prior to purchasing 10 Atlas moth eggs. I understood that the eggs only became available at certain times of the year and that the supplier was very busy and probably wouldn’t get back to any mails for a while. The eggs arrived already hatched which took away a lot of anxiety I had about how difficult they may be to hatch. The supplier took the time to get in touch to make sure they had arrived safely and if I needed any advice or help to drop a mail. Very helpful and trustworthy site. Can’t wait for us to experience raising these majestic beautiful creatures knowing that help is at hand if we encounter any difficulties. Can’t wait to get the confidence to try our hand at more difficult species in futures , definitely recommend

Was told my order would be fulfilled in Oct or Nov, obviously due to the natural life cycle of the product it’s impossible to be specific so I was patient. My Actias Dubernardi caterpillars arrived in November well packaged and are doing well with the appropriate care and conditions which are now my responsibility. Follow up from Bugs & Butterflies to make sure all ok was appreciated. No complaints.

Never received items. Ordered in June. Chased up with Stuart. Understand COVID understanding laying eggs and cold weather. Excuses over excuses and then not replying back at all. But it's now December don't think I ever receive the butterflies eggs.

This caused me so much stress, I wish I had read the reviews first!
After placing my order I literally waited several months for a reply to all of my concerned emails asking where my order was.
When I did eventually get a reply it was excuses after excuses.
My order still never arrived so I contacted my bank and they refunded me, the card company then fined bugs and butterflies UK.
The worst company I’ve ever dealt with!

Bought two moths and both Arrived dead with one of then rotting in the cocoon absolutely disgusting will never buy from them again as others may know they also don't reply to any emails so receiving a refund or take any legal action is difficult.

Absolute scam of a company. Placed orders as far back as February this year and have received nothing other than excuses about poor health or no response at all. Blatant con man. Will be seeing what legal route I can take.

They are literal THIEVES. If I could give zero stars i would. I spent 96 american dollars on several pupae. Took over 6 months to ship with ZERO COMMUNICATION, and when the box did arrive it was completely empty except for a small amount of bug guts on the box. Ridiculous crappy NON EXISTENT COMMUNICATION. Have asked for a refund repeatedly and gotten no response. never again!!

Again, again and AGAIN. First time the order came months late with zero warning meaning all of the food plant (nettles) that i had grown wasnt usable and none still alive outside at the time (order was supposed to be delivered in june/aug and ended up arriving nearly december last year after a massive snow fall in my area. Another order never hatched and when i tried to email for a replacement (many many times) i got nothing other than automated emails and another order has never even arrived with zero explination, refund or apology!!!

Its not like he doesnt have time to answer emails either since my he seems to have plenty of time to ask customers to take down bad reviews. Which he did with my last review that was taken down because i didnt have the order number. He never replies to almost any of them though, seemingly he knows he knows hes in the wrong and has nothing to defend himself.

I keep and breed insects myself and very much know that its impossible to have stock 24/7 but just say that, every other company i order from simply lets you know if theres a delay, stock issue, delivery issue etc and many of those are only ran by one or two people.

I put the time experience as far back as it could go because this has been an unresolved issue for at least 3 years now.

This has been consistent since my first order when this website was under a different name years ago, DO NOT ORDER from him. Quite honestly id say 99% of butterfly retailers are the same lately.
