Rewriting our existing wills.
My wife and I employed Jayne Ashworth-Baynes of Burtons Solicitors to rewrite our wills following a change in personal circumstances. From the first meeting we had with her Jayne has acted in a friendly and professional way at all times and has taken us through some of the more legalise areas of the process. We have had two face to face meetings with Jayne and any other matters have been dealt with promptly by e-mail. We have now got our new wills and are very happy with them.

Having recently completed my buisness with Burtons Solicitors I would like to say how everything was completed in a very professional manner. From start to finish all the staff I dealt with were most helpful in dealing with my situation by answering any issues I had, this made myself very confident and I was always kept up to date right up to the final completion.
I would like to mention , Michael, Samuel, Dawn and Carla all of whom I dealt with at various times.

Helen in the Chatham Office was professional & understanding
Helen at the Chatham office handled the conveyancing for the sale of my property. From the start she was extremely helpful, informative, and always reassuring. Even when issues beyond her control became understandably frustrating, she remained calm whilst I on the other hand became irritated.
Unfortunately, those issues ultimately became an insurmountable problem that could not be resolved and as such I lost my buyer.
Nevertheless, I am very grateful to Helen for her patience, professionalism, and understanding throughout the process.
I am now exploring, subject to costs, whether this insurmountable issue can be addressed through another department at Burtons.

Dear Michelle,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly grateful for your kind words about Helen's professionalism, patience, and understanding throughout what was clearly a challenging process. She'll be pleased to know her support made a difference.
We're sorry to hear that issues remained unresolved and ultimately led to the loss of a buyer. That must have been incredibly frustrating, and we understand how disappointing that outcome can be.
Your note about exploring subject-to-contract matters is important, and we'd be happy to look into whether another department might be able to assist further. Please don't hesitate to reach out - we are here to help however we can.

Fair price, great communication, friendly and flexible.
Really helped us out during a reasonably straight forward sale followed by a drawn out and unnecessarily stressful purchase.
The team kept us bang up to date with regular and timely communications.
In addition when we needed something doing very quickly they delivered.

Ruth Connor from Burtons is exceptional
Ruth Connor from Burtons assisted purchase of our property in October 2025. She was exceptional in handling queries and had really quick turn around time. She followed up with us, seller and other parties closely to help completion of our property sooner. We had tight timeline, which she understood and did her best to make it possible for us in the said date.
Communication with her was easy and clear. Highly recommend getting her help for property purchase.
