Cafe Rouge Reviews 

My friend and I went for lunch to Cafe Rouge Greenwish last week and we throughly enjoyed the food at the time all because of Noel the (manager/waitor) not quite sure his poisiton, as he was running the entire place. Even though he had numerous customers to handle, he gave us plenty of time and attention. He was amazing. I will definitely recommend the place to all my friends as he made it all so wonderful!

On Monday 23rd of August we visited the Cheshire Oaks were we was greeted by a lovely lady called Jess , This lady was also our waiter for the evening we had been given a 3 course meal experience so when we was given the menue we was told we had limited items to choose from due to items running out but Jess was lovely to offer us alternatives we could choose from , through out the evening the whole experience was delightful and pleasant , overall the food was amazing the service was amazing the whole night was just amazing so thank you for the lovely experience we had that evening many thanks Marcus

Booked a table last minute for cafe rouge in Reigate for 8.30pm on there website and got a confirmation email. Turned up for the waiter to say that they close at 9pm. When questioned why we were able to booked at 8.30 with confirmation and then be turned away he was unable to answer. He did say that we would be served but had about 5 mins to order. No acceptable why let you book at table when it’s half an hour before close?

Went to cafe rouge in Cheshire oaks for lunch on Tuesday, 10th aug, they were busy but Annie took the time to help us with the app for the cafe on our phone, asked if the food was ok, it was really good, minute steak and salad, she was courteous, helpful and a credit to the company she works for, many thanks to her, we had a booth at the back of the restaurant so felt very secure with the Covid rules relaxing, thanks again mrs gaynor beattie

Very disappointed that because we booked using a voucher from the Activity Superstore, the menu we were given was exceptionally limited. It was made worse when we were told that they had run out of a number of the items on the restricted menu.
Nora, our waitress was excellent and she earned her pay in the way she looked after us. The free drink was nice as it was our wedding anniversary as well.
Food was ok, however again due the restricted menu we had to pay for a lot of things like chips rather than have them as part of the meal.
I wouldn't go there again based upon this experience

we booked a joint birthday/anniversary afternoon tea which eventually arrived after a wait of 45mins it came with no side plates or cutlery and when we asked for it the waitress was more intent on flirting with 2 guys than serving us plus the other diners around us and gave us a very curt reply. It seemed also that other diners had waited a longer time to be served. We thought that this was going to be a good occasion but instead turned out to be a very bad experience which we were very disappointed with as we live in the North and use Cafe Rouge a lot and have always had a good experience. We will not use Cafe Rouge Brighton ever again and will let all of our friends know about this. The service was appalling. Many Thanks for ruining our joint celebration. Well done Cafe Rouge

A lovely warm afternoon saw me at an outside table at Cafe Rouge, Gunwharf Quays.
The service was excellent, Sara, front of house was extremely efficient and polite.
Danny the manager ensued all went smoothly in the background.

The food was excellent, I had a steak that was actually medium rare and not overcooked or dry alongside a wine chosen from a wide selection.

Overall a very good experience.

First time at Cafe Rouge.
The waiters/waitresses were very professional and attentive.
The food takes a little while to come because it is cooked fresh to order...it's well worth the wait.
Ordered the black Angus burger, amazing.
The Breton Chicken was authentic French, very tasty. Restaurant is very clean even when it's busy.
Reasonable prices for quality food.

I would like to shout out to Sarah and her team today for an excellent service and the kitchen for a very tasty meal!
Today was my sons 18th birthday and the team went above and beyond to help us celebrate within all covid restrictions.
Our table of 4 (hubby n teenagers)..
They helped with bringing his balloons out and then cake and we all sung happy birthday for the ultimate help in humiliation for him (sorry but as mum I still hold the right to do such things)
On a serious note,
The outside was fairly busy but the team was attentive.
Sarah checked to make sure we was all happy.
The food was well portioned and delicious - thank you cafe rouge for helping me rescue some of my sons birthday

I visited cafe rouge in Birmingham. It is nice restaurant, the staff was nice and helpful. I had only main dish but i really enjoyed it.

Cafe Rouge in Greenwich food was terrible the last time I had dinner there, we had to send the meal back to the kitchen to be warmed up, as the chicken was served cold on the inside. It is a shame, because the service was friendly, but not amazing. I would suggest you try other restaurants in the area.

Food was poor for the price! Usually when you get a burger you like the brioche bun to be soft not crunchy. The mark up of drink is astronomical 4.95 for 330ml Stella. You can get a pack of 4 for that In a supermarket. Also if a colleague makes a mistake it’s might be a good idea to speak to them in private rather than making it public so that customers can hear. Not really professional

Quite a good experience to be honest. Lovely service, lovely food, lovely service.
If you think paying them a visit, try the salmon or the the steak. Lush!

Once again I made my booking online at the begin of August for the last day of the of the promotion help out to eat out. Booking was very simple picking what location you require, date and time.
upon arrival, we here greeted with a bid smile, and seated, the where tables tables not in use to keep the distance...
Now they where very busy and this was understandable given the promotion, and yes there was a long delay from the time we where seated to our orders being taken and food delivered for each course. Jess who was our main server she was very happy, helpful and efficient - even though she was very busy. There where a number items that were removed from the menu like hot chocolate with marshmallow, or doughnuts with ice-cream which is understandable so they are about to stay on top of the demand for service and food because of the promo. Again they where very busy for the time we got there to when we left, but I notice all the servers appeared to have a smile and help when required, we even had one of the manager assist in getting our mains. One of us ordered a tuna steak that came out under cooked, but they where happy to exchange it for another.
Sadly they are no long taking the love to shop vouchers.... we did
I always enjoy attending this branch, and I highly recommend if you are in the area, drop in, or for a guaranteed table, book online
I have already booked for November and look forward to catching up with the wonderful staff again

Good food not great, ok for the money

first time at café rouge in Coventry I was very happy with the food and service, shame it has now closed at coventry

Visited Cafe Rouge Woking last weekend and the service was appalling. When we walked in nobody greeted us. Once eventually noticed we were told we could sit anywhere. If they were busy I would of understood, but there were only 2 or 3 tables being used !!!
We sat at our chosen table and had to wait about half hour before our orders were taken and that was after me approaching the young lad who seemed to be the only staff member actually doing anything.
We even had to ask for the table to be cleaned.
The menu is over priced with small portions.
We even saw one of the staff sitting eating their lunch at one of the tables (with a plate full of chips !! ) rather than the minuscule portion we received. I don’t deny anyone their lunch but eating it at a table in front of paying customers should not be allowed.
We decided to share an apple and rhubarb crumble for a pudding, yet again the portion was so small (hardly any rhubarb or apple it it at all) and nearly £6, it wouldn’t of even fed a mouse.
Never again will I visit or recommend this place again. Avoid at all costs, you can get better value at places like the Harvester...

We often visit Cafe Rouge in Cheltenham. Sasha the Manageress is fantastic. Always tempers us and tries to meet our table preferences.
She is a great ambassador for Cafe Rouge.

Solihull Felt like an inconvenience being there ! Sent my food back as obviously bread was toasted straight from frozen, staff looked like they didn’t want to be there !!!

Cafe Rouge in Brighton Marina is a place to avoid. Once our favourite Sunday breakfast venue but no longer. Coffee took half an hour to arrive and was cold. Staff reaction was defensive. After 65 minutes breakfast still not served. No apology, no explanation. Very poor and we four will not return.
