I wanted to buy my wife a diamond neckless…
I wanted to buy my wife a diamond neckless as a present for our diamond wedding anniversary,so I made a bid on an item. But it came up I hadn`t reached the reserve price so I made similar bids on another two items with same answer.
Then all of a sudden the reserve prices were lowered and they declared I had now bought them.
After contacting them to try and cancel my bids I wa told that this could not be done.
I then received an invoice for all three items which included £695 admin fee for each one.
Two days later I received a further invoice for late payment, which again included the admin fees.
Again I rang them and was told quite rudely that I should have read their terms and conditions of purchase, which slearly stated they had the rights to do this.
If I wasn`t happy with this I should visit a solicitor. But I would be invoiced daily for further late payment fees.
I rang my solicitor who checked into their terms and conditions, who confirmed that I could not dispute anything.
The end result was that after i was wanting to buy one diamond neckless for £400 it finished up costing me nearly £5000.
I then questioned what did I get for paying £595 admin fees, and was told that tis was to cover insurance and authentification. But nothing was given.
The three necklesses arrived by everyday post with no paperwork whatsoever.
This company (If it is an actual company ) should be banned by Bidspotter from being allowed to trade like this.

This is scam organisation doubling as auction. After paying £1000 +vat for a car they asked for another £1314 a ridiculous surcharge and buyer’s premium. Before I could raise the money over the holiday and pay they said I will now pay an additional £2540 for late payment on invoice. These guys will ruin you don’t ever start with them they are terrible
Don’t buy from them
Don’t buy from them, they don’t give out all the information. Vehicles are sold as ‘runners’ but when you go to pick up they have engine faults which they don’t disclose. They post nice pictures but in truth vehicles have body marks.the yard is also in the middle of nowhere and difficult to get to. They also make it hard to communicate with the yard to ask questions about the vehicle insisting on emails only no telephone number for direct contact. You can only call the office which isn’t friendly. Their fees are very high and their aim is to fine you extortionate amount for late payments. Stay well away, There’s lots of really good auctions with transparency the key. If you’re nearby then definitely make sure you go to the yard to check the vehicle with an experienced mechanic. I buy from lots of auctions and these are by far the worst with a fancy name.
Be Warned !!!

I wanted to warn others about my experience. After being told I had won a car, I paid the invoice in full. Shortly after, I received a second email demanding an additional £1,170 in fees that were not clearly explained beforehand. And the shocking part is the FEEs is much more than the vehicle.
When I called to question this, the lady on the phone kept interrupting me and repeatedly saying, “ma’am, you agreed to this,” without properly explaining the charges.
I have never dealt with an auction like this before. The process felt very unclear and misleading, and the extra costs came as a complete shock.
I strongly advise others to be extremely careful and make sure you fully understand all fees before bidding or just avoid at all costs.

Just looked at fiat 500. No mention of damage to vehicle. Also disgusting admin fee £695 plus VAT. Do not buy of these scammers. All over auctions now

BEWARE...very unusual fee set up here- instead of the usual 25-35% commissions they add a staggering £695plus VAT on every bid accepted!! My bid was below the asking price-but the auctioneer then lowered this to accept my bid. I happily paid the invoice for £270. They then sent another invoice for £940 for admin fees!!!

Extremely concerning practices.
Extremely concerning practices, proceed with caution
My partner has had a very distressing experience with this auctioneer company, and after reading other reviews on Trustpilot, it appears this is not an isolated incident.
The company appears to lure customers into purchasing items through their site, only for the finalised lot to then be hit with excessive and unexpected fees, including administration charges of £490+, which are not made clear upfront. Once committed, customers seem to be placed under pressure, with additional lots later being forced onto them and invoices continually pushed, making it impossible for ordinary, hardworking people to afford the final amount.
From our experience, this felt highly manipulative and unfair. What is most worrying is that when researching further, we found multiple similar complaints from other customers describing the same pattern of behaviour — suggesting this may be a regular occurrence rather than a one-off mistake.
We also contacted iBidder for support, however they have not helped at all. Instead, they told my partner that he was in the wrong, despite the lack of transparency around fees and the issues raised. This response raises serious concerns and suggests a clear ulterior motive for iBidder to support these sales regardless of the impact on customers.
The stress and financial pressure caused by this has been significant. Customers should be fully informed of all costs before committing to a purchase, and that has not been our experience here.
We are currently investigating this matter through Trading Standards and the Financial Ombudsman, and would strongly advise others to be extremely wary before engaging with this company. Please do your research carefully and read the small print before bidding.
I am senior chartered accountant and from my experience in business over 10 years I can say I have never seen this type of manipulation. This needs to be investigated.
Predatory Bidding Practices - Manipulated Reserves and Hostage Goods
I am currently disputing several lots with Cambridgeshire Auctions. I have timestamped email evidence from i-bidder showing lots marked as 'Reserve Not Met' at the close of the auction, which were then manually changed to 'Won' hours later after I had already paid for other items.
Furthermore, the auctioneer altered lot descriptions multiple times during the live bidding process, violating the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They are currently withholding property I have settled in full as leverage to force payment for these disputed, unauthorized bids.
I know I am not the only one this has happened to. If you have experienced this 'Reserve Not Met' to 'Won' status flip or had your paid goods held hostage, please reach out. I am currently coordinating a formal report to Cambridgeshire Trading Standards and i-bidder Compliance to address these systemic issues.

Please avoid at all costs
Please avoid at all costs, I have just had to cancel my order after paying £1238 in addition costs and wanted a further £2990 for apparently late fees. This is owned apparently by husband and wife of late age but I don't believe it is them. I am forwarding all correspondence to the correct authorities but had to pay and loose my money to fight for it back. I would NOT ADVISE ANYONE TO BUY from this auction company and think all the auction platforms need to be aware of the companies they are allowing to abuse the system to vulnerable people.

Om my where do i start!
Om my where do i start
Just shocking
Firstly paid the inovice next day then got another invoice in return it was not clear of the further hammer charges so had to pay an extra £750.
I then paid this the next day i then to my horror got another invoice for late payment of £950 i called them they were not helpfull they just talk at you and at you and to you have no choice but to pay it as they threaten you with more charges of £100 per day storage. apparently paying 24hrs late incurs a 500 charge and interest
So u have now paid £2300 for a £500 winning bid
i then go to collect and guess what its a non runner sputtering out the yard
they refused to take the car back as we have moved it which then makes it count as a runner apparently.
We had to leave it there as it could not be driven i then got told we will be charged £100 a day for leaving it there
it was the most stressfull experience of my life totally terrible outfit
i really dont know how they sleep at night just awful people
had to get it recovered to a local gaarge and had a £800 repair bill so in all 4k for a car worth £500
Please do not use these people they should not be operating

Extortionate fees AVOID
I'm genuinely staggered at how they are allowed to trade with £500 admin fees for all lots sold
They're clearly trying to shaft buyers as there is commission on top of winning bid too!

Stay well away from this company do not trust the owner !
Beware of this company and its owner CAL do not use this auction site they operate in my opinion unscrupulously their fees are extortionate and they lied to me about invoices sent on time and then invoiced me horrific charges for so called late payment fees
If you have plenty of spare time read all of the other extremely poor reviews left by countless other unlucky customers who all say the same things about this person and the company
Based on legal advice I have taken I’ve reported ( as many others have ) this company and its owner to action fraud , the Cambridgeshire police along with their local trading standards and the auction site they operate on . Contacted most of the other poor victims from their feedback to get this company shut down and hopefully charges brought against the owner .
We have also based on investigation online with companies house etc reported the company and owner to HMRC
So a word of advice beware and stay well away from Cambridgeshire auctions limited
They miss represent the vehicles they advertise they don’t post decent pictures and fail to put and descriptions of any damage or issues the cars have
They state mileages are confirmed by DVSA mot checks , this isn’t a legal claim to make as DVSA mileages on MOts are not claimed to be correct they are just what’s stated at time of test , this has also been reported to relevant organisations
Hopefully in due course they will be closed down and relevant action taken against the owner.
Stay well away ! Listen to what the reviews tell you about this person who does nothing but prey on people’s honest good nature , it’s clear they have no conscious at all !!!!!!
One cars MOT had expired and they failed to advise this on the description
2nd car all 4 allots were horrifically damaged there was either a dent or bad scratch on every panel of the car drivers seat had a 12 inch rip in it interior fabric camo g adrift in several places centre arm rest ripped none of the photographs showed any of this as the pictures were either strategically taken or so poor quality that it hid the damage , it’s time this person and company were dealt with In the legal manner they deserve and steps are in place with many civil and criminal organisations to get justice for everyone

Hidden Fees
Hidden Fees, Misleading Charges – Avoid This Company
I strongly advise anyone to avoid doing business with Cambridgeshire Auctions. I placed a winning bid of £600 and paid my invoice promptly. However, shortly afterwards I was issued a second invoice with an unexpected £495 + VAT “administration fee” on top of a 20% buyer’s premium.
This additional charge was never clearly displayed on the lot page at the time of bidding – the only fee shown was the 20% commission. I have screenshots and invoices proving this lack of transparency.
When I challenged these charges, I was pressured with threats of further costs and enforcement instead of receiving any reasonable explanation.
Looking at other reviews here, it’s clear that many buyers have experienced the same hidden fees, excessive charges, and unprofessional behaviour.
In my view, this is an unfair and misleading way of doing business. If you value transparency and professionalism, stay away from this auctioneer.

Bought a Mini Cooper at Auction - whole process was straightforward and bidding platform easy to navigate. All details I needed were clearly set out in the listing with prompts before bidding to make sure nothing was missed. The collection point was a little tricky to find but office staff advised what three words ahead d time which really helped. Car is perfect and exactly as described. Very happy.
