I have visited many Coin sellers in my 20 years of serious collecting and I must say that Simon and his team are extremely Knowledgeable with all things coins and banknotes. Their website is a dream to browse and the ordering and receiving items via special delivery puts my wary mind at rest. Every person I have spoken to on the phone or in person are so polite and willing to help it is a breath of fresh air these days with profit first customer second ethos I find with most other sellers. I will continue doing business with Cambridgeshire Coins for many years to come. Recommend any serious collector to give them a go as their gradings are spot on and i’ve never had an issue. Regards,

Recently sold a broken gold 14ct chain and some silver bits and bobs to Cambridgeshire coins. The price they gave far exceeded other offers I had received. Very quick payment too.

I would highly urge people to reconsider using this company if you’re looking to sell jewellery. In short, it has been 6+ weeks to hear about a ring valuation with 0 communication unless initiated by myself. In response to my negative google review, they stated the details of the jewellery go to a woman in London, and that these valuations take longer due to not having the ring in person. At no point in the one email correspondence that I received from Cambridgeshire Coins, the telephone call I made on the 14th April chasing, the email I sent on the 11th April that was ignored or at the event in person on the 4th April did they inform me of this extended timeframe or that it goes to someone in London. What I was informed of on the 4th April is that I can expect a valuation by the following Monday, hence my ignored follow up on the 11th April. So not only are they non-communicative but also dishonest and clearly unable to take any form of accountability without fabricating excuses. So if you are considering selling jewellery, I would suggest going elsewhere with one of the many other companies that offer complimentary valuations.

I've been to Cambridge Coins twice now to sell some gold coins, and each time has been a genuinely positive experience. The process was clear, fair, and refreshingly straightforward — no jargon, no pressure, just honest dealing. I’d done my homework beforehand, and the prices offered were very competitive. What really stood out, though, was how friendly and welcoming Simon is — he makes what could be a daunting transaction feel relaxed and easy. If you’re looking to sell coins, I highly recommend paying this place a visit.

I have made a number of purchases over the last year or so and have found them a pleasure to deal with each time, communications are excellent and delivery times are fast. There was an issue with my most recent order but the team contacted me the same day and sourced me an alternate product without any fuss.

Very happy with the coins I received, and I especially like that you get a photo on their website of the coin you will receive instead of simply a grade. This feeds into buying for personal preference, as I typically don't seek out immaculate coins but I don't want battered ones either.

I was unhappy with the Effigy Victoria penny set from the Royal Mint, which contained extremely worn coins for the price. I was able to compile the same set of coins from Cambridgeshire Coins for a little more money but in far superior condition. Look forward to building my collection with them.

Excellent service from Cambridgeshire Coins. They offer a vast selection of coins from all over the world at competitive prices. The coin I purchased was in expected condition as described on the website. Super fast delivery within 24 hours of placing my order, can't get much better than that. Will definitely be using their service again.

Bought from Cambridgeshire Coins at least four times in the past few months and coins have turned up next day, one i even bought late afternoon.
All have been well packaged and packaging non descript which is good with valueables inside.
All coins have been really good condition except one which was exchanged for a different coin i was after or i was offered an instant refund.
They even phoned me to discuss the problem, were very helpful and apologetic over the coin.
Prices do vary but there are bargains to be had.
Recommended.

we are a family of three new customers that would have stayed with you for life, but all three of us won’t be - in fact all three of us and so disappointed by the way you have treated us that we are all giving up collecting coins totally

and why ? because the price of Gold went up overnight and you wouldn’t honour the deal on Sovereigns

Ignoring emails for two days

saying we hadn't paid carriage when we had

saying we changed delivery address when we hadn’t

saying you will call back when you didn’t

saying staff can’t get hold of anyone when you are all sitting in the same square foot office (ive been there)

leaving us on hold and then cutting us off

seeing our caller display and not answering phone

you are a COIN dealer and we bought specific coins - you then offered bullion replacements instead - if we wanted bullion we would have going to a bullion dealer and am sure would have been appreciated as customers

and of course we are now having to go through the dance of getting a refund

you’ve lost three long term customers for a short term £100 price hike

shame on you and yes i intend to tell my story in the trade and on review sites

please remove us all from your database, I don’t want to receive emails from you

Bought a 2014 year of horse coin 1 oz silver coin with a BU grade. Problem with the coin as was heavily cleaned. Half sov purchased looks OK.

Disappointing that a gold proof sovereign came without box or certificate. Having bought many proof sovereigns over the last 24 months this is the first time I have ever received a coin with 'Proof' written on a bit of cardboard. Not really acceptable.

Big thanks camb coins, I took unused gold necklace in they valued and paid transfer within hours with very fair price I was offered £500 for necklace but camb coins gave me fair £700 price, outstanding service, I drove 54 miles to make sale as is very trusted company, keep up the good work

Have dealt with cambridgeshire coins for a couple of years now buying coins from them and had no problems with the deliveries or the packaging or swiftness of the deliveries, but the latest delivery they told me I would be notified when the package was sent, parcel arrived this morning(23/05/24) and I'm still waiting to be notified that the package has been sent, hence the 4 star rating otherwise it would be a 5 star review

This coin company totally ripped me off. This less than professional operation is a ripoff and do not order from them unless you want to lose money. They only insure the package until it leaves their country (NOT US) so you have no standing when you receive a crumpled up package with no coins in it. You lose and they profit. Moreover, if you happen to be able to contact them they treat the customer like crap and laugh at you while they deny everything. They are well versed at the fraud game and how to get away with it.
