AVOID!!! I applied and had to call 5 times and I still never got my card. They had my address wrong then they kept sending me to the post office to confirm even though I already went! I got so frustrated I cancelled my account before I even got my card.

On Feb 5 2023 at 235 am I called 911 after witnessing a single ski doo accident. I did everything but the gentleman passed on me ! It’s only been 7 months ! I fell behind on payments and not just this card place because I didn’t return to work . I finally got back to work and have started to catch up ! But falling behind a few months is not a 1 week process. I was told if I clean up the card I would get it activated again ! 6 different representatives said that and all calls are recorded! I called and they said they won’t be doing that . I will never get it back . Then why did I clear it up . I could have used that money elsewhere. I don’t need this stress and I don’t even know what to think . I feel lied too ! Honestly look at all the reviews they are all no stars. I am going to the news and I am playing all the recordings
Holding my money interminably
Closed my secured card account with zero balance. 4 months later no communication and no refund, nothing. This company is absolutely using predatory practices to make money on the margins and abuse consumers. DO NOT sign up for a Capital One secured card. There are excellent alternatives out there (Koho Financial is one).

My card was lost and I can't cancel or lock it because nobody answers the phone at Capitol One!! I leave messages and no call back. My limit has never been raised in the 4 years I've had it but my other cards have no issue raising the limits. I'm so mad at the unprofessional behavior of this company.
There is no head office number either. Just the general number that nobody answers.

Have had a card with capital one for over 2 years. Started with a $300 limit which was great, now still with the same limit and have never had an increase. When I call to ask told they have no information. Can't even book a flight with the crappy limit. Very disappointed that there was no help when calling into the company. I make my payments every month and can't help you with anything. Will be cancelling as soon as I get my card from another company.
Used to be good, now garbage
Had a couple cards with Capital One, my last being the cash back card. I was great at first and was my main card, but they decreased the amount of cash back.
Very low limit on the card was another drawback and made it hard to use when I had larger expenses that month.
Ended up cancelling the card a couple years ago. Now when I apply they will only offer me some $59 annual fee card without cashback, only rewards with horrible points. Why would I consider this when I have World Elite cards with no annual fee?

ZERO stars!!!! Avoid this company at all costs. Had fraudulent charges against my card, they refused to refund the money - over $400 in a city five hours away - someone duped my card and was using it, they refused to refund. And, charged me overlimit $29 for charges I never made. Trust me, cancel this card or you will eventually be screwed!

Absolutely the worst. There is no automatic payment linking to bank account. I kept getting overdue because of this.
Absolutely a joke of a company
Absolutely a joke of a company. They no longer have a department that handles new card applications. There's no longer a department to take complaints. They are now outsourcing everything. They don't want to deal with people. The reps are completely robotic, reading off a script and NEVER deviating. Even when I asked the second rep to stop giving me programmed robotic answers, he couldn't. Their wills have been beaten into submission. They are now all robots. It's sad.
Worst credit card company
I had my card for about 6 months. I couldn’t use it for in person transactions, only online. No matter how much money I sent them, my limit stayed at $300 and I never got the excess money I sent in, back. This is an awful card and I wouldn’t recommend this to ANYONE.
Customer service horrible
I've spent the last 2 weeks trying to get into my online account. I've called in several times on several different days.
If you do not have a phone number you are not in luck for any good service. The representatives that I spoke to couldn't figure out how to help me when I do not have a number for them to call! I suggested to use my email. Well, they don't do that. It must be a phone number. What this last woman suggested to me was to use/put somebody else's number on my file instead! So they're going to get my one time private passcode! How secure is that??? Wouldn't my email be better than using someone else's phone number to send your one time code??? After trying to convince them for 15 to 20 minutes, they finally agreed to send it there. It worked. So all in all... they were horrible experiences with most of the 14 representatives that I had spoke with. Bad, bad, bad.
They deserve no stars!
Not only they mistakenly reported three missed payments on my account, which of course it did not happen even their own statements have the payments posted, on top of that due to their error which apparently was a glitch on their end, my credit score dropped 80 points for no reason, they did not acknowledge their mistake the customer reps were rude, they sent me a check for $150 as an inconvenience remuneration and they also ask me to sign a doc meaning I do not pursue any further if they do an internal investigation!!! Because of course they were gonna find they screwed up. A year later they go again into my credit report and send notice that I have consolidated my debt dropping my score 100 points this time. Is unbelievable when I called the customer service line which by the way is in Philippines, they have no clue whats going on, not surprise there. I knew from my previous experience with the bank in US that they were bad but never expected them to be this bad. Stay away from

Capital one is not the card you want in your wallet. I've tried posting on their Facebook page but never shows up wish. It would want to warn everybody if you get a capital one card in the mail throw it out !!! You owe them a little bit of money and man do they start calling you.... Capital One is an aggressive American…
Capital One is an aggressive American lender in the Canadian credit card market, and sells a related product called CreditKeeper. Capital One takes no responsibility for the wrong information it displays on CreditKeeperm which includes infographs like percent late payments without any evidence what are the total payments (denominator) or which are the late payments (numerator), So this is total nonsense and we let them get away with it???

I used this card in good faith. I don't understand how , after I deposited $400 of my own money for me to use , now I owe them them $400 plus interest. ( I get the interest part)
But this now means that it costed me more than $800 (on top of interest and fees i paid over the years) just to use their card.
I regret accepting their services.

If I could give -5 stars hat would happen. Got a card for the kid to use with a 300$ limit in January. Kid went to use the card and it was declined. Cars had never been used. Apparently they give the 300$ limit then within a month they charge a 59$ annual feel and then @79$ membership fee. That’s 46% of the cards value PER YEAR. This needs to be regulated and stopped. Cancelled the card and told them that the fees won’t be paid. Apparently they will credit them back. But still do. It get this card. Apply for a Canadian tire card if your in Canada. No fees

Do not get a capital one card. Ever. The intrest is rediclous. They also make it impossible to pay your bill if u don't have online banking. The only way to do it is to go into branch. If u miss a payment or 2 they will literally harras you by calling 5-6 times a day and leave blank voice-mails on your phone literally EVERY DAY never again. I paid my card off and I'm cutting it up. Rediclous compnay
