KOHO was recommended to me to help build credit and as a secured credit card. My experience with KOHO has been entirely positive and I am really thankful for the notifications to keep me on track! The round-ups are a great way to do a little forced saving, and the partner/cash back offers are worthwhile and legit.
Was good about a year ago but now it's not.
Months ago when I canceled my Essentials plan they said can we offer you a month at half price? I clicked ok but guess what when it was pay time for the essentials plan they took the FULL amount not half! Then I tried to contact their support which is just a stupid bot. And even had a screen shot of the half price offer and then a screen shot of the full price charge days later but never got to talk to a person so F them Koho more like KoNo
Constant fraudulent transactions.
Changed virtual card several times. Every few months my card information is used for fraudulent transactions overseas.
This card was only used for Amazon, Affirm transactions.

Easy to use website you have the possibility to borrow around $200 and pay back by the end of the month it's pretty cool website cool options and a visual of your cards, you get an online card and a card that's physical it's pretty cool. I check it out if I were you

And not only that but my spouse whom i share a joint account with hasnt been able to access his account for over 1 year and now they are trying to say he owes them money!! Like $180 for what ?!?! An account he cant even use..
Koho is the most god awful and useless company I have ever dealt with.
This last year KOHO customer service has taken a nose dive. I keep running in to very poorly trained agents who give you information that you know is completely wrong, which is completely unacceptable when you are playing with peoples money.
This last straw which is happening right now, is that someone has gotten hold of my credit card number and has made 8 transactions on my account for a total of $2341. Not only is the stress of some lowlife stealing my money not enough, dealing with KOHO has only made it 1000% worse.
I submitted the first disputed transaction exactly as instructed through the app. Entered all the information, uploaded documents, and the last screen is to cancel my card and get a new one. Done. Sent an email to fraud(at)koho(dot)ca and come to find out that goes directly to the general support chat. Who, after I explained everything in the email, asked me to explain my issue again, and send screenshots which I had already done when I entered my dispute. Then after sending everything again, this is when they say "I'll have to forward your message to the dispute team, and please allow them 24-48hrs to respond. I THOUGHT I WAS MAILING THE DISPUTE/FRAUD TEAM IN THE FIRST PLACE.
And this wasn't the first instance. Every Single time I respond to a message from the dispute team, my reply goes to the general chat who apologizes for my issue and forwards my message to the "dispute team" and again allow them 24-48hrs to reply.
And it doesn't end there. I'm then told I have to dispute each transaction individually, and then because 4 of the transactions were still pending, I can only dispute those when they are complete.
And it keeps going. Now I'm told I didn't complete the entire process so they can't proceed with the dispute. Which I CAN'T because on the last screen of the dispute process it's for cancelling my card which I have already done so it won't go past that screen.
ABSOLUTELY USELESS.
I really love KOHO I am using since 2018, always early deposit from Government. And KOHO help me to build my credit.

There's no banking fees unless u pick a monthly pkg that u want to pay for& i can get loans & build my credit by having a line of credit & also I get $300 ammth cover(aloan that I gets& then soon as its paid back i can get the $ again right away.Checks r deposited a day or so earlier than other financial companies/banks.Theres no ISF fees if theres no $ in your acc at the time a company tries to take $ then theres no $40-$45 charge sometimes id have to pay 2 or 3 isf charges a month when I was with rbc.They scammed my $700& wont give it back n they were supposed to close my acc but 2 yrs ltr and its still opened(but I dont have access to get into it.But they do to take monthly banking fees out ec mnth for an acc that is sposed to be closed&, that im not alowed to have access to..I nvr thought abank would rip me off.So be careful which bank u choose..I will nvr leave koho u can trust that they wont rob your $ also if anything theres always afew extra $ in my acc from them.They give u $ not take it like rbc. royal Bank of canada(have all the proof to show the past 2 yrs of them taking my $.So if your with that bank I would switch to koho or any other bank if koho isn't for you.(If u need an account to deposit checks in they dont have mobile check deposit or a teller that u can go to Thats the only reason why im saying if koho isn't for you.
Good until you need customer service I realize that someone is using my credit card without my consent and to speak to a human I have to pay 22$ monthly of not deal with ai that dosent answer what need to be answered
Very negative my experience. The costumer service with out any answers to a several emails for 8 months about a fraud just give the advise the" call will end any time" and left me one more time with out response. I believe for a company having a high rate on reviews these reviews are 100% manipulated.

No, I din't receive any efforce or contact from Koho trying to resolve the problem. Koho decide to close the account and never investigate or collaborate with me . The lack of customer human service was visible too. The answer everyone see below is just an automatic answer showing support but in reality no support at all.

I like that I can send money easily, stay anonymous when making purchases online and even have a shared account. So many programs to help manage money, credit score check and even financial advice. Amazing pre-paid credit card, stay safe with your information people!
