I rented a car with Car2Go in Sofia, Bulgaria. When we saw the guy coming with car the at the parking lot at the airport, we were quite shocke. It looked very bad from the outside (the car was 12 years old, with paint coming apart), and the interior was not good either (due to its age). We are told by a guy that there is no other choice, so we take it. After few days, we are on the highway from Sofia towards Greece, and an engine failure light switches on. Given I don't want to drive hundreds of km and be strained on a road somehwere, I stop on a petrol station and call the guy. He tells me that he is in Sinistra, more than 400 km away, and that there is noboy in Sofia to help us. Me, my wofe, two small kids, left completely on our own on a petrol station on a highway outside Sofia. After some angry calls, the guy makes his best to find a replacemenet, saying that there is only a price difference to be paid for an upgraded car. I finally end up in another car rental company, which finally decides that the only way to get a car from them is to pay the full amount for the rental, as they do not know this guy from Car2Go. So, I am oblidged to pay entirely a new car (we needd it for 30 days, quite a lot of money nowadays), leaving the old car there, without the possibility to sign any paper so that I do not bear any legal responsibility for leaving a car, which is not mine. After a lot of stress, and calls, I get my money back from Car2Go and solve the problem of the old, broken car. To cut it short, never again with this company. They do not have any office in Sofia, but a few guys running around Bulgaria, no assistance on the ground, and very old, awful cars.

On arrival and departure, the company staff arrived with a delay of almost 1 hour. The air conditioner worked very badly. The car was clean and comfortable.

Would not advise anyone to use this company. We had separate bookings for two cars, only one car was available on our arrival at airport car park, spent several hours and numerous phone calls before the second car was available. Having returned home was surprised to find they had taken two sums of unauthorised money from my credit card which had been used as security. Despite several phone calls and e-mails this money has not yet been refunded.

The worst car I've ever hired. tyres need replacing, brakes locked on, window stuck down, gearbox in reverse had major issues, leak in floorwell, lenses in headlamps scratched so couldn't see when dark. this car needs scrapping

I used the services of car2go and I was very pleased.The car I was using was in perfect condition.Very accurate in the rental and acceptance of the car and very good communication with costumers.
