I had been suffering from extremely frustrating allergies for years and was at my wits end, having researched for some time, I came upon Carahealth, on seeing Carina’s long list of qualifications and experience’s I contacted her and quickly arranged a consultation, I took a herbal tonic for eight weeks and I can honestly say I haven’t looked back. I have had two consultations with Carina at Carahealth for me to better understand which herbs and vitamins Io take to support my health issues. I found her to be knowledgeable and helpful. I have also used her tonics to boost my immune system. Unlike many US based alternative medicine practitioners I do not think she is just trying to sell her products. Instead she is trying to better educate and empower people to take steps to look after their own health. Much needed in this time of Covid 19.
I am aware of how lacking in knowledge much of the medical profession is of the detail and complexity of alternative medicine and how much it threatens the pharmaceutical industry. But I am also very sure that now more than ever complementary medicine is needed to support individuals to better take care of themselves and not rely entirely on a failing healthcare system to save them.
Of course laws are needed to control the sale of unproven drugs especially in these anxious times for people. But the traditional herbal medicines which Carina recommends have been around for a very long time and are well proven by testimony from those who have been using them for many years. We should not lose that knowledge or trust in what previous generations have learnt for us.

As there are still no approved treatments for COVID-19, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) this week warned Ireland-based Carahealth for offering unapproved herbal products and other products referred to as “Immune Tonic” on its website to mitigate, prevent, treat, diagnose or cure COVID-19.
The warning letter, released publicly on Friday, follows the distribution of warning letters to seven companies for making fraudulent and unsupported claims about products, including essential oils and colloidal silver, to treat COVID-19. FDA created a list of these unapproved products.
In its warning letter for Carahealth, FDA points to dubious claims on the company’s website, such as, “Constituents in herbs exhibit a diverse array of anti-viral, virostatic, immune enhancing and anti-influenza activities that may prevent and treat pandemic influenza.”
The company has 48 hours to respond to FDA via email to describe the steps it’s taking to correct these violations.
“Once you have taken corrective actions to cease the sale of your unapproved and unauthorized products for the mitigation, prevention, treatment, diagnosis, or cure of COVID-19, and such actions have been confirmed by the FDA, the published list will be updated to indicate that your firm has taken appropriate corrective action,” the letter says.
FDA also reiterated: “There currently are no vaccines, pills, potions, lotions, lozenges or over-the-counter
products available to treat or cure COVID-19.”

I am not happy to have my reputation tarnished by your online categorisation of me as a snake oil peddler. My products have not undergone clinical human trials. I do not promote a medical product as you claim. I promote food grade herbal preparations as defined under the EU herbal directive. As such I reiterate I make no claims in relation to my products treating human disease. All products carry a warning very similar to the warning you provide in your review in fact. I have integrity and take my responsibility as a representative of the CAM industry seriously. I do not aim to mislead the public. I never use the word "cure" and am insulted by your insinuations. Oh my goodness. What a lucky find. As I Googled aimlessly one evening for effective herbal treatments to fortify my immune system against attack from coronavirus, up came Carahealth’s Immune Tonic along with an informed piece written by its owner, Carina Harkin, who has an impressive array of qualifications including a Masters degree. The recipe for the Tonic resulted from her research into plant based antimicrobials and microbial resistance and Carina uses pharmacy grade extract which is three times stronger than most herbalists use. I ordered one bottle and was so pleased with the results that I have just ordered two more. I am convinced that if anything can prepare your body to fight the Coronavirus, this can - along with vitamins C and D, and zinc.
