Edit #2 - Never heard back from their customer service representative. I wrote to the NYS Consumer Protection Board and they attempted to resolve the issue and they never heard back from Carluex either. I wish I could upload the letter they sent me, but Trust Pilot doesn’t have picture uploads for reviews. Utterly disreputable and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs.
Original review - Purchased their “Air” model for a 2018 Subaru Outback. It didn’t work. For whatever reason, even after troubleshooting with their customer support, it wouldn’t display properly. Fine, these things happen. But when I requested a refund (their website claims “Hassle-Free Returns”) I never heard back from them again. Not only is this a form of consumer fraud, but it’s an awful way to treat your customers. Needless to say, I wouldn’t buy from Carluex if it was the only option in its product category; which it is not.
EDIT: 9/29/2024 - I emailed Carluex with the information requested and more, so here’s hoping they respond this time. I will post an update again if/when they reply, or if they don’t reply at all.

Carluex wasn't working for me so i wanted to return the unit and was asking multiple times for the return address. A Julia continued to give unwanted advice but never gave a return address. Looks like a scam, stay away from them if you aren't 100% sure that the unit will work in your vehicle

I recently installed this product in my 2023 Lexus IS 500, and I have to say, it's been a fantastic experience! Using it is super simple, and I love that I no longer have to dig my phone out to connect. The convenience it offers has really made my driving experience much more enjoyable.

This company is a SCAM and a FRAUD, I believe it should be reported to FTC.

Their site promised 30 day free return and refund.
This is just a lie!
I've been trying contacting them and they want you to send some videos... photos, checking versions releases.
After following all their instruction and providing the required information, the CARLUEX PRO+ device still was faulty:

1.) The Carluex Remote+ control doesn't pair with Carluex Pro+.
2.) The Carluex Pro+ is frequently disconnects during the drive.
3.) The call quality is very poor, with multiple echoes and noises.
With every answer, every message in Whats-App and E-mail, I was asking for refund and return of this order (CARLUEX3565) ASAP (including all it's parts).
And I still haven't received any information about the return address of this Chinese company.
This company is a FRAUD!

And I have to say, I love Carluex. I’m really impressed! Setting it up was super easy, and it works like a charm.

What I love the most is how much cleaner my car interior looks now. I don’t have to keep plugging in my phone every time I get in. It’s nice not having to click around on my phone while driving; everything just connects wirelessly.

This company is a SCAM!
I was assured the Carluex Air would work with my car. However, it didn't, very buggy, none of the buttons in my car worked. I asked for a refund and they just beat around the bush and eventually just ignored me. I had to file a Paypal dispute to get my money back.

I was initially worried about compatibility with my car (2019 Honda Civic), but those concerns were totally unfounded. It works perfectly, just like the ads said. It really transformed my driving experience. The installation was super easy - just plug and play. It's definitely worth the investment for the added convenience and safety of hands-free operation.

CARLUEX PRO+ I Love It

The Carluex PRO+ is a good device. I really enjoy watching my favourite videos in my car YouTube Netflix spotify ext.. I will definitely recommend all friends and family!!!

I am very satisfied with the Carluex Pro + Great customer service, great help and very professional great service.

This company is a scam. Their support is a joke, and refuses to respond to any messages or calls, and their "address" is actually just some random address in NYC. Even their phone number is a California number, while they claim to be in NY. They tried charging me for over $250, and said the box was "shipped", but USPS hasn't even received the package. If you are reading this Carluex, please post a direct number I can contact you with to resolve this issue. Otherwise, I shall be reporting your company to the FTC.

This was my feeling when I first saw the wireless Carplay adapter- if I want to charge my phone, why do I still need wireless CarPlay? Then I realized that it would be great if I could disconnect the charging without interrupting CarPlay, for example, using Apple Pay or something else in the drive-thru. Carluex solved this problem for me, so when I get my new car, I will probably still choose a wireless adapter.

I use the Carluex Pro Plus and it works great. I agree with what someone said, it makes calls better and more seamless (I also have an Android phone). Although there is still a little delay, it seems to be a little faster than USB. The main problem I had with USB was that it would randomly stop working, and if you looked at the wrong cable, it would disconnect and not reconnect.

The value of Android Auto/CarPlay wireless connectivity is relative. Now, because of the wireless connection, I didn't need to take my phone out of my pocket to use Android Auto, so the cost of the wireless adapter was worth it. So far, I haven't had any problems!

I bought my carluex air last Nov, it was working fine few past few months. Even though I’ve read reports citing poor performance and the support was not good. But they did help me when I needed it, for me it has worked better than I thought it would. After updating to the latest firmware, I’ve experienced minimal delay changing songs, no random disconnects or freezing. There is needed to use a TF card to upgrade, but other than that, no complaints whatsoever.

Carleux has the worse customer service ever. There site says 30 day refunds. I tried to contact them and they want you to use WhatsApp app. They responded with checking updates version releases and gibberish as I just want a refund. they wanting videos of the problem when ALL I WANT IS A REFUND. they since had whatsapp app listing me as spam and making it impossible to contact them. There product has extreme lag and is not useable in my driveway let alone while actually travelling. If I could give them zero stars I would of.

Within few days of using, I encountered many issues with the quality of the product. I did all the software updates until today 05/may/2024. I’m really unsatisfied with this product and it is not usable at all for me. I have been struggling with this product since day 1.

I have been in contact with the support for last 3 weeks and they just fool around with silly remarks and new software upgrades. Since 1 week, after software upgrade, Carluex Pro+ completely stopped working and support stopped responding. They lie about 30 days return policy. Don't fall for their lies.

1) This product takes a long time to connect to Apple carplay of my car for around 15 mins or don’t connect at all. I had to unplug and plug multiple times and it worked once.

2) when connected, I could receive calls via carplay, but my voice is not heard by the other caller. It happened many times and I couldn’t talk at all.

3) Many times, the google maps connected via carplay starts hanging while driving and map was stuck at one location. I could not add a new address also. Same happened with Waze also.

4) Google maps and Waze were getting blurry time to time and not visible while driving.

5) Carluex adapter connected to the wifi to do all the software updates were dropping all the time and I had to manually connect multiple times to make it work.

Before purchasing the Carluex Pro+, I inquired about its compatibility with my Acura, as it wasn't listed as a supported model. The company confirmed via email that it would work. However, after following all the installation steps, the device failed to connect to my car. Despite several emails and providing evidence of the issue, the company has been unresponsive to my request for a refund. It has been over five weeks without receiving a return address to send back the product. Their lack of communication is disappointing, especially after numerous attempts to resolve the issue, including trying to reach out to Julia from customer service, who I've been corresponding with. This experience has been the worst product and customer service interaction I've encountered, and it is regrettable that I have to write such a negative review. Do not fall for their lies of 30 day money back guarantee. They will ignore your request.

Absolutely zero communication regarding shipping of the product after almost a month of waiting for receipt, basically amounting to theft of money at this point.

Still holding to be passed to USPS for delivery, and no response with regards to inquiries about the delay or expected delivery time. Contacted via email and WhatsApp, only to have those messages disappear into the void. I absolutely *will not* order from this company again, and suggest that you do not either.

To the Company: emails to "hi AT carluex DOT store", and WhatsApp messages to (213) 301-2742, are garnering NO RESPONSE. Please check *your* avenues of communication to make sure they are still active, and provide more assistance than the canned, non-helpful generic "email/message us" response.

04/27 - still no change in status. This company cares about nothing short of getting your money.

The product arrived today well packaged. Small and robust design. But honestly the Carluex pro+ have some flaws too which I did not expect based on what the website claimed during demo video. There is considerable amount of lag in video and also the resolution is not close to HD. YouTube videos are jittery even on Wi-Fi connection.The interface is slow in response on the head unit of the car. Rebooted to device but still not much difference. Calls made using the interface also showed few seconds delay in transmission to the called person. The product either needs a firmware update or fix or higher processing power. Not impressed.

Got my carluex air 2nd April 2024 no user manual not a good start so i contacted support told me to update the unit updating the unit doesn't give you a user manual eventually got it all set up on the same day all loojed good youtube working sndriod auto working all seems ok then i go for a drive then it starts disconecting when driving having to stop all the time to get it all set back up then ot starts overheating so on the 3rd April 2024 i asked for return address still one week later and several emails no return address when they do reply all they say is update it i want to return it becouse its faulty and they won't give return address kerp away from this company unless you like to chuck money away because thats all you will do and customer care is no help at all i have asked my bank to intervene and my payment has been frozen

I purchased this to add wireless functionality to my Ford Kuga’s Sync 3. It was simple to install and seamless in use with no drop in performance in terms of lag or audio quality.

Fits perfectly within the armrest and so is not even noticeable when in use.

Very impressed and will be letting others know about this product
