Clear and simple to set up an account. Very good rate

Was asked for a Google review so here is a review without my name.

I opened an Isa account with Castle Trust a few years ago but never funded it as they only had a postal transfer in process. As their systems have changed and improved I opened another Isa with them encouraged by the prior telephone call. Following the good experience with the fast transfer in I even added this year's allowance.

GOOD POINTS:
Excellent telephone service with friendly efficient people.
Very competitive interest rates at the time.
Straightforward application process.
Excellent Isa transfer in with no delays.
Daily accrued interest shown in app to see your pennies grow!!

IMPROVEMENTS:
Secure message was replied to in 5 days !!!
Isa was electronically sent by old provider but shows as "cheque" in app.
Wrong date for Isa transfer in shown in app.
A secure message was sent to clarify the above errors as system limitations but should not happen in the first place.
Confusing process of dates shown leads to diminished trust. Fortunately daily interest update in app enables checking of the accrued interest.

Easy to open the account and from then on everything was transferred automatically. Excellent service.

It was not clear when opening the account that an app was available.
When I made the first deposit my bank refused initially to send the money as you were not recognised- this left me anxious if I was actually on a genuine site for the account I had opened.

Good rate on 5 year fixed rate and efficient transfer from the previous bank. Keep me informed.

Transferred an existing ISA to Castle Trust Bank as it was offering a more favourable interest rate. Everything went through without a hitch and good communication throughout.

Confusion x ( concerning wording regarding waiting until my money reached maturity in another savings provider. I wasn't sure this was going to happen until I spoke to a customer advisor)

Its been a month now and I couldn't be happier with Castle Trust ❤️,opening the account and completing the transfers couldn't be easier. CT have done everything I've asked and in a very speedy manner. If your in the market for a fixed cash Isa then look no further and the interest rate for their 5 year is tough to beat. Invested with Castle Trust for 2 reasons - FSCS proected and good rates.
Also have to say I have found their customer service to be responsive and helpful

Great rate for my ISA. I have previously had an account with Castle Trust. Their on line portal is easy to use. They always pick up the phone and are extremely helpful if you have any questions. I feel my money is in safe hands with castle trust

So easy to set up an ISA just follow the instructions. Offered a good rate. Kept informed at every stage and money transferred seemlessly.

Easy to talk to someone and open up an account.

I transferred a cash ISA to this bank. Prior to maturity at Newcastle B.S. they informed me they had - to use this awful modern term, "Reached Out" to that bank.
I then asked them to complete the transfer on maturity as their application did not allow a date to be added. That would ensure no interest was lost. Unfortunately, that fell on deaf ears at both banks and several days interest was indeed lost. Instead, Newcastle BS and Castle Trust Bank simply hide behind HMRC giving them a 15 day window to complete.
Other Cash ISA transfers with other banks/ building societies manage this quite easily to satisfy their customers, but obviuosly this is too hard for Castle Trust Bank to achieve.
Maybe they need to pay more attention to their customer base, or they will simply diminish like Northern Rock for example..
