I had a great experience with Josh and his team. It was very simple to set up the move. On the moving day, they were punctual very efficient and organised and made a time that could have been very stressful fairly calm. I would highly recommend their service.

Caversham Moves moved us on 14th April 2026. I will start with the positives.
The house contents were moved and installed satisfactorily. The crew were pleasant and worked hard.
However, I made the manager aware of 3 large Japanese Acers in pots that were very precious to me, he assured me they would be looked after. The moving and transportation of these plants was a disaster. Despite raising my misgivings of the methods used, one 20 year old tree in particular, suffered an horrendous amount of damage. I was horrified and devastated, any keen gardener would understand.
I have discussed my disappointment with the company and although I have received an apology from the manager, no gesture of recompense or good will has been offered.
If a household item had been damaged, I could claim on the insurance, but this, I cant.

Amazing service from start to finish! Josh & his team packed the house & moved us over 200miles away over 3 days. They really helped to take the stress out of relocating.

Jason and his team were excellent! We have not unpacked all the boxes yet but I would say we are 80-85% of the way. We have not found any damaged items and Caversham Moves has picked up all the boxes we have unpacked to date.

Short version we would not have been able to move effectively without contracting them - they were professional, friendly and really honest. 10/10 service!

From the outset, the team were extremely professional, efficient, and fairly priced. What really set them apart was that they took the time to visit us in person and provide a detailed, thoughtful quote rather than relying on an online form. Although their quote was slightly higher than some other companies, we chose Caversham because they were far more attentive, thorough, and clearly cared about doing the job properly.

Ahead of the move, they dropped off boxes and packing materials (they also offer a full packing service at an additional cost) and took the time to clearly explain how the moving day would run, which was very reassuring.

On the day itself, they arrived promptly and worked incredibly quickly and efficiently. They carefully dismantled our furniture (beds, wardrobes, etc.), packed the truck with great care, and protected both the old and new properties by covering floors with specialist moving mats and wrapping any furniture at risk of damage.

They went above and beyond by also organising the disposal of some old couches, which made a big difference for us.

The owner, Jason, was hands-on throughout—regularly checking in, coordinating his team, and walking through the new property with us at the end to make sure everything was placed exactly where we wanted and that we were happy.

They came recommended by a friend, and we would recommend them again without a second thought.

P.S. Number one rule when organising movers: don’t forget to offer the lads coffee and tea… and don’t pack the kettle like I did. The local Costa saved the day!

I knew from the moment that all four movers shook me by the hand and introduced themselves that this was going to be a good experience... and I was right. Great team, nothing was too much trouble, they just kept going until the job was done... and kept smiling. Everything delievered in one piece and into the right room. I'll use Caversham Movers again (if and when we have to upsticks next!)

Wow what a great team! Fantastic set of lads, knew exactly what they were doing, very polite and stress free move even though we didn't get the keys until after 3pm. I would strongly recommend Caversham Moves Ltd. Shout out to Josh for giving me confidence to accept his quote, Jason leading the team on the days and being a jolly and knowledgable guy, & John for his quality packing skills. We had about 4-5 other guys in and out across the two days, who I didn't catch their names - but everyone was great!

I recently used this company to help me move out of my home, with belongings split between storage and my temporary place.

The whole process was quick and efficient – On moving day, the team were fantastic: polite, tidy, and careful with everything.

I was so impressed I tried to book for storage removal and into my new house.

Unfortunately, my experience has changed significantly following my recent move out of storage.

On moving into my new home I was told that many of my belongings had been stacked without care, items had not been properly protected, and, most concerningly, my TV was missing. As a result, my dining table has been damaged and the TV is unaccounted for, with the total loss amounting to nearly £2,000, not including smaller damages to lamps and other items.

I contacted Caversham Moves about this, and while they discussed it internally, I was told that the team had dropped the TV off at the temporary house I stayed in. I can confidently say that I would have noticed a 55” TV in a two-bedroom cottage.

I’m really disappointed that this has been the outcome, and that no resolution has been offered. It’s also worth noting that the storage unit could not be properly inspected by anyone, as the doorway had been completely blocked by a super king mattress - which Caversham Moves had placed there. I was the only person with a key to access from that point and the mattress was still in the same position when the storage was reopened, making it clear that the space hadn’t been checked or accessed since it was first packed.

All staff were friendly, efficient, helpful and considerate.
Absolute excellent service, I would recommend them to anyone

Great company

Myles Kay and John were so helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they all worked really hard navigating furniture around awkward areas of the house. They were very respectful with our house and made sure that furniture was always carried and never dragged across easily marked wooden floors. They even took their shoes off or laid protection to ensure that floors didn’t get mucky. I highly recommend them. It is our first ever move using a removals company and they were fantastic!

Brilliant job from a strong, efficient and friendly team. Dealt with any tricky stuff really well, got things where they needed to be neatly and without fuss. Highly recommended!
