Majority of providers are psychiatric nurse practitioners lacking in real world psychiatric care experience. They will refuse you treatment if you want more than very basic care for general depression or general anxiety. The service is a waste of money and you are better off going to seek real professional care.

Was Misled, then had my Time Wasted
Was misled the entire sign up process into thinking this was the place to go for ADHD medication but just like every other dime-a-dozen janky online mental health provider out there, they can only prescribe non-stimulants. If that works for you, great, but as someone who actually suffers from ADHD and needs effective medication, this was a waste of time and money and I'll never be back.

Cerebral uses subversive, inaccurate statements on their website & take your money.
Prescriber could not help me. While Cerebral's Advertising says they work with ADHD issues, it does not say that Cerebral is not able to work with controlled substances. I am on adderall. I made this clear in my intake. It was not caught. Thus the 15 minutes I spent on the phone with the prescriber cost me the entire $160 that I paid to start the subscription as Cerebral does not do refunds. They are using all AI canned responses for all of their intake. There was no ability for their program to catch the key words Adderall and ADHD and respond with their inability to work with controlled substances. I would not have subscribed has I known that from the get go.

Dystopian capitalist company
i’ve been going to cerebral for my medication for around 4 years. Always got my medication right and everything. Prescribers are decent. it’s hard to find one that actually helps and isn’t rushing you the whole time. I did have a problem with them though. I was going through a rough financial patch and couldn’t afford the $180 subscription for three months. I was out of my medication an withdrawling heavily to point where I had to go to the emergency room. I reached out to cerebral begging them to send an emergency refill because i was terrified of withdrawling and in good capitalism fashion they denied me and said no until i pay the $180. it was pretty dystopian and disgusting especially coming from a company that claims to “care about their patients mental health” yet have absolutely no consideration for their patients withdrawling. it’s an alright brand it’s just a typical capitalist company who doesn’t care about their patients at the end of the day! save your money because cerebral does not care if you’re withdrawing from the medication they provided to you! They also sent me an email around 1-2 years ago saying they were caught selling their customers data information and that they had to legally tell their patients. So that was also pretty disgusting ! They let me withdraw and also stole my data and sold it to god knows who. Beware

Finally found someone who made me feel comfortable

Making the appointment was the hardest part
It was a little scary to open up to a stranger about why I needed mental health medication. But Cerebral lets you choose your own provider for a reason and making the appointment was the hard part. Showing up and advocating for myself turned out to be the easy part.
Fola was kind, compassionate, and let me lead the conversation unless she had an important question or something required by law. She listened without rushing me and I left feeling heard.
Both the platform and my provider got me back on the path to feeling like myself again. If you're scared to try, make the appointment. That's the hardest part.

I am extremely disappointed with…
I am extremely disappointed with Cerebral! I saw a Dr, then she canceled for follow up. I was charged !
I went to pharmacy to pick up meds and my refills had been closed out! I could not pick up vital mental health meds with significant side affects if not taken!
I go in to rebook and find that there is an error message indicating a problem with the drs licenses!!!
No warning. No contact. Just left me with no medication!!!
This is deplorable and I will not be paying my outstanding bill due to having to pay another Dr for the same meds!!

The convince of everything being in your phone and mailed to your door is a real game changer. The app can be a little buggy with new features as they roll out, however this doesnt effect the level of care you receive in the slightest.

Cerebral changed my life
I started cerebral almost 3 years ago now and it changed my life for the better. I have tried countless other therapist, programs, and medications with zero success. Then I came across cerebral postpartum from my second baby. I started medicine first and the prescriber listened to everything I had to say and got me on a working combo. I then started weekly therapy sessions and after 2 years of hard work I can say I no longer have active depression and can manage my anxiety.

Just what the doctor ordered
Since the last pandemic the landscape for mental health has changed, personally I feel it is for the better. Telehealth is an effective way for communication between a provider and a client. Allowing easy access for a client to access a provider is fundamental in addressing the mental health concerns of today. Unfortunately mental health still carries a stigma, one that will hopefully be changed soon due to the effects that this company Cerebral is making.
