Tony responded quickly to my enquiries and got the jobs booked in which required a bricklayer and plumber. I was very happy with both jobs and the guys that completed the work were punctual, professional and polite. I will be booking more work with them soon.

Absolutely amazing! Tony inspired confidence in me, after I had just been scammed by a roofer. He was very knowledgeable, extremely thorough, especially in finding the source of the problem, very polite & punctual. He explained the before pics & after pics, as well as calling a few days later to make sure I was happy with the repair.

I highly recommend Checkmate. Tony, the project manager inspired confidence in me from my first conversation with. He came to my property to assess the work required and organised the tradesmen to carry out the the repairs in a timely and systematic fashion. He liaised with me at every step of the work and quickly found a solution to a particular problem. When the work was complete he came to my house to inspect it and made sure I was happy with everything.

I recently hired Checkmate Facilities to undertake some extensive renovations on my house. This project was incredibly important to me, as I had been waiting and saving for over 10 years to finally renovate my home. The project included removing an old kitchen and a wall, installing a new kitchen, replacing all exterior and interior doors and windows, installing new flooring, and replacing radiators throughout the house. With no idea where to start, I luckily found Tony at Checkmate Facilities online.

From the very beginning, the process was thorough and quick, with everything explained in detail. Tony and Gary (and all 3rd parties hired) were extremely friendly and hardworking, always ready to answer my numerous questions with patience and clarity. Cheryl in the office was also fantastic, always professional, friendly, and quick to respond to my queries via email.

During the renovations, a few changes had to be made due to updates in building regulations and a room split that was done prior to my moving into the house. Tony explained all the changes to me and advised the best way forward. These changes included swapping external windows to fire escape windows and installing a fire alarm system, all making my home safer.

The entire project, from starting the work to completion, took just 7 weeks. The work was carried out exactly as contracted, and the final results exceeded my expectations. I am extremely happy with the completed job and highly recommend Checkmate Facilities for any renovation needs. The entire team made the experience stress-free and enjoyable, and their craftsmanship is top-notch.

I found Check Mate Builders to be very professional in their approach in the repair and refitting of my fire door.They took everything in hand from start to finish,contacting all the people concerned.So there was less for me to worry about.So i would recommend their service to others.

The 2 main builders were always cheerful, considerate, and hardworking. They made helpful suggestions if it was unclear what I wanted. The quality of work was good, and they were careful to clear up afterwards, though of course there was still plenty of dust about.

I’ve had Checkmate Facilities come to work for me Both work wise and personal. Tony and his team work is absolutely amazing and you get exactly what you pay for with no shortcuts. They corrected a job that someone else did on my bathroom and multiple times where we’ve had leaks and since they been I to fix that is has never come back and we’ve never had a problem With time management. I would highly recommend them to anyone for any job big or small and I cannot thank Tony, Gary, and the rest of the team for helping us on our journey on our first home.
