Good prices IF they actually have the item/s you ordered and shipped them. My first order I waited about 2 weeks for. The second I've been waiting a month in a few more days and it hasn't even shipped yet. I've tried emailing with no response. "IF" I actually get this last and final order I'm done with them. In no reasonable terms does it take a month to ship something in this day and age. I've been on the other side of the counter and I had people getting upset their items didn't go out that day that didn't even pay until after midnight and 1:00 AM - 2:00 AM type stuff. Sorry I didn't stay up all night and shipped them out the following evening. Ebay 100% Top Plus requirements. The gas stations and Walmart aren't open 24 hours anymore and I'm not either....sorry! Ridiculous and I won't do business with them again. If I don't at least get a tracking number pretty soon I'm turning them into my bank claims department.

The last time I ordered from Chicago knifeworks I never did receive my order and it was a dance through hoops to get it canceled and refunded. Now I've ordered a second time after 2 years and I know that I'm going to get the automated answer that non-expedited orders are going to take between 4 and 5 days to ship well it's been over 10, and I've emailed them three times with no response which is exactly the experience I had two years ago I should have learned my lesson I will not be ordering from them again

are they a legit company? the answer is yes...purely ecommerce...nice website...great selection of goods offered...great prices...often offering the lowest...why only2 stars? severe lack of customer support and i mean frustratingly lacking in this department and the long processing time for the orders...even when one pays the expedited charges for quicker processing it can still take up to a week for your order to be processed...and that doesnt include actual transit times..if you are looking for great prices this is a good place to buy but be prepared to wait for a while before you get your order...need customer after sales support? be prepared to be severely disappointed

This is the slowest online store. Delivery can take up to a month. There is no customer support. I do not recommend it.

I'm traveling. So before placing an order, I inquired which carrier they'd be using, so I could order it to the right pickup location. They said USPS so I chose General Delivery.

Placed order on January 16 2026 and was charged on January 20 when they created a shipping label with UPS.

I immediately reached out to them to adjust the address to a UPS Access Point. They said they are looking into it. But nothing happened and nothing was shipped.

After that I have not been able to get a status update, nor had they shipped anything. Repeatedly tried calling and emailing CKW, they ceased all communications. Absolutely nothing, until I filed a billing dispute with my bank 2 weeks later that triggered some lame apology email.

That place needs to be shut down. Beware.

I've ordered from here several times before. Never had the experience others have had with slow shipping.
But now is my turn I guess. It took them TWO WEEKS! Just to get a single folder into the mail. No delivered! Two weeks just to get it going! What?

I wrote a pretty harsh review previously, indicating I had been ripped off. I should have been more patient. My order arrived 3 weeks after being placed from an address in Virginia, vice Chicago. They came through, but their business practices don't inspire confidence. They charged me immediately, got a notice that the order was complete 10 days later and finally a week or so after that a shipping notice arrived.

Used to be great, one of my go-to online retailers. They offered the lowest prices, and I placed many orders over the years. Recently though, order processing times have gotten longer from several days to a few weeks. Then they charged me for an item they later said was out of stock and promised a refund they never issued. I sent emails, talked to them on the phone, and eventually had to get my bank involved. Unacceptable. Chicago Knife Works is either dishonest or incompetent. Do not order from them.

I had no choose to file a compaint with the local FBI for wire and mail fraud as this Company defrauded me of my purshase, did not send me what I ordered and never responded back , be aware ...

I’m very pleased with Chicago knife works eve thing I ordered came as described I placed a few orders different days and mobeen emailed me and told me he put everything in one shipment n I received everything fast will definitely buy more knives from them..Johnny Gonzalez

The owner is constantly trying to pull a fast one on their consumers and will avoid keeping their word. The owner is an extremely dishonest con artist grifter. They will constantly jump around their prices and attempt to blame the manufacturers if you question them about why their prices keep jumping around. It’s the owner(who’s not American), it’s not the manufacturers. He has no issue lying and will frequently do it. The owner does not have the manufacturers permission for the discounts they’re using when adding an item to the cart here. That’s why all their discounts come in a hidden/shady way with no advertised time frame. The owner of this store shouldn’t be allowed to sell for majority of these companies and they should lose their right to be an authorized dealer. They are devaluing companies brands, similar to adept knives because adept knives will use this companies illegitimate pricing and match it. If a brand new product is selling for 20-25% off, doesn’t that scream something is wrong with the retail price or the owner is grifting? They are not providing a cheaper price for the benefit of the consumer. The reason they’re providing a cheaper price is to undercut the competition and get sales they’d never get without it. If this store wasn’t constantly cheating map pricing policies, they wouldn’t have a business because nobody would buy for them. The owner is so dishonest and not respectable at all. He didn’t keep his word on refunding me 20 dollars for a damaged product he sent me. I didn’t agree to 20 dollars, 50 dollars would have been a more practical amount for the damage he caused. Your order from here can take 2-3 weeks(or longer, it’ll take them a month to admit they don’t have something) just to ship because they’re drop shipping everything from blue ridge knives in Marion Virginia, the same wholesaler blade hq uses. The owner will switch the price of an item if you check too much. The owner used to stalk what I did on their website and adjust the prices accordingly. They switched the prices of the items in my cart on Black Friday 2024 and I never did business with them again. I know for certain it happened exactly how I claim because nothing else had their prices adjusted. The owner will also take free gifts manufacturers intended to be given to the consumer with purchase of their products and they will sell them for additional profit for themselves. The owner also tried to implement a rewards program, but didn’t have it in them to reward customers for loyalty because he does not value repeat customers at all. I spent close to 2000 dollars Black Friday 2023 when they had this program, I didn’t even receive a redeemable amount of points when 2 other stores gave me 100 dollars store credit for similar money during this time period(one with a lot less spent). 1000 dollars spent anywhere with a rewards program is typically at least 10 dollars(if they have a horrible program that is, or up to 100 if they have a good one) The owner is a Scrooge because they’re not American and don’t celebrate the same holidays. They deleted their rewards program because it was killing them to give any repeat customers a break in price and reward them for loyalty. When they deleted the rewards program, they didn’t even give me a redeemable amount to use even though my points represented thousands of dollars spent at their store. When confronted, the owner will go turtle mode and hide in their shell. You’d think someone grifting like this would have more of a spine. The owner is the lowest form a human being can get and one of the worst people you could ever have the pleasure of interacting with. They called me before Black Friday 2023 to warn me they’d have tons of stuff on sale, they weren’t supposed to discount. They claimed they did the same thing the year before and they would just play ignorance if they were caught. They’re a huge grifter and an extremely dishonest person that totally deserves the wraith of justice.

It's a real shame what this company has become. Been using them for years and they used to be great. Honestly can't beat the prices.

But the past year it's just been going downhill. Slower and slower shipping, less and less communication.

I ordered 10 knives on Dec. 26, 2025. I couldn't change my address online so I called in on the 29th and spoke to a nice gentleman who updated the address for me.

They didn't ship until January 21, 2026. A month was pretty ridiculous, but ok. They've shipped. They shipped to the old address and were returned because I was out of town. I got back home on the 27th of January and headed to the post office to discover no box. Checked the email and realized they had shipped to the wrong address and they had already been returned to the warehouse.

Cut to me emailing, calling, emailing, calling. Can never get a single email replied to, no one ever answers the phone. I FINALLY get a hold of someone and he tells me he's gonna call the warehouse to see if it's been restocked or not. If it hasn't; it'll be reshipped today! If it has, he'll make sure they ship it out by wednesday. He's gonna text me back on his personal cell when he finds out, shouldn't take more than 2 hours.

That was 7 hours ago. No text. I tried calling again, back to no one answering. Still no email replies. At this point I'll just do a chargeback. But it's heartbreaking what they've become when they used to be so great and I've ordered 100s of knives from them.

I ordered several knives before Christmas to take advantage of their holiday sales event. I didn't mind that it took so long to ship, which seems odd for these days. But when they shipped a lesser knife instead of the one I ordered, it felt like I had been done wrong. However, after three emails to their sales address without the first sign of even an acknowledgment, it was obvious that this was not a simple mistake but something that CKW has no intention of correcting. I can't say that they have horrible customer service as it is evidently non-existent! I won't do business with CKW again.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I had a great experience all around with this company. Competitive pricing, fast shipping (ordered 1/7 and recd 1/13) with up to date notifications. Product is impeccable. Will work with again

Low level business..they wont send your item unless you finally chargeback the money they took (12 days later). From then on they’re magically on point to try and “intercept” the package. Extremely petty

Price is good but I haven't received my order that I placed on 12/16/2025 & paid extra for shipping. Calling is a joke never answer leave messages with no response. Send emails and get the oh will look into it or we have been swamped excuses. When I did get a tracking number all it said was lable made ups didn't have the package yet. Send emails and get a oh shipper didn't scan it but I will see about getting a replacement. Then I request a status on that with tracking information and no response.
I Would not recommend doing any business with them at all
Update i received a text message from Mobeen Ashiq stating a second package is being sent out and i should be able to track it in a few hours. I requested the tracking number and was sent it. After waiting a couple of hours I checked and same message as before then noticed it was the same tracking #. I replied letting them know and no response it was during business hours. I am now more frustrated 😠 with this situation.
Update finally recieved the item after all the delays and run around.
I will not ever shop them again and warn anyone thinking about shopping with them to just shop elsewhere

Terrible shipping times and customer service. Should be your last choice retailer for outdoor goods.

Made an order of 4 knives and a ceramic sharpening rod. One of the knives wasn't included in the shipment even though their email said it had shipped. It's now listed as out-of-stock on their website but I never received a refund. Will try to do a chargeback with my credit card.

Pasted today, directly from their landing page. It is a dishonest discourtesy for someone like the previous "reviewer" to state that this business itself states "5 to 8 business days", when in fact they clearly claim they process in 4 to 5. You undermine goodwill in business practice. My order, like so many others, ran past the stated processing window. This was earlier this month. An email I sent requesting shipping status then went unanswered. So rather than endure being made to wait in the blind for something I may eventually receive after payment, I disputed the charge and shopped elsewhere. As consumers, we do in fact have purchasing power. It's up to us as to whether or not we use it.

10/27- Definitely keep your money or they will take it and give you nothing in return. Don’t let the discounts fool you like it didn’t rest of us. 1 star
11/4 update- Order shipped. I was wrong, they will eventually send you a knife. 3 stars
11/7 update- Knife arrived. Safe, sound and beautiful. I do admit once you get used to the slow shipping 🤷🏻‍♂️ we’re all just so used to Amazon these days. 4 stars
