This is second trips arranged by china discovery travel agency. Shirley Yan is excellent. Her English and Chinese are great. First trip to the greater bay area. 9 older folks had a wonderful time, visited our village and ate best Cantonese food. I met my cousin. We went to Wong Ma Ma local cuisine which the Guide Louis brought us there. What an experience.
They arranged us to take the high speed to train to Chiu Shan , enjoying the local culture, watching the opera.
We went to Garden botanical garden in Canton,
I highly recommend an arranged private trip for old people like us from China discovery.

The tour was well-planned, and we felt safe and well looked after the entire time.
The drivers and guides were fantastic. A special shout-out to our driver, Ms. Liu (Dali to Shangri-La), for her steady driving and friendly nature. Our guides were all incredibly knowledgeable and flexible with the itinerary. Sophie was wonderful to work with from start to finish—so resourceful and helpful with every request—and our guide in Lijiang also took excellent care of us.
Regarding hotels, we had a great stay overall. Thank you to the Kunming hotel team for listening to our feedback; after an initial noisy room with weak AC, they took care of us on our return stay with a quiet, cool room. The only downside was the Holiday Inn at Shangri-La. The extra bed provided was a creaky, foldable cot that caused a backache. Since all other hotels provided proper third beds, you might want to flag this for future guests, particularly older travelers.

Our second journey to China with China Discovery and Rita was an absolutely fascinating experience. The custom itinerary I created was flawlessly brought to life, taking our group of 20 travelers from Mexico across countless incredible destinations, including Beijing, Xi'an, Tibet, Datong, Guilin, Zhangxia Xie, the Longji Rice Terraces, Chongqing, and Shanghai. We've now traveled with China Discovery by Wonder’s travel arrangements around China several times. Every itinerary he has arranged has been perfectly tailored to our needs, making our travels smooth, enjoyable, and completely stress-free.

Our first trip with him was to Guilin and Yangshuo. We initially only knew we wanted to visit Huangyao, but Wonder designed a wonderful itinerary that included Guilin, Yangshuo, and a beautiful Li River cruise. Everything was organized flawlessly, from comfortable hotels to safe transportation.

More recently, when my senior parents came to China, we asked Wonder to organize four different trips for our family. He carefully considered every detail, including public holidays, travel distances, my husband's early departure, and my mother's fear of heights. We had a fantastic trip to Zhangjiajie. Our itinerary was put together by China Discovery and covered all of the sites and locations we wanted to see. We had fantastic service from Wonder Wang who took care of all of the details. Our guide for the trip (Anna) was wonderful. She took great care to look after us, even tailoring our itinerary to make sure the weather didn't spoil any of our visits. I have used China Discovery and Wonder Wang for several previous trips, and will be using them again for our next trip. We couldn't imagine getting better service.

This is my 3rd trip with China Discovery and once again it was amazing! Travelling into and through Tibet can be challenging when you don't speak the language, but China Discovery makes everything easy. Our guide was extremely experienced as well as knowing everything about the local culture. We traveled down through Tibet to Everest where we got to see the sunset and sunrise over the mountains. Amazing. Would reccomend this company to everyone.

I just returned from an absolutely amazing private tour to Suzhou, Huangshan, and Wangiang Valley, This was all organised for me by Travel Consultant, Leo Li of China Discovery. From my initial contact with China Discovery, Leo Li was very prompt in responding to my request, he understood clearly what I wanted to visit and worked out an excellent itinerary for me. I cannot praise him enough for his efficient and excellent organisation - transportation, accommodation and detail itineraries were all meticulously taken care from my arrival through to leaving China. The drivers & guides were punctual, professional and respectful. The guides were very knowledgeable and more importantly they made sure I was safe and comfortable.

We recently completed a 2-week private tour of China organized by China Discovery (Chengdu Bamboo International Travel), and it was truly an incredible experience from start to finish.

From the initial planning stages to the final day of our trip, she was responsive, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. One moment that truly stood out was the extraordinary support we received in Zhangjiajie. I had an issue with my credit card at a local ATM, which could have easily become a stressful situation. However, Tracy Tan and the local agent responded immediately and worked together to resolve the problem quickly and efficiently—even after we had already moved on to our next destination. Their responsiveness and commitment to helping us went far beyond expectations and gave us real peace of mind.

Another highlight was the incredible local food we experienced throughout the trip. Each destination offered something unique, and we had the chance to enjoy authentic regional cuisine that was both delicious and memorable. Along with that, the hotels in every city were excellent—comfortable, well-located, and a perfect place to relax after full days of exploring.

I just finished a 10 day trip with China Discovery. It was amazing from start to finish. Jack our travel adviser provided guidance on the best route beforehand and all the tour guides were awesome, welcoming, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with.

It was lovely to have just the 2 of us (myself and my partner) with our own guide, in places where normally its many tourists huddled around a single guide. We learned so much about the culture and history this way.
