Great guide and good accommodation. We had six in our group and it was ideal. Our guide always found good places for our meals. A few early starts to avoid crowds. Would have liked to spend more than one night in some places.

Excellent guide and no one could deliver better information. Best Guide I have ever had.

The history and food and guide were great.

We have recently finished the Essential Turkey twelve day tour with Ciconia that visited Istambul, Cappadocia, Konya, Antalya, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Izmir, and Cannakale.
This tour was very interesting, comprehensive and well paced.
Both, Baris, our bus driver, and Gürkan, our guide, were excellent. We were also lucky to have a group of only 13 people.
We stayed in four and five star hotels. My two favourite ones were the Marriott in Antalya and Hotel Divan in Istambul.
I would highly recommend this tour.

What a fantastic tour we had in Turkey. Gurkan and Burash were the best. Burash needs a medal for his coach driving skills. Would be happy to restart the tour with the same crew tomorrow.

We did a 16 day Egypt and Jordan tour. The tour was great and both guides were wonderful. Hotel accommodation was a good standard. All our hotels in Jordan were fantastic and we loved our stays at all the locations in particular The Dead Sea and Wadi Rum. I dropped a star as in Egypt the Nile Cruise let the tour down. Rated 5 star we were all disappointed by the quality compared to other boats we saw. Whilst the rooms were clean and comfortable, the dining area was cramped and the buffet made some members of our group unwell (probably due to the volume of other passengers than the staff on the boat). We then realised that in Egypt it goes to 7 star so essentially we were on at best a 3 star boat. We feel this was misrepresented by Ciconia. That said the tours off the boat were great and ultimately that’s what we were there for.

From the moment we landed first in Egypt and then in Jordan we felt looked after. Everything went smoothly. Our guides were experts in their field and made the sight seeing meaningful.

Without doubt, the major factor in our enjoyment of the tour was the quality of our guide Erdem. He was incredibly professional and so adept at imparting boundless information while simultaneously being so engaging and entertaining. He continually went above and beyond in solving any issues that arose and constantly showed amazing patience with our group. The coaches and drivers we had for the tour were excellent and the food and accommodation were generally very good. Overall the tour was exceptional value and we will certainly recommend Ciconia Travel to anyone visiting Türkiye!

Ciconia Travel : The guides are amazing, we had Mac and Osama - not only do they bring the history of Egypt and Jordan to life they manage group activities, ie transfers and any difficulties that arise like the professionals they are.

Highlights of Egypt &Jordan tour Sept 2026

My husband and I recently completed the 'Classic Greece' tour with Ciconia Travel. We enjoyed the tour immensely and thought that it was very well-curated, covering so many incredible sights and experiences. Our experience was truly enhanced by our Tour Guide, Kostas, with his incredible knowledge of Greece, providing us with detailed information on the history and culture of this beautiful country, not to mention the stories Kostas told us. He entertained us with his wit and comedic talent. Kostas would go out of his way to assist us if we needed anything. He also checked up on us after the tour ended, ensuring we were all okay.

Our tour group was a great size. The tour guides in both Egypt and Jordan were excellent and became part of the group as well as being a fountain of knowledge. The sites visited on the tour were amazing although we felt that we fitted a lot into our time in Egypt which may have benefited from an extra day. The hotels in general were excellent however the Nile cruise ship could not be rated as five star as advertised. We also thought that a four day cruise implied that we cruised for four days and stopped seeing sights along the way - in fact we only really moved on two of the days with staying on board for four nights as indicated in the schedule when you read it properly. This aside we thought the overall tour was fantastic and Ciconia did a great job, especially dealing with our delayed trip due to the situation in the Middle East.

Tour Guide is experienced, also takes care of every detail during the trip, also timing is superb.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on our Best of the Greek Islands tour! Our tour guide, Kostas, was outstanding and truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. His local knowledge, friendly personality and genuine care for the group made the experience even more special. Nothing was ever too much trouble!

The hotels were excellent, particularly our accommodation in Mykonos, and the included dinner experiences were fantastic.Loved the Blue Myth restaurant! We enjoyed beautiful locations, delicious food and so many memorable experiences along the way.

The entire tour was well organised, with a great balance of sightseeing and free time to explore. Kostas was an absolute asset to the company and really made our holiday unforgettable.

We would definitely recommend this tour and would happily travel with Coconut again!

I have just completed Essential Turkiye. Had a fantastic time. Erdem our guide was knowledgeable, patient and went out of his way to ensure we had truly local experiences. Our driver, Ayhan was terrific. He drove us safely and the bus was immaculately clean. Highly recommend.

Our guide, Erdem, made a great trip FANTASTIC. He was kind, generous, professional, knowledgeable and adaptable. He ensured we were well informed but more importantly he introduced us to real people - at the local laundry, the turkish bath, the gozleme streetside restaurant and the list goes on. We have travelled with groups before, both large and small, and this trip was right up there with the best.
Turkiye is an amazing destination with so much history and culture and 14 days doesn't scratch the surface but we are thrilled to have had such an enjoyable experience - the history, the culture, the food and in particular the people.

I had a wonderful trip with friends on our Greece tour seeing the brilliant antiquities of Greece. The tour was well run and our tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable and we had excellent guides at the sites too. The hotels were great and we had a lot of fun.

The guide & hotels were excellent. My main compliant would be we were expecting a small group experience- say 14max but we ended up having over 20. This meant we had less time to look at things & less time for the interesting explanations from our guide- the whole trip was frustratingly slowed.

Visiting Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini was truly a dream come true. The hotel selections were excellent, the itinerary was perfectly balanced, and every destination offered something special.

What made the trip even more enjoyable was our fantastic group and, especially, our wonderful guide Lydia. She was knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and included. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail really made the experience memorable.

The itinerary was above expectation.
Erdem our guide was exceptional, he was respectful of our needs, safety and our health. His knowledge was extensive and he communicated everything well. We enjoyed his humour and kind and generous nature.
Our Driver was helpful and drove very safely. The tour vehicle was clean and comfortable.
The airport transfers were convenient and timely even though we experienced long flight delays.
Hotel accommodation was comfortable and good quality.
