Our guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the history and interesting facts of Turkey. He organised our trip seamlessly which created a very happy group of travellers.

This was the first organised tour my wife and I have done. We decided to travel with Ciconia after it was recommended by a friend, and we chose the Essential Turkey Tour. We had a fabulous time and honestly can’t express how amazing the trip was — it was more than we ever imagined.
There were only six of us in the group, and we were all around the same age, which made it easy to connect, get to know each other and have lots of fun along the way.
Turkey is a marvellous destination, with so many fascinating places, historic sites and ruins to explore. What made the experience even more special was our guide, Yildiray. He was fantastic — very knowledgeable, engaging, humorous and entertaining, while also being a genuinely nice guy. He made us all feel comfortable and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable.
One of the highlights for me was Gallipoli. What a moving experience. It was hard not to feel emotional standing there and seeing the names of so many young men who lost their lives. It was a very memorable and worthwhile visit.
We would highly recommend Ciconia and the Essential Turkey Tour. It was an incredible experience and one we will remember for a long time.

Yildray is a very experienced,considerate and knowledgeable guide. He has the ability to understand and connect with all nationalities and people of varying demographics.

We did the Egypt and Jordan tour with Ciconia. Our guide Mac, was excellent. Any issues that poped up. Mac had a workaround and we never missed a thing. The hotels were all tops. Our Nile riverboat had excellent food but the wifi was poor. This did not have any effect on the sights and experiences we had. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour

Kostas was absolutely fantastic and got us through the tour. His knowledge and experience was excellent. The tour was well spaced and gave us enough time at each location. The day tours were fantastic as was the dinner and shows we experienced in Athens and Mykonos. The show in Mykonos got us up dancing which we hadn’t done for your years, it was truly amazing.

We were a small group so plenty of space on board the coach, and a chance to make lots of friends.
Great hotels (bar one) with good and plentiful food. Meals were a set menu so maybe more choices on a buffet? (Chicken breast on a bed of sprouts was one meal not to be recreated!)
Would definitely book with Ciconia Travel again, especially as if you didn’t want to take your own case, it was delivered to, and collected from your room.

Erdem our tour leader was fantastic and made our tour a very memorable experience.
Some of the hotels selected were definitely not 5 star and some food offerings at the hotels were well below standard we expected from the detail in the company blurb. We wrote to Cicconia regarding this but never recieved a response which was a little dissapointing

The tour itinerary was great - a fantastic mix of pace for guided experiences and self paced activities. Our guide Erdam was amazing, he was mindful of what we enjoyed as a group and as individuals- so he ensured our travels made the most of the opportunities. Highly recommended Erdam and Ciconia for the logistics for this small group tour.

My husband and I just returned from the Splendours of Turkey Tour with Ciconia Travel. It was our first ever organised tour and we couldn’t have been more impressed. The standard of accommodation was first class. The itinerary was incredibly well organised and well rounded. We had a smallish group on a 42 seater bus so we were extremely comfortable. We met so many lovely people to share our experiences with. Erdem, our guide, was a fountain of knowledge and his sense of fun mixed with his huge amount of knowledge made this an amazing experience. Our driver Tahir always kept us safe and on time. There were so many memorable moments but hot air ballooning over Cappadocia which was organised by Ciconia really stands out. I couldn’t recommend this tour more.

We had the most wonderful tour of the ancient Greek sites with Tina. The week was packed with interest and exploration and Tina is knowledgeable, efficient and a great communicator. Nothing was too much trouble. We were a very small group and Tina went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we also had a lot of fun! The guides at each site were all experienced and experts on the history of the sites as well as ancient greek history in general. Accommodation was well chosen and comfortable and the food everywhere was good and very plentiful. The bus was spacious, comfortable, air conditioned and very well driven by the same driver for the whole week. I would thoroughly recommend this Ciconia tour and I'm already looking at other destinations.

I and my wife could not speak more highly of Erdem and our lovely driver , both true gentlemen and each went over and above to assist my wife with her mobility issue, thanks to them our trip was made more enjoyable by their efforts.
