Colins Sash Windows Reviews 

Ordered three aluminium heritage doors from Colin Sash windows and they have been incredible. They have their own engineer that's available to chat and talk you through anything. My father installed one and completely crucified it, Colin Sash windows helped me order new coupling joints and advised me on the best course of action.

The delivery and correspondence extremely poor ordered a bay window to find that the cills were too short, spoke to Elana and Velena with no joy and no agreement to supply longer cills eventually ordered and paid extra for the cills of the correct size 3 monthys ago and still waiting for delivery, they said the freight company had refused the delivery address! twice and they would now charge me extra! the delivery address i gave them was a freight forwarding company that is open 6 days a week.

I sent out a few quotes for made to measure Crittal patio doors and a fixed window. Colins Sash Windows were the quickest to reply (same day) which cannot be said for the other firms - some didnt even reply!

The quote was acceptable and their customer service was very responsive via email, which to me, communication is key. Received a an email outlining thorough measurements and timescales (4-5weeks) which was accurate.

Delivery communication and updates were informative and was delivered no hassle. There was an issue which was down to the manufacturers incorrect measurements, however, in my case - it was 30mm out which the builders were able to accommodate for it. A cill was also omitted from the delivery which again was down to the manufacturers. I informed Colins sash windows and Paul and Velina immediately got on the case (phone call to me) to ensure the cil was delivered along with the windows (separate delivery) to ensure no delays on the build programme. To their credit, they covered the cost of the builders quote for the extra work involved. To me, I honestly appreciate the extra mile these guys went to, to ensure customer satisfaction and no costly delays with the build program. I would definitely return to make future orders with Colins sash windows as I value customer service and quality - the Crittal doors and fixed window look great on our outbuilding!!! Sadly my experience so far does not reflect the 4.7 rating. I ordered an internal crittall door in the summer and it has been a painful process (still with no product delivered). As required, I paid in full up front and was told an approx 12 week lead time, with confirmation of designs/ sizes after 4 weeks. After 8 weeks and lots of chasing I received incorrect drawings / sizes that then required more amendments. It got to the 12 week point, with no proactive comms from the company. I chased a number of times only then to be told the order fell off a palette before delivery and needs redoing. I was told I would get an update at the end of the following week…now nearly 3 weeks after this, still nothing!! This is no way to run a business - if errors arise, take accountability, go out of your way to communicate and make it right. I am incredibly dissatisfied and will not use again.

Paul has done a great job despite me having to wait sometime. True to his word he sorted the spares for my very badly fitted bespoke windows ( fitted by the developer). Thanks Paul and your team.

We bought some heritage aluminium French doors. They are a good quality, look great and were good value.

Quite a long lead time but worth the wait.

A few issues that needed a call to customer support. These issues were resolved by Paul (customer support manager) very promptly and he was excellent.

Would definitely recommend.

Ordered Heritage aluminium crittal style windows from Colins Sash Windows (cheaper than other companies)
Small issue with beading and tight door handle, spoke to Paul who was really helpful.
He travelled 2 hours to come and rectify the problem not leaving until I was completely happy with windows and doors.
He advised if I had any problems in the future not to hesitate to phone him.
Really happy with the windows and aftercare.
Would definitely recommend this company.

Stunning product, outstanding service, couldn't be happier.

A few minor hiccups along the way but nothing is perfect, however Paul and his team moved heaven and earth to get everything fixed with the minimum fuss and bother.

End result is a stunning set of doors and windows that everyone comments on. Couldn't be happier

I could not recommend Colin’s sash windows more! Elena was great in answering all our questions and making sure we got the design we wanted which fit our requirements to Paul who went massively out of his way to accommodate us and fit us in his busy schedule! The process was entirely seamless and we couldn’t be happier with the result!

We've used a number of Window companies over the years, but were now in need of 50 of so sashes for a large residential build.

Although ordering can be done online, due to the size of the order and configurations (double and triple sashes), it was important to get the order right and Elena was more than happy to speak with me on a number of occasions. I found the whole process very easy and the lead times were very impressive. And Elena remainder my contact throughout

We split the order into 2 and the bulk of the windows arrived and were installed within 2 days.

We are dealing with Colin for several years now. Of course, we had some minor problems throughout the years, always solved immediately to the customers satisfaction. Colin, Didi and the rest of the crew are always helpful. Yes, the Brexit didn’t make it easy to get the windows and doors to Germany but we got that solved after a while. Windows and doors are perfect for our building style. Our customers are verry happy, so we are happy.

Windows arrived in good time. Fitted by Paul who had a difficult job considering the state of the brickwork and mess left by previous installer some 20/30 years ago. Quickly found solutions and now look beautiful Insitu. Thank you to Paul for all his help

Delivered one month late. Arrived on site poorly sprayed and damaged.

This company are using a third-party factory to fufil their orders and have no control over their supplier. They refused my rejection of the goods and only offered a repair or replacement service with the caveat that they often turn up in worse condition than in the first instance.

I explained I do not have the time to leave my property exposed to the elements for further weeks and would like a full refund.

Now having to attempt to recover my money through a credit card charge-back. If you are foolish enough to purchase from this company please, please use a credit card.

We ordered several windows from Colin and had a pretty big issue when they arrived on site as our builders hadn't accounted for a measurement when we ordered them which meant they couldn't be fitted. I was desperate to get some help and Colin very quickly connected me to his installer Paul who was extremely helpful and came to site immediately to see how it could be resolved. Paul came up with a solution pretty quickly and we are now excited to have our new windows installed. Everyone has commented on how well made they are and what fantastic quality they are. Very happy with the service and would happily recommend.

Had an issue with a sash window installed by another supplier. No luck in being fixed but then came along Colins' and in no time had the issues sorted, very polite, very efficient and very professional. If you want any window replacements or have issues then get Colins' in they are extremely good.

I will definitely be using Colins again, the service Colin's provide is second to none.

I ordered Heritage Aluminium doors. Excellent product but do require some skill/experience to fit so I would recommend choosing an installer who has experience in the heritage style if that's what your going for.

Long lead times on aluminium products but I was always kept well updated by Didi. These lead times are industry wide so no fault of Colins.

Paul provided great technical advice & is always on hand to answer questions & willing to come out if necessary.

In summary buy with confidence that you'll be looked after when purchasing from Colins Sash Windows.

Seriously impressed by Colin and his team (Didi and Paul in particular) They were immensely helpful in creating our doors, delivering them on time, and then also after-service care was superb- couldn't recommend them enough. Our doors look fantastic!

I haven't yet received or fitted my new windows (order just done!); but my experience so far with this company has been excellent. All my questions answered in detail - above and beyond for a supplier. Well done!
