At Colipse Coffee, every bag of our specialty coffee beans is fresh roasted to order after your order is placed, then packed and shipped within a few business days, so your coffee never sits on a shelf or in a warehouse. We understand that seeing a roast date on the bag matters to you, and we've shared your feedback with our team. We're sorry this order didn't meet your expectations.

If you buy this bag definitely play with your grind sitting and temperature. On my DF54 I like setting 55 and the temperature around 195F/90C roughly 19g coffee bean and 300ml extract.

Hi Michael,
Thanks so much for taking the time to review, and glad the blend landed well with you and your stepfather.
Delicious smell and taste.
The coffee was promptly sent, it did get held up at a post office, which delayed it for couple days. The coffee beans smell delicious and we’ve been really liking the quality and taste. Solid, good tasting coffee. The medium roast isn’t quite as bold and full bodied as dark roast but is very good.

Hi Martha,
Thank you for the kind words, and sorry about the post office holdup. That part is out of our hands once the parcel ships. Really glad the beans arrived smelling and tasting the way they should!

I am extraordinarily disappointed with the quality of this coffee. I read a number of reviews that exclaimed about the flavor and strength. Regret to say we found none of that in the batch we had. My personal opinion is I’d like my money back. We like robust, complex, dark roast coffees, and this did not meet the grade at all.

Hi Ann,
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback.
We're sorry the coffee didn't meet your taste. All Colipse coffees are sourced from specialty-grade beans, so quality and consistency are something we take seriously. Our French Roast is roasted to bring out the bean's natural character, and it can taste quite different from the heavy, one-dimensional profile of commercial dark roasts, which are often pushed past second crack for that aggressive "bold" bite.

I like the way the beans aren't roasted
I like the way the beans aren't roasted until its ordered. I truly love the taste of the coffee and isn't bitter. One of the few coffees I can drink black.

Notes....
This is a tasty coffee with chocolate notes. It is is nice medium dark roast. This is the second coffee I have enjoyed.

Thanks for the honest feedback Jennifer! Our Colipse Half Caff coffee blend does have bright citrus notes from the origin. Not for everyone, but we're glad to help you find a better match.
Pretty bland roast with muted notes
Delivery was fine and grind was fresh but this was a pretty tasteless roast.

Hi, thank you for the feedback! Our Half Caff is a medium roast with a naturally softer flavor profile, so it won't have the bold intensity of a dark roast. If you'd like something with more punch, feel free to reach out and we'll help you find a better fit.
Sweet and strong

Enjoyed the coffee and so similar to my coffee that I used to drink. Due to gerd I had to find another coffee. I really liked how it’s geared towards gerd and how it won’t cause stomach issues.
