Community Union Reviews 

Avoid at all costs! I joined this union after being inspired by the strike events of this summer. I wish I hadn't! As per other reviews I have seen online, I contacted them for some low key advice on something happening at work around a pre-existing medical condition I have. I received a blunt reply saying they don't deal with pre-existing medical issues (not made clear at the time of joining) and sent me a link to find another union. I then asked to contact their complaints department and was then blocked by them! I then contacted the CEO and surprisingly received a reply saying they hadn't blocked me.
Just absolutely useless and definitely NOT what a union should be! Do yourself a favour and join another good union!

Miss sold me a membership. Did nothing to help even though I was treated unfairly by an employer. Accepted they did nothing and still have not offered a refund. Accepted I should have been treated fairly but wasn't. Useless organisation that put themselves before their members. Also have no official complaints procedure and do not respond to emails and just ignore you.

This union is nothing but a scam thay do nothing to help I have not had a pay rise in 6 years and it just not me it's a lot off hard working lads and this pathetic union has done t nothing about it so don't join you will be wasting your money

I subssribe for the trade union just in case I'll have a problem, or act as an Insurance. You don't want to use it but just in case in the future. The services are terrible. I talked to a legal adviser (name is Oliver) and it sounded that my employer pays more to this trade union that I appeared I'm the antagonist in my case. All of the answers are just a normal answer as if they just want to answer and never helped me, nor I ever felt that I'm supported by the very union that suppose to help me in times of stress due to employer. No empathy or whatsoever at least try to understand and give me more options. Try to look for other union that is less expensive and has better credibility.

Wish I could put zero stars. After paying their subscription for years, received literally the worst service for an appeal process. Had to do all the work myself and ended up with some amateur trade rep. She refused to help me further pursue the appeal process after my employer declined my appeal. She said it’s because she had too many cases assigned to her by the union. Tried speaking to the union supervisor only to be blocked by him cause he didn’t want to listen to me. These union reps are just trained to say “no” to you so the union doesn’t have to pay for legal services that they should be providing for when union members need help. Or they just want to get on with their day and not be bothered with making the effort for those that actually need help. Never will I pay for a union subscription again! Thanks a lot community union!
