Do not trust information given

I changed my electricity bill. The one important aspect I told Compare Broadband was that I wanted quarterly billing......guess what I was put on to a monthly billing plan. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience, especially since you were very explicit about the quarterly billing requirement. The error occurred because our sales agent didn't know the customer must request quarterly billing after account setup. We currently can't do this during the order process but are following this up with Alinta to improve the customer experience moving forward. Unfortunately you will need to call Alinta and request quarterly billing. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Tim was incredible

Tim was incredible, so knowledgeable, understanding, friendly and professional that I smiled all the way and thoroughly enjoyed what is usually an overwhelming experience. I intended it to be a research call yet Compare Broadbands immediate and comprehensive access to information combined with Tim's exemplary customer service was so great, I signed up for new Broadband AND Electricity providers at huge savings all on the one phone call. Thank you!

Natalie was extremely helpful and made the transfer so easy. Natalie had access to my comparisons online and was able to talk me through the whole process, now saving $324 for a year. The transition to the new provider was done in 5 minutes owing to the fact that the current provider cancelled my internet today and not in 2 days. Thank you so much Natalie. Was a pleasure talking to you.

The process was fine

The process was fine - efficient, but the company Superloop, I was told were the best company for my needs- were awful. Their customer service was appalling. They set up 2 accounts and sent out 2 modems, which I had to send back on my dime(they did end up reimbursing me). The customer service team, all men, were condescending, patronising and gaslit me for issues that were not my fault and didn’t end up resolving anything. I ended up closing my account after less than a month and going with Aussie Broadband, who have been fantastic. Even at the end, I had to call them to get my account number as it is not available on any invoice or through the app. Again, making simple requests complicated. I’ve never experienced the passive aggressive behaviour of an alleged’customer service’ team. Just awful.
The connection however, was very good. I’d rather intermittent connection with better customer service.

Customer service was excellent

Customer service was excellent. Ability to find the best provider for my needs and to suit the infrastructure available was great. Also, the rate I secured through the service was really good.

Don't Use Compare Broadband

I used to use Compare Broadband but after my last experience never again. I'm a disabled person and relied on them to help me to get the cheapest deal possible so that I could keep my bills low. Last time they bungled my utilities changeover and I ended up having to pay significantly more than usual and left me in a terrible financial position. I was moved from several utility companies because apparently my "file was caught somewhere in their system". Sounds totally bogus and completely lacking any responsibility.

I tried to contact someone at Compare Broadband to be only be passed around from one person to the next. The person I originally had couldn't be bothered responding to my email. They said they would call back and didn't! Anytime, I tried to speak to someone on the phone they would talk over and belittle what I was saying - trust me I was being very patient and polite!

I thought this was a good company but I was wrong - they don't care at all about fixing any mistakes, taking responsibility or doing anything for you. They're just a middle man who take a cut from signing you up to the companies in their stable. You're just a dollar sign to them. As someone who struggles with a disability I was blown away by how complicated and unhelpful they made the process and at the end of the day I was left in a financially terrible position.

I'll have to find someone else to help me from now on. Poor form Compare Broadband.

Diana was sooo helpful!

Diana was sooo helpful!! She understood what I need from broadband and really helped me get a deal that covered all my needs at a decent price. Fabulous!!!
