Well-constructive course in a 2-day weekend period. The instructor is amazing and he really knows what he is teaching. A topic is revised at least 3 times: teaching, asking quizzes and summarizing at the end of the day. After the course, I felt very much more confident than before, understanding the difficult chapters such as glomerulonephrides and coagulation cascades. Thank you so much Dr. Cockrell! I will definitely recommend to those who are sitting for MRCP 1 and 2 exams!

This is a brilliant course! Dr Cockrell is an inspiring educator who covers some key underlying principles of medicine in an informative, interesting and engaging way. The course was very well run and the food was fantastic too! I would highly recommend this to anyone considering sitting MRCP or interested in IMT.

Fantastic course. Dr. Cockrell explains difficult concepts incredibly well, and also gives us clever ways to remember everything. Would recommend this course to everyone and I wish he would consider making a revision day for part 2!

The amount of topics covered in just 2 days is incredible. I used this is a start to my MRCP revision and it was excellent. Im going to do more work + question banks and likely attend it a second time before my sitting. Dr Cockrell explains difficult things and makes them easy along with ways to remember them. Highly recommend it!! Felt 100% more intelligent at work the next day!

Also the Lunch & coffee provided was 5 star.

It was absolutely brilliant!

A brilliantly organised and comprehensively delivered course that covers the vast breadth of MRCP Part 1 in a concise yet personal manner. What I particularly liked about the course was the fact that it was delivered by one individual who, as an AMU consultant, provided an excellent generalist approach that ensured continuity throughout the 2 days compared with other courses which often offer far too much unnecessary information provided by various specialists and lack continuity. Every aspect of the day was also very well thought out from the location, to the length of each lecture, to the food (which was some of the best food I've had in a long time!).

I thought this course was fantastic. Dr Cockrell was an excellent teacher, his explanations were understandable and so useful. Usually I have a tendency to daydream but I was able to keep focussed because of his engaging teaching style. He clearly loves teaching and is passionate about medicine. I have come away with a revived passion for medicine and confidence to attempt the MRCP.

Fantastic course, with a good pace and well spaced learning consolidation. Very engaging and manageable bitesize topics. Goes above and beyond to make it enjoyable and understandable.

A great 2 day course. A large amount of material is covered and may topics that I have found difficult in the past started making sense. Really well taught. I would highly recommend it. Thank you.

Great weekend. Definitely intense but made so many areas which I was previously confused about clear! Very glad I attended. Will affect my clinical practice and hopefully my exam result

Excellent. Informative and engaging. Really helped clarify complicated and poorly taught subject areas in an entertaining way. Also excellent food provision!

I found it extremely useful having diagrams to learn concepts and draw parallels between topics and conditions. This means I am reminded of things I learnt in other sections and doubles the yield of revision.

It's so helpful to have things explained in such a comprehensive yet simple way which is impossible to find in text books.
I feel much more encouraged and focussed about my revision having done the course.

It would have been good to have been able to cover more of the book but obviously time is short. Is there any way the other topics could be videoed - you could have a youtube channel.

What a course!
Dr Cockrell is an incredible teacher. In 10 minutes he managed to make concepts which I had struggled with all the way through medical school seem like a piece of cake. I wouldn't be able to recommend this enough to anyone undergoing the MRCP part 1. It was an intense weekend but more than worth it, not only did he teach concepts, he makes sure you understand them and are able to apply them (I was skeptical when he mentioned this to start with but honestly it's true). There is no way to pick apart the whole MRCP part 1 but he has done an excellent job in distilling and refining the more difficult and most applicable concepts into the two days. I learnt more pure medicine in that weekend than I had in the last 2 years of foundation school. Thank you Dr Cockrell!
Ps. The food was also excellent!

Dr Phil is amazing!!!Despite only 2 days of lectures,but for the first time I started to understand how to link pathophysiology to clinical reasoning
Covering a loads of the most difficult medical topics and in a bery concise way!!!
I hope he will soon do a course for MRCP part2
Having travelled from Eastbourne down to Bournemouth to attend the course ,I would definitely repeat the same experiemce for any course he would do in the future!!!

I would 100% recommend this course. It is one of the best courses I have ever been too. It cleared all my concepts and gave Med confidence to do the questions more logically.

The best thing about the course was one lecturer and no other different people coming and giving lectures . One lecturer , repetition and hand written notes make this course unique.

There was no reading from the power point slides and concepts were cleared with funny examples to help you remember and understand the material quickly.

Dr Cockrell was really good at explaining concepts, good reading materials given and teaching materials used, very organised. Everything was well thought out. All in all, great course, would recommend to everyone preparing for MRCP or even to learn for clinical practice!

This was an excellent course, crammed full with useful knowledge. I felt that this was the first time that I had certain concepts explained to me in a way that I actually understood!

Dr Cockrell is clearly very passionate about medical education, and has an extensive pool of knowledge which he can draw from.

I would highly recommend this course to any of my colleagues
