My experience with Connectd was truly excellent. The onboarding process was incredibly efficient and Nathaniel was superb! I was connected to four extraordinary professionals. Connectd is excellent.

My initial discussions with the Connectd team were open and supportive, giving me a clear understanding of the process and the opportunities available. Expectations were well set, and the team was happy to answer follow-up questions and arrange calls to clarify anything further.

After joining, I gained access to the Fractional course content. The early sessions helped set the scene, while the later ones went deeper—moving beyond the day-to-day work and into the practical realities, risks, and requirements of running a business. It’s not just about what the role involves; it’s about understanding the bigger picture and what it really takes to succeed.

Currently in the process of onboarding pro-bono advisors and have already appointed a highly skilled NED for my startup, QuietProof.

Communication so far has been seamless, and there's a wide selection of expertise within the platform. I'm already spotting profiles I'd love to engage with as we scale, even if they're outside my current scope at this stage.

I'm already seeing how fractional expertise could play a role as we grow - shifting from a hiring-based-on-time mentality, to hiring-based-on outcomes. It's a powerful way to access senior-level support without compromising the early-stage runway.

James has been absolutely brilliant, hitting the nail on the head with not only matching us, but also being incredibly professional with no fluff and yet kind and empathetic. I'll be honest I thought this was going to be another 'service' with a thousand hoops, hidden costs and a gigantic resource suck, I'm very happy to be proven wrong. Can I leave 10 stars?

Approached, made an initial general call, scheduled a second call to understand what they do, but they didn't show up. They contacted me again a few weeks later with a 12.5% ​​discount (excluding VAT) with "guaranteed appointments" and "only 30 spots available." I don't have a good impression; their business model is geared towards unselected startups, which allows them to hire advisors at a reduced cost, but for which the advisor receives neither equity nor a salary. Not recommended... stay away!

Connectd provides a really solid ecosystem for founders, advisors, and investors. There’s a lot of well-structured theoretical material and useful collateral to help guide you through each stage, along with access to experienced mentors and genuinely good placements. A great platform for building meaningful business connections.

Had a call will with a representative today. I have experience as an advisor, but he tried to push this costly training on me to become an advisor... First few months pro bono to show commitment, but when I probed and asked that this could also be accomplished with a vesting cliff period, he had no answer. Overall not a serious proposition.

We advertised for a CTO. We were very impressed with the calibre of candidates. The volume of applicants was medium - a good thing, so that we were not overwhelmed - but the calibre was noticeable. There really wasn't a single person who was not credible.
We also liked the personal service from Harriet Oliver, who took an interest in what our startup was doing and was consistently helpful.

I’m so grateful to have been introduced to Nathaniel — he’s absolutely amazing at what he does. He connected me with some incredible C-suite leaders and really took the time to understand my business needs. His instincts are spot on, and he made the whole process of finding the right team feel effortless and enjoyable.

Great preparation. Efficient time management. James is an enthusiastic and adept facilitator. Covered all the key points at the right level of detail. Very clear on next steps, resources, etc.

For current/ aspiring board advisors or members this is a high ticket sales course play. The platform is designed to match start up companies with industry relevant advisors. The model of monetizing the main problem the company is looking to solve does not make sense. Unless the value prop is more geared towards the aspiring board advisors and not the companies. In which case I don’t see why the companies would have skin in the game to select a Connectd advisor. The industry experts of McKinsey are not paying for a chance to provide their knowledge to their clients. The model does not make sense. I’d suggest organically networking and gaining board advising experience that way instead of $3,700 in a course.
