I'd been with my previous provider for 49 years so it was a big thing to change to Connect Fibre...it was a great and easy transfer, excellent communication. Transfer took place keeping our existing phone number...it was seamless. Delightful helpful engineer and you ring up customer service and you actually speak to a human! None of this pressing umpteen numbers and getting frustrated. Plus we got £100 back as did my son! We all need more Fibre lol..Go for Connect Fibre!

They arrived earlier than planned, were efficient and polite throughout, and took the time to explain everything clearly. They also kept the work area tidy and cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. The Connect Fibre team arrived promptly and in less than half the time allocated, all the work was done. My Broad Band connection was very fast from the outset getting 275Mbit/s download from the server in Grimsby, using a longish Cat 5E cable connection from my Laptop PC to the Connect Fibre Hub. My TV and smart phones all simply hum along using a combination of wi-fi and TP Link 'Powerline' connections via adjacent 240 volt ac mains supply wall sockets. It is all VERY impressive and excellent value for money as projected future costs are well controlled. Thank You Connect Fibre- you are brilliant. Additionally, migration of my home 'landline' phone and associated number was handled very efficiently and within a few days was all up and running via the digital interface to give me an excellent VoIP digital connection with no more crackly line problems.

I recently showed interest in changing to Connect Fibre as they were new in my area. I am not very 'tech savy' so was delighted when I got to speak with Paul who explained everything in lay man terms for me and ensured me that I had nothing to worry about. I am really looking forward to becoming a loyal customer of Connect Fibre.

I have increased my review to three stars based on the help provided by Faye and the manager she escalated my concerns following my original one star review. Their intervention prompted a solution that is acceptable, my speeds being the same as they were after my request to make an adjustment. More relevant now is that my Wi Fi range is also now acceptable for my needs, although it still does not match my previous ISP’s coverage, nor that of some neighbours using other providers.
Having learnt a little from this exercise maybe the speeds I would have got had I been able to sign into those available networks may not have been very high. So much for speed as the sales pitch by most ISP.

I feel I cannot raise my rating any further due to the initial experience with two customer service/support representatives. One of them, frankly, might as well have told me to “put up and shut up”, as that was effectively the stage we had reached — the end of the road.
This is compounded by the complete lack of acknowledgment that it was my request to change the bandwidth that ultimately resolved my speed issues.
I also note that one star reviews now stand at 4%, not the 1% I believed I was joining. While the vast majority of customers appear happy, a look through the less than 2% two star reviews shows many reports of the same speed and range issues I experienced.
Being told that my 150 Mbps WiFi was “fantastic” did not sit well when paying for a 1000 Mbps service — especially when my previous ISP’s 500 Mbps plan consistently delivered double that 150 Mbps wirelessly.
A review of CF’s T&Cs appears to state that if an installation survey recommends a hub placement, the customer may choose an alternative location within 10 metres. This clashes with my frustration at being told that low speeds at 8 metres from the hub were , understandable , completely in order, despite the T&Cs indicating CF has the discretion (which they chose not to use) to supply mesh units to rectify such issues.
Whether those two CF support representatives receive guidance about this or a pat on the back for not using their discretion at CF’s cost is something only CF will know.

The whole experience was seamless, from initial call to enquire about changing to Connect Fibre to the installation. I was kept informed every step of the way. The Installation Engineers were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, it was all up and running exactly to the times given. Speeds are amazing. So far we are extremely happy with the service from Connect Fibre! 5*

They kept in touch, I didn’t have to chase and sorted my issues out quite quickly.
