Jack, our move manager made everything sound great. But the actual removal team were shocking. I had to ask for large items to be wrapped. The team caused lots of internal damage to our new build house. Damaged multiple items. Lost screws for beds and wardrobes. Nailed a new sofa together instead of using the correct screws. Tried multiple times to speak to someone. Get no answer. Emailed multiple times. No answer. Please be very careful. They ruined what should have been a special time.
Still waiting for a response to telephone calls and emails. 12/12/23
Following on from my last comment. I still haven't heard anything or had any of my correspondence answered. I emailed the ombudsman. Cornerstone Removals ARENOT covered by any regulators. Therefore if they damage anything. You don't stand a chance getting any compensation. Noone will touch them because they have such a bad reputation. 12/02/24

The guys and girl on the team were punctual, extremely hard working, very polite and highly efficient. For a big move, and a 240 mile drive, to get everything done in one day was amazing. They had to take to pieces 5 complex wardrobes and reassemble them and they now work better than before. Really pleased with the whole process.

Alex, Gabriel & Roxana arrived, punctually this morning, excellent communication, and they were all so friendly, careful & helpful. I cannot praise them highly enough. I specifically asked for the ‘Crawley team’ as I know they are really good as they moved my home contents 2 months ago. Today, they moved all of my furniture and boxes out of storage to my home and took unwanted furniture to the charity shop for me. They were all lovely and so friendly and happy and they made my moving day pleasurable. My Move Manager Dominic unfortunately left the company before my move which caused chaos in the admin department, but thankfully the afternoon before my move, Denisa sorted everything out for me & everything went ahead.

I paid £1.8k and received cheap outsourced labour that didn’t care one bit about me, my family or our belongings.

They don’t deserve one star. My family were relocating and decided to invest £1.8k on a removal company to make the transition as smooth as possible. People told me it would be “the best money you’ll ever spend”- what it actually turned out to be was a horror show and truly traumatic- NEVER, EVER USE THIS COMPANY.

I initially shut the door on the packers as they looked so dodgy- I honestly thought they were drug addicts trying to get in my house. Our belongings were just practically chucked in boxes without a care - new sofa has a hole, wool rug has a hole, over 100 year old heirloom oil paintings just left out on the street and their ceramic frames broken despite me highlighting them as very important and fragile. White sofa just chucked in the back of a dirty van unprotected even when I saw it and specifically asked for it to be protected, it wasn’t. I couldn’t keep an eye on what the team was doing as I was working my butt off trying to do their job for them as they were so late in getting anything done.

Our belongings didn’t fit in the vans and we had to cram stuff into our car, we had to leave a lot of our belongings at the old house long after the new owners had got the keys.

Movers had no idea we were relocating 45 mins away and on arrival threatened to leave with our stuff as they deemed the access too hard. I had previously sent numerous photos of the property and warned them of the access yet no site visit was made and they assured me everything would be fine.

My husband and I had to break our backs lugging our stuff in as they were just sitting there complaining and laughing. When they did start helping, they came to us with problem after problem which we had to solve- boxes were all put in the wrong rooms. We had payed for an unpacking service but that didn’t happen. So much of our property was broken, damaged and scuffed and stained. We had to work incredibly hard in the dark and rain to get our belongings in the house as I honestly thought they’d just take all our stuff and drive off. There was no respect what so ever, we had bought them lunch and they chucked the wrappers in our front garden- and threw rubbish on top of our hedges.

I ended up losing it and screaming at them, I was on my knees sobbing my eyes out and yet they were asking me to fill out a 5 star review in their presence. I felt really intimidated but refused- they then text me to say they still hadn’t seen the five star review posted.

I sent in a complaint and heard back a week later asking me for proof of purchase of items damaged before they’d consider any reimbursement. Does anyone have receipts of every item they own or for heirlooms and gifts? They trashed my sons belongings, presents from his grandparents… After reading reviews on google I have no faith what so ever of receiving any reimbursement.

I’ve had 1.8k taken from me just to have one of the most traumatic days of my life. If it’s not made right I am very tempted to go to the press. This company and anyone who works for them should be ashamed of themselves.

The whole experience with Cornerstone was superb. Bhav was very very professional and the whole team was efficient in planning our move . The movers were completely fantastic and worked so hard with such great care . Nothing was too much trouble . I would recommend Cornerstone to any one

Excellent response to my enquiry and very efficient with their quotation

This company was much cheaper than the other 3 I contacted. I knew it was a risk.
The 3 removal man worked speedily and with only minor mishaps. They dismantled and rebuilt without problem. I had done all the packing.
The downsides - they arrived almost 2 hours later than quoted. I couldn’t get through to anyone to see what was going on - very worrying especially as I hadn’t any confirmation that they were actually on the way.
Before the move I was disappointed in the service, no personal contact and mostly just automated messaging. A contact number/email for emergencies should be available.
