Great experience, I made a mistake and selected the wrong week, after a short phone call they delivered the next day, both the gents that dropped off and picked up the crates were lovely and really helpful. I will definitely use the service again.

I was undertaking a very stressful house move with many obstacles along the way. When it came to the crate order from Crate Hire UK the efficiency and empathetic way of dealing with my needs and concerns was exemplary. In particular, my thanks go to Ben the site manager as he was brilliant in every liaison that I had with the company and he really helped me at a time of immense personal stress. Every interaction I had with the company, from dealing with Ben and the customer service reps, to the very friendly and efficient guys who delivered and collected my crates was outstanding. Superb service all around.

These guys are the best - delivery and collection easy, super polite, crates in brilliant clean condition and automated check-ups to see if you need to keep the crates for longer (which we did) made life easier as we struggled to up-pack everything in the original planned time.

I ordered crates from Crate Hire UK to store furnishings for our glamping tents over winter, and the experience was fantastic! Their team offered great advice on crate selection and packing tips. I highly recommend Crate Hire. We have been using them for a while now and Ben always looks after us.

Ordered boxes and a trolley for a move, and received an email saying "your order has been loaded for dispatch and will be delivered to you tomorrow". Which is today. Never arrived. Waited until close to 5 pm, as per the email. Have tried calling, no answers on the phones, left messages, no contact whatsoever to say there is any issue with the delivery or anything. Moving house is planned for this weekend, and they apparently only deliver Monday-Friday. It's Friday now. What a shambles of a service.

Really glad to have used Cratehire for my move. The crates avoided lots of waste and saved time as they don’t require assembly. The team was very helpful as I had to change dates a couple of times. The moving company was delighted I had crates instead of boxes and managed to bring everything to my new home in one go thanks to the perfect stackability of the crates. I highly recommend this company and its services.

Ordered a box on 30 Oct for a delivery which I've now had to push back three times due to the box not arriving. I had no emails or anything about any dispatch so chased on 11 Nov. On 13 Nov I was told my box had dispatched (no apology given for the delay) and was offered a re-send or refund. I asked them to re-send and heard nothing so chased again the next day when I was told it'd be 3 working days. I then received an email the following day (today) to say actually they have no stock (first time I've received an apology) and that they'd have to refund. They clearly never dispatched my original order so I've had the hassle of waiting almost three weeks and postponing my order collection three times for no reason and, worst of all, they still have the box available as in stock on their website. Will not be using this company again.

This has been my first experience of hiring crates and I would recommend Crate Hire UK to anyone. They make it so easy. Their website works well for ordering and their staff are there for you if, as I did, you need to extend the hire period owing to unforeseen circumstances. Online queries were answered very quickly. Drop-off and collection were timely, swift and efficient and the delivery crew friendly and cheerful. The crates supplied were in good condition and clean internally. However, they are not weatherproof so take account of this if storing them outdoors. Overall an excellent and thoroughly professional service which I highly recommend.

All the people I had contact with were well informed, capable and cheerful.

I ordered (months ago), collected (Friday) and returned (Tuesday) approximately 100 crates. The bulk were returned in one delivery early in the morning of the planned return date. Those that had been short when the initial return was made were returned a few days later at end of day. Both drop offs went with out a hitch. No waiting around.

Every part of my interaction was made easier by their staff, even those who English was not their first language.

The warehouse staff went out of their way to be helpful, they were expecting me when I arrived to collect and I lost no time loading on a day when I was very busy a huge bonus.

The switchboard staff were plesent and informed and either got me to the right person or passed messages onto the customer service team got back to me when he was off the phone. I was not surprised that a company the is so good were busy.

Ours was not a huge order but still time and care was taken at every stage.

I would not hesitate to recommend Crate-Hire UK to anyone.

We used Crate Hire UK to move homes. They delivered 50 crates and everything was perfect. Crates were delivered punctually and wheeled right into the house. The crates are sturdy, quite large and stack well. This stacking is quite important.
One thing we learned from this is that EVERYTHING should go into crates. Once its in a crate, things are easier to move, and easy to stack, which means better utilization in a transportation vehicle.

Pickup was punctual and without any problems.

5/5 would totally use again!

Went out of their way to ensure my apartment move ultimately went smoothly. One the best customer service experiences I've had after an initial hiccup.

Moving house and trying to be sustainable so went for crate hire instead of cardboard boxes

Ordered hire package 2 (20 crates and heavy duty sack barrow) to move house. Day before move they delivered 10 crates only, when questioned the delivery driver said that's all they had.

Called up the booking and got a call back a few hours later, they delivered 10 more crates and a piece of wood with wheels that was pretty much completely useless. My wife called to ask about the heavy duty sack barrow, told again we would get a call back which never happened at all so we struggled on without.

Whilst packing, found that one of the crates was completely covered in wood chips and white spirit or similar substance so was un-useable.

Called the company for pick up as we had finished early. Agreed to to keep original pick up date as they were busy but couldn't make a certain 2hr window, they said not to worry, would avoid that and call 30mins before they came anyway. No call happened, they just arrived, luckily I was still home.

When the pick up happened, they actually had a heavy duty sack barrow and moved all our crates from the useless bit of wood with wheels to their sack barrow immediately.

We won't be using this company again. Seems that they outsourced to pluscrates.com for our hire too from all of the invoices which probably explains the terrible communication.

Such a shame to struggle when you're trying to be more responsible and move with less waste.

Oh also be aware that the £45hire does not include £56 delivery /pick up charge.
