Where to start…? I did the infamous iron ore train ride! The days before went fast with interesting sites and wild camping and guesthouses as accommodation. Only nice places. It’s my second trip with crazypuffin and I’m not disappointed. The train ride is 18 hours and I was a bit nervous for that but the hours flew by and suddenly it was sunrise and morning and the ride was done…it’s an experience I’ll never forget! It’s surreal, is amazing it’s simply great…the group was great and the guide Mohammed was also great! I will definitely come back as a hard core puffin and do a third and fourth trip with the puffin family!

Crazy adventure, crazy fun, crazy beautiful and I'm crazy happy!

I travelled with Crazy Puffin for the first time this year. In a few weeks' time I'll be going on my 4th trip!
I travelled to Afghanistan in April. In May to Lebanon and Syria. In September it was Iraq's turn. And in November I will be travelling to Mauritania. The fact that I've already booked another trip for next April speaks in favour of Crazy Puffin! Then it's off to Kurdistan.

I have both traveled solo and in small groups. Crazy Puffin Adventures had a great team in Madagascar with Marc and Anna. Great opportunity to be on the river in dugout canoes during the dry season and to see the famous Avenue of the Baobabs and, of course, the local lemurs in the Krindy Forest and Tsingy NP! Great mix of activities for all levels.

I had gone a trip to Sri Lanka with Crazy Puffin and it was an amazing experience with a lot of offbeat places included in their itinerary. Would highly recommend joining one of their trips.

As a solo traveler, I planned my trip to Socotra for a long time. Since it is impossible to travel there without an agency, I was looking for the right one. The tour was amazing, our group wasn’t too big and everything was very well organised. The guide was very good, and I had an amazing time!

I really love that the company has different tour that fits a big audience, for me I picked them because I felt I got a good amount of different and interesting things to see for a good price. Very quick and helpful help from everyone in the company, and the local guide was amazing. The most important thing is that I'm seriously considering my next trip with them, so of course I will recommend this company for others.

I recently had an incredible trip to Mauritania with Crazypuffinadventures. The highlight of the trip was riding the iron ore train, which was an unforgettable and authentic experience. The beautiful landscapes we encountered while offroading in the desert were also breathtaking. Absolutely epic journey! Nice accommodation all along the way and the best guides you can think of that will do anything for you. The motorbikes are made for these Indian mountain roads and are like a dream, it has always been my dream to ride in a distant country and this was the high point in my life. Rafting was really fun and this journey down the river was magical. Camping on pristine beaches every night and get good food and company by the campfire... what a trip! And the crew that rode along us were so fun, interesting and professional but still felt like they were a part of our tour just having fun. Traveling in India was a wonderful experience and I can not wait to go back with Crazy Puffin!

First time aventure with Crazy Puffin after being highly recommended the company by a traveller friend who had been to Syria and Mauritania with them. I chose Madagascar as I had been itching to return to Africa and it is a country that seemed very exotic in the mind with everyone having heard about it, but very few knowing anything about it beyond lemurs, trees, and vanilla.

From start to finish the experience was everthing I had hoped and far more! The group was led by Björn, a highly capable and well-travelled guide, who saw to the whole trip running smoothly without any issues. Our local guide, Carl, was also fantastic and very enthusiastic— always going the extra step in showing/explaining the essence of local culture and customs, helping us to gain a much deeper insight.

Highlights included floating down the Tsiribihina river for three days in a dugout tree canoe just taking in the landscape, wildlife, and culture of the locals fishing, playing, and bathing in the river. We camped out each night on a side of the river, an experience in itself when all the locals suddenly come running from the surrounding villages to meet us, play music, and dance by the camp fire! I also loved being able to get off the canoe in the middle of nowhere to walk through remote villages that felt like they had never seen tourists before.

A visit to the UNESCO world heritage Big Tsingy national park went way above my expectations and was a great deal of fun climbing through caves and up the rocks to the top. Coming face-to-face with different species of lemurs at the Kirindy Reserve was a moment I'll never forget. Walking down Baobab avenue and seeing the majesty of these mighty trees was also awe inspiriing. Plenty of excellent photo opportunities throughout!

The trip did have long drives at times, but these were often split up by stops at towns to see local industry and crafts, such as silk weaving, toy making, gemstones, aluminium products etc. With the great company of the other travellers in the group and the landscape surrounding us, I found the journeys went by rather quickly.

Overall, I found my experience to be highly rewarding and would definitely recommend a trip with Crazy Puffin to anyone and I am looking forward to taking another one myself with them soon!

I had an experience of a life time with Crazy Puffin in Gilgit Baltistan in northern Pakistan. Great arrangements from start to finnish and they really came through to make the best out of my vacation.

I have been to Syria with Crazy Puffin in April 2022. I already knew a few more established companies that go there and initially wanted to take one of them. But the only tour in my desired time frame was the one of Crazy Puffin. I looked at the places they would go to which looked like everything worth seeing was part if the trip and 10 days was a good trip length to see Syria. The price was also cheap compared to other operators, so I booked the trip. The group was rather small, which is a good thing, the people as well as the local guide were amazing and we had a great time in the country. As I saw, the newer trips to Syria are apparently not that long any more and leave out great stuff like Saladin's castle, so I am really happy to have been on the longer trip. We have been to Damascus, Homs, Hama, Aleppo, Latakia, Tartus, Crac des Chevaliers, Marqab Castle, Saladin's castle, Palmyra, Bosra, Maalula and some other stops along the way such as the monastery Deir Mar-musa Al-Habashi. I would definitely go with Crazy Puffin again!
