I like how everything comes in re-usable packaging. I was a bit confused as to where to find the recipes, as I didn't know they would be online vs. sent with the ingredients. However, the meals were flavourful. The ones that I tried, did take longer to prep & cook than I would have liked, but overall - I enjoyed my experience.

The Crisper meals are easy to prepare and tasty (but not overly sweet, salty, or greasy like the vegetarian meals I received from a competitor). For the 15 meals I have received so far, produce has been quite generous, and very fresh (with the exception of wilted green onions, which perk up in a jar of water). Packaging meal ingredients in reusable containers makes Crisper an ethical choice that I can feel good about.

Good for, no waste

The dry uncooked fusilli type pasta were stuck to the bag it came in. So took a bit of time to unstick them…Would be good to use bags made out of natural materials like cotton, as I am trying to reduce my plastic use…But this company is great for taking the first step, as it’s already reducing major plastic packaging from the conventional food delivery/meal companies!

Crisper ensures I’m getting enough veggies in my diet, and that I enjoy them. The recipes are always delectable and I feel so good about making food without any waste—of food or of single-use plastic. I love sharing a meal with a friend when I make my Crisper meals because I know they’ll be wowed—and so will I! Crisper has brought so much health and joy to my life, and lightened the food prep part of my week. Thank you Crisper!!

The person delivering my food read my specific instructions for where to leave the delivery, and followed exactly what I asked - that small gesture was very appreciated! Plus, the food was delicious, and I love that there is no waste - it makes it feel so much better than other companies!

Finally the convenience of a meal kit with all the plastic waste! I love the variety of meal options each week delivered fresh and on time. I’m not vegan and this kit has introduced me to how to cook delicious plant based meals a few times a week. The value for money is fantastic. 10/10!

I LOVE the zero waste aspect of this service, but I think there's room for improvement in user experience. For example, recipes should be emailed to you on delivery day or billing day instead of having to go to the website and search for them. It would also be great if there was a smaller box option for people getting the 2 meal service. I live in a tiny apartment and have to store a large blue bin for a week or two until my next delivery.
I also find the portion size varies quite a bit meal to meal. Usually it's a good size but occasionally the meals are very small. On two occasions some ingredients were missing.

Crisper delivered to the wrong address again - this is despite numerous emails, changing addresses on the system several times. 2 weeks ago when it was delivered to the wrong address the box wasn’t closed properly and an animal ate the contents so all the food had to be thrown away. Crisper did refund after a follow up but yet again the same mistake happened this week. There has been no attempt to compensate for the disruption despite us being customers for 18 months.

Great options and I like how they're eco friendly. But sometimes they ship the wrong ingredients so I have to improvise.

Fantastic Service!

We love our crisper boxes. It's just as convenient as Hello Fresh, but better because there's literally no waste. I can't express how good it feels to have one less thing going in my garbage at the end of the week.

We've had it for 5 weeks now, and I can honestly say the recipes are very flavourful and easy. I like that the sauces and spices come pre-mixed. One thing I detested about HF was receiving 4-5 little sachets of spice, that I would use 1/4 of and then have to throw away, or go in my cupboard to die.

We're always surprised by the portion size. My partner and I get 2 portion recipes, and we almost always have seconds.

I love that it's plant based, and really easy to bulk out if you have guests.

Loving how Crisper is healthy and plant-based. Recipes are very clear and easy to follow. So much variety that in a few months we have not had two meals that are remotely the same. Always on time. Great email notifications about deliveries. Only a positive experience so far.

Amazing meal kit and absolutely zero waste. Can’t wait to order again!

The meals were excellent! Love all the reusable containers/packaging and it was truly zero waste in that respect. Only issue is the arugula we received for one of the recipes did not survive. It was too tightly packed into the silicone pouch and was soggy & wilty by the time we went to use it (about 4 days after delivery -- the food is meant to last a week) and had to be thrown out. Everything else was great, the recipes were straightforward and delicious.

I love the fact that it’s zero waste. I tried and stopped using several other meal kits because of all the waste. Also the few things we’ve tried so far have been delicious and nutritious.
