When i first joined Data Freelancer, i realized i'm probably the youngest person out there tbh haha. But obviously that's why its very exciting as well since most people that joins Data Freelancer are transitioning from a full-time job to Freelancing while i myself if from beeing a student to Freelancing and avoid that full-time job which i think is more pressure for me. After several months, it finally paid off and was really happy with the result. Obviously, it's still the begining and the next months will be even better obviously :).

The Course content here is top-level, everything i need to get started and i do think that people that join even from 0 experience in freelancing could achieve greatness here. Recommended to anyone with true passion.

I've been freelancing for 6+ years. I was on $50/hour for the last 3 years and struggling to level up. I even started a gig at $75/hour and got fired after a month... oops.

I knew I needed some structure and support. And that's exactly what you get with Data Freelancer.

After 2 months in the course, I'm now fully booked at $125/hour. I said I'd attribute anything over $100/hour earnings towards DF. So, I'm making an extra ~$4000 per month thanks to their support. For sure, one of the projects I'm doing, I would not have been able to do without DF's help (specifically the genai-launchpad which provides the much needed MLOps infra we can use for all projects).

I'll be honest, I haven't done the video course. It's more geared towards beginners. But there are several more experienced guys in the group too and I know if I have more advanced level questions, they are welcome and answered.

Dave is super helpful. The community isn't massive, so he really does have time to help you if you need/want it. I know if something goes terribly wrong on a project, I'll be able to get support. Having that safety net makes it much easier to reach for bigger projects, talk more confidently in sales calls and do cooler, more impactful work!

Next stop $200/hour!

I thoroughly enjoyed the community and being able to bounce ideas off of people in similar situations. Im the type of person who does best breaking a large effort down into small bite sized tasks. Thats exactly what this program does, so for anyone who has a lot of motivation, but doesn't know where to start, this is a great option . I just set up my LLC and am thrilled to get my first client.

I ignored several red flags before joining the Data Freelancer program and eventually left after a month. One major red flag was the lack of transparency about the program's cost on its website. Only during my interview was I informed that the course costs $8,000. I was "fortunate" to receive a discount but still ended up paying over $5,400 (including credit card fees).

The biggest red flag is that the program has a strict no-refund policy and outlines a conditional guarantee making refund almost impossible. A lawyer friend I consulted with about this said their deceptive pricing practices (e.g., not disclosing cost publicly, unreasonable refund policy) may even be unacceptable under EU and Dutch laws.

Another red flag -- they will send you a link to write a review for Trustpilot right after you join the group - before you develop any understanding about the program.

What you actually receive for the amount I paid is astonishingly poor. The primary offering is a six-module online course emphasizing vague mindset shifts and questionable sales tactics. Most people without my background might not even recognize this. Interaction is minimal, mostly limited to an optional two-hour weekly group Zoom call with the founder (which I couldn't attend due to scheduling conflicts), and occasional superficial feedback from inexperienced assigned "coaches." The course content itself is riddled with errors, low-quality materials, and problematic advice—for example, suggesting freelancers say "yes" to every client request and then learn the necessary skills afterward. Completely unacceptable!

I was initially excited about the community aspect of the program, but the members' backgrounds varied so widely that the community ended up offering little value to me.

Ironically, Mr. Ebbelaar shares genuine expertise for free on platforms like YouTube and Skool (Data Alchemy) yet charges exorbitant fees for content on topics where he clearly lacks expertise.

I am not saying that this doesn't benefit some people. But if you look around, you can get a lot more with that amount.

Everything has a proper structure, so it’s super easy to follow along. The action items ensure that we are on track, and the community is really supportive.
