Ordered a toilet pan and matching seat. I had only a vague idea that colour was Champagne. Very prompt to respond when buying and confirmed they could supply like for like replacement from my photographs. Not cheap by any means but decided to go for it.

On receipt toilet was not like for like but a reasonable match. However I did therefore need to employ a plumber to do the install rather than doing it myself,so there was another increased cost as a result.

I'd have settled for that but for the fact the toilet seat was found to be damaged when the plumber was installing it.

I contacted the company but they have flat refused any liability claiming they checked the seat before sending and that it was well packaged. I agree the packaging was good but can't say that damage in transit would have been impossible. As I didn't initially notice the damage I can assume that ever if it was checked by the company it could have been missed. They aren't responding to emails now and basically just ignoring my request for some solution.

I may pursue through Barclaycard as the payment method but feel I am left with no option now but to post this warning. If you are a distance buyer don't believe their spiel and expect no level of customer service if things go wrong.

Oh dear, I should have read the reviews on Trustpilot before handing over my £280 for a bath panel that is not in stock. They have my money and have been fobbing me off for over a month about a refund. I will have to open a dispute with Paypal to try and get my money back.

Grey and pink toilets and basins!! Look great in the renovated bar. The team were really helpful and just what we wanted. Will be back!!

Don't buy from Discontinued Bathrooms

I would have given zero stars if possible - avoid at all costs (I just wish I'd read some of these reviews before having my money stolen)

I needed a replacement Ideal Standard toilet seat. I was able to get an equivalent Bemis product from various suppliers (approx £25.00 + p&p) but Discontinued Bathrooms advertised the Ideal Standard seat (£86.00 + £12.00 p&p). I phoned Discontinued Bathrooms and they confirmed their product was Ideal Standard, so I placed the order

When the product arrived it was Bemis. I contacted Discontinued Bathrooms and told them the product sent wasn't the product ordered and advertised and I intended to return it and expect a full refund including p&p for both delivery and return. They said they wouldn't pay the p&p (now £24.00)

Various emails followed and I decided to swallow the p&p costs and just have the cost of the product refunded. I posted the seat back by recorded delivery and received a signed receipt

Discounted Bathrooms then refused to return any money at all. So they now have the toilet seat and my £86.00. Plus I am a further £24.00 out of pocket for the p&p

Take this review as you wish, but I class this as theft and/or fraud

I regret not checking the Trustpilot reviews before I dealt with this company, but like so many others I was taken in by its glitzy website and smooth, convincing patter from the sales staff. Now after checking the reviews I know I've been completely hoodwinked. My replacement ivory-coloured bath panel is but a distant dream and I now have to claim on my Barclaycard insurance to recover my £142 plus £25 shipping fee. How this company is still trading after so many similar complaints beggars belief. Surely Barnsley Trading Standards department is aware of the firm's appalling customer-service record and for them and the credit card companies to act against a perceived rogue trader.

Same experience as previous reviewer, Lynne Flett. Paid £142 for a bath panel. No delivery for weeks. Excuses. Unusable panel sent. Asked if I had sat on it!! Sent photos. No response. No invoice. Refused refund. After waiting for weeks for replacement claimed on credit card company. Company don’t call.
Judging by reviews not unusual.
Don’t give this company any money.

ordered bath panel did not come phoned several times and kept being told the same thing that they were wating to get one any day this went on for about 2 weeks so latterly I asked for a refund still wating for it e mailed them asking where my refund is and no reply this is now about 20 days ago not happy will be persuing through my credit card company. I paid a considerable amount of money for this!

Appalling service. Shocking company. Avoid. I bought a toilet seat for £195 which when it arrived was chipped and damaged and clearly a second - not high quality as promised and expected for £195! I paid £14.13 to post it back which they promised to reimburse. They have not. They eventually after reminders sent a second seat which was also damaged and a second i.e. not perfect and for £195. I paid again £14.13 to return it. They promised to call and send a third perfect one but have not. They promised to reimburse the postage which was 2 x £14.13 and the original £15 making it a huge £43.26 for nothing! They have not refunded the £195 or the postage. I am now involving the credit card company to get my money back. Worst service I have ever had. Avoid this company. I am a reasonable person but they treated me so badly.
