We did a 5-day safari through the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire, and it was an unforgettable experience.

After a lot of research, we chose Discover Wild Expeditions, and it was the best decision we could have made. Jackson was always quick to respond, extremely helpful, and made us feel confident from the start—even as a very demanding traveler with many questions. Jackson was always incredibly transparent and reassuring, which gave me complete confidence in our choice.

The prices are competitive, the service is outstanding, and the accommodations were amazing—comfortable, with great food and incredible surroundings (we even heard lions at night and saw wildlife around our lodges!), exactly what you need to relax after a long day on safari.

Our guide, Michael, was exceptional—knowledgeable, kind, and always in a great mood.

At the end of the safari, Jackson was waiting for us at Arusha airport to personally thank us for our trust and to give us our safari diploma. I was truly touched by this gesture—it shows how much he cares and how he treats his clients like family.

Choosing the best safari tour company can be tricky. There are so many with 5.0 ratings and hundreds of reviews — so how do you decide?

Focus on people and flexibility. That’s why you should talk to Jackson. His replies go far beyond your questions, he answers within minutes, and he even advised us to change our initial plan — which turned out to be the best decision. It was also the most affordable option after thorough research.

Our driver James was exceptional — probably the best guide you can have. He knows everything about animals, has an incredible eye for spotting them (often before we even saw them with binoculars), and balances adventure with calm professionalism.

We managed to see all of the Big Five and, in total, 32 different species. Every day felt like a new documentary scene — from lions resting under acacia trees to rhinos grazing at sunrise.

My advice: stay inside the national parks, in tents. You’ll save time and money — and your safari won’t end after sunset, it will start. Listening to lions roaring at night and seeing zebras walk between the tents is something you’ll never forget.
