B&Q Galway is an absolute joke of a place. They have products in the wrong area . Had to wait at least 3-4 mins for an assistant to tie his shoe before he would engage with me to tell him that that was not the product as advertised. Was told to wait another 15 mins so they could get it out from storage only to be told that it's high up on shelves on floor and can't be taken down while place is opened. Very obvious Manager has no control or clue what's going on there.

Looks good,easy assembly,reasonable price

It took quiet a while for the paint I had ordered to arrive . When it did and I opened the box the paint had been opened and it was spilt over the inside of the box.

The service and attention to detail is good. The range of good is wide and prices seem good to me.

Only one thing disappointed me. The staff were great but I was asking about broken tiles to use for mosaics. They apologised but told me for health and safety reasons they can not allow people to take broken tiles. In an era of trying to reduce waste maybe items that can be used, even though broken and a loss to the company, can help community arts classes and projects. Even a waiver if people wish to not broken tiles in a bin and landfill...

Very difficult to assemble and poor quality wood. Did not assemble as paint starting to chip and some parts broke.
Would not recommend Bought 2 so at a loss on this occasion

B&Q is a super asset to our locality. It really does have everything and I find the staff very helpful. I enjoy going there for a 'noodle' but I also enjoy going there when I need something specific for DIY projects in my home. Lots of variety at really competitive prices.

Bought a heated clothes airer on line. Prompt delivery. Well packaged. Quality item.

23rd February - 07.30 - call from the delivery driver wanting to know if there was someone in the house to help bring everything in as his helper was out sick, he was told 'NO'. He arrived anyway, at 09.30. My daughter was at her home on her own, she told the guy there wasn't anyone to help. He aggressively informed her unless he received help, the kitchen would be brought back and she'd be lucky to have it in another 2 weeks. Feeling coerced, she was forced to carry the heavy items in with a supposedly able bodied 'man'. Outrageous.
I, personally don't have a problem helping but threatening a woman that she wouldn't have her kitchen for another couple of weeks while having prebooked a fitter, plumber and electrician for the next couple of days.
Why do I have to give a 'star' rating at all.
Never, ever, ever, ever again.
Kitchen purchased in Liffey Valley, Dublin.

Couldn't fault the staff in the Waterford store, most helpful and professional . Explained every step of the way when designing kitchen and bedroom products.
would recomend this as your first stop for home design.

I ordered click and collect online but ordered from liffy valley instead of swords when I went to collect from swords the manager told me there was nothing they could do as the stores were not affiliated i wrang liffey valley and manager Audrey was so helpful and got my order changed to swords the swords manager was so ununhelpful manager liffey valley Audrey absolutely brilliant we'll done Audrey many thanks

3 weeks ago ordered a bath/shower door. Accidentally I ordered from
The UK Website. When the order hadn’t come as expected I rang customer service who said that it was the Uk site shipping to Ireland and they use an external courier. That courier then rang me with a delivery date or early March so I said no I’ll cancel. Rang customer service again, told them I wanted to cancel. Said I’d order from their irish website, no problem I was told. Ordered from that website on the 12th, said 4 days delivery. Never showed up. So I ordered click and collect to cork store- where it said it was in stock and collect next morning. That also got cancelled as not in stock. When I rang customer service about order placed in the 12th was told that actually ships from UK too. So completely false advertising. €300 odd euro out of my account which takes a few days to be refunded. Terrible advertising and lack of clarity with customers. We should be told this is being shipped from UK with a longer shipping period. Won’t be ordering anything again from here, Instore or online.

My order was cancelled with no reason provided and despite everything still being available, I haven’t been able to get clarity from anyone as to why it was cancelled or to reorder

Well laid out and tidy store

It takes a month and a half for delivery to arrive, so I definitely won’t buy anything from here anymore.

Eva in the Galway store is a credit to the company, so pleasant and knowledgeable to deal with and went the extra mile to help us. We will certainly return and do more business with B&Q based on our excellent experience dealing with Eva
