I am extremely disappointed with my…

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with DLG Auto Services to date.

My Tesla was returned to me on 6 June following accident repairs, but on closer inspection it became clear that the work had not been completed to an acceptable standard. The wheel arch liner under the driver’s side rear wheel arch remained distorted in the area where the impact occurred, and the paintwork around the repaired area and driver’s side rear door was rough, uneven, visibly poor in finish and already showing signs of cracking/deterioration.

This was particularly upsetting as the vehicle was in brand-new condition prior to the accident, and I expected it to be restored to its pre-accident condition. The issues should have been identified before the vehicle was returned to me, and I had already returned my hire car on the understanding that my own vehicle had been fully repaired.

A member of staff attended my address on 10 June to inspect the concerns and agreed that the work was not reflective of DLG’s usual standards. I was told parts would be ordered and that he would personally oversee the remedial works when the vehicle returned to the workshop. However, since then, I have had no proactive update. When I contacted the garage myself, I was told the parts had arrived but that the member of staff who had taken ownership of the matter was now on leave for one to two weeks, with no clear handover to another senior member of staff.

This has left me with very little confidence in how the matter is being handled. I have already experienced significant inconvenience, stress and disruption, and I am now having to chase for updates on repairs that should have been completed properly the first time.

I appreciate that mistakes can happen, but the lack of quality control before returning my vehicle, followed by poor communication and no clear escalation or handover, has made the situation far worse. At this stage, I would not feel able to recommend DLG Auto Services based on my experience.

Note: The photos provided show the condition of the car repair areas. As you can see, it is rough, cracked and peeling only days after being repainted. The wheel arch liner has been left bent out of shape and detached from the metal body work.

Update:
The garage took my car back to action repairs on the issues mentioned above. Sadly, my car came back with further damage that had nothing to do with the initial damage caused by the car accident. I now have water ingress in my rear break light and damage to my paint work in the inner door. They have offered to resolve this additional damage but I have lost all faith in this company to resolve. I was promised that management would oversee any further works to ensure they were completed to a high standard, but my recent interactions have proven this is virtually impossible. No satisfactory explanation has been offered as to how the additional damage occurred. I suggested they check the garage security cameras but they won’t. I have offered my own car camara footage but they would not view this either. I wish I had never trusted this company with my vehicle repairs. I’m still waiting to hear back from one of the managers (Chris) after speaking to him last week, he promised he would arrange to have my rear break light resolved but has not responded since receiving the requested evidence (video) of the issue. The new paintwork damage to my inner door area was slightly touched in by my neighbours paintwork specialist as they took pity on me while working on his car and offered help by patching it in with paint free of charge. It’s not perfect but the white chipped areas are now less noticeable. DLG had their polisher attend to review these chips earlier that morning (before I discovered the water ingress left in my rear break light), and refused to address the issue after making up some ridiculous claim that it was likely caused by a seat belt despite the damage not matching these allegations. There was also no damage matched on the inside of the door to support his suggestion. When I spoke to Chris, he said they would have resolved the dents despite what his staff member said which left me very confused. I’m still no further forward and have resigned myself to contacting my insurance to make them aware of the garage failings and my issues with them to date.

Very pleased

Was away on day of delivery but car was dropped off and I was able to review the work on my return. The whole process was smooth, efficient and standard of work fantastic. Very pleased and though I dont particularly want to have another accident I would definitely use them again.

Outstanding service.

I cannot speak highly enough of this company. We were updated every day so knew that progress was being made. The work began as soon as the vehicle arrived and was completed ahead of the estimated time. We had complete confidence that the work would be of a high standard and we weren't wrong. DLG Auto Services for vehicle repairs - Peterborough


After damage was done to the offside rear wing against a wall, Direct Line put me in touch with DLG Auto Services for the repair. My wife and I were contacted immediately and their well organised, compassionate, streamline and professional services kicked into gear. A courtesy car was organised and delivered to our home and our damaged car taken to their workshop for repair.

The staff were very helpful and kept us up to date with every stage of the repair via telephone calls, emails and through their online panel. Our vehicle was returned with a first class repair, with a perfect match on the Pearlescent White bodywork and the dents had vanished! The drivers, Duane and Sean, were dressed appropriately, polite, professional and explained everything in great detail with photographs and emails to follow up. The Site Manager, Shaun Hewett, touched base with us and was also extremely helpful.

My wife and I are so grateful for their excellent customer care, service and quality of repair to BSI Kitemark (BS10125) with a 5 year warranty for the repair. Thank you!

I had an accident with a full grown…

I had an accident with a full grown deer. DLG Autos took all the stress away from collecting the vehicle, keeping me up dated on a weekly basis both via text and speaking to me on current status. The ladies in the office were brilliant and remained professional at all times. DLG Autos were very open and honest regarding any delays and answered any of my queries. Well done team.

An excellent all round service

Well organised car repair operation

Very well organised operation; collected my damaged car and kept me informed throughout the repair process.
When I collected it not only was the repair completed beautifully, but the whole car was cleaner than I've ever seen it!
