This was an incredibly useful meeting, both in terms of actual educational content delivered by national expert leaders in their respective fields and the networking opportunities to meet colleagues from other hospitals and share ideas with each other.

The biannual Doctors Updates meetings are a fixed point in my CPD calendar. The variety and quality of lectures and educational workshops, the multidisciplinary learning environment balanced with the ability to reset myself, I believe makes me a better clinician to serve my patients.

I have attended the Doctors Updates meetings on many occasions and the ability to mix and meet with colleagues is of huge benefit in updating my current practice. The quality of lectures and breadth of lectures is amazing, and the ability to sit and chat with lecturers after the event fantastic. It is often cheaper than spending time travelling within the UK, having to pay inflated UK prices for accommodation and meals, and fulfils the GMC's requirement for attending compulsory CPD for Appraisal purposes. I cannot recommend this course more highly.

This meeting provided excellent quality CPD activity in relaxed surroundings. It was good to have some down time between lectures to catch up on my emails, as well to take some much needed exercise.

The programme covered all my CPD needs, and offered a balanced content suitable for everyone. All the speakers kept the audience engaged and reflective. The standard was impressive; these speakers can (and many have!) hold their own in an international arena. I think my appraiser will be happy that I met my appraisal requirements and PDP here.

Being able to spend time with colleagues in a social setting feels like it has really strengthened the team.

In terms of value for money, the registration fee was sensibly priced, and my personal accommodation and subsistence costs were fair.

I have been on this course multiple times , the educational content has been off very high standards , this has led to changes in my day to day practice and new ideas to the department. This course is a wholesome course not only academic but also for mental well being . Being an ICU consultant , especially after Covid I have searched for courses that promote wellbeing and I can highly recommend doctors update as a wholesome course which promotes both academic and mental wellness.

I have attended Doctors Updates for many years. It is an excellent conference with high quality lectures from leaders in their fields. I highly recommend it as an opportunity to learn and network with colleagues.

One of the best conferences I have attended in my 27 years in the NHS. The educational content was exceptional. More importantly, a lot of time to reflect on various topics of benefit to healthcare particularly with senior peers. Got some useful ideas for improving services for our patients. Compared to some meetings in London I felt this was real value for money. Was touched to hear stories of moral injury during covid. So important we support our doctors from burnout. This concept of educational content mixed with leisure, similar to meetings in US must be seen as the right model for learning. Thanks to organisers for their efforts. Best wishes

This is undoubtedly the best conference I have attended. Excellent speakers and interesting key notes from national leaders. The breakout sessions are varied and include physical and mental health topics.

Excellent series of educational and thought provoking lectures and workshops. Varied range of topics highly relevant to clinical practice and issues affecting the anaesthetic workforce. Top class presenters. One of the very best conferences I have attended in 24 years of practice.

An excellent conference, really informative lectures, some of the best I’ve heard in a long time. A fantastic way of ensuring I am update to date with my clinical practice as well as a chance to learn from colleagues. A wonderful chance to network and meet old and new friends after COVID. A very educational and informative conference. A good selection of lectures by leaders in the specialty of anaesthesia followed by the opportunity to network and discuss current concepts with fellow anaesthetists from across the UK and further a field. Having first attended this conference 23 years ago, it has gone from strength to strength.

Information. Very well organised and very high quality speakers. 2023 was perhaps one of the best ever programmes for Anaesthesia.

Usually a very good conference which, over the years, has helped me stay abreast of developments in anaesthesia. I particularly like the multidisciplinary aspect which enables us to have robust discussions about care out-with our usual speciality 'echo chambers'.
This year was especially good as the keynote speakers were a particularly good bunch. I wonder if they 'built up' over the pandemic enforced shut down.

An excellent, and possibly unique, educational experience. An opportunity to both learn and stay up-to-date within one’s own specialty but also to keep abreast of developments in medicine in general. Plus inspiring talks on health and wellbeing, combined with the opportunity to take some exercise and enjoy the fresh air.
