I like that the lessons are laid out day by day over a month's time and that you can return to them over and again. I think the explanations are good and I like that you perform a slow version and then a faster version. I also like the email links you have sent me with additional lessons. Thank you. I am an old man, so I still have some difficulty with the website (maneuvering around - I keep thinking I am going to delete something). I am at the end of the first month and I do not know how to post a video of my playing but that does not bother me. I was wondering if I could print out the music, but again, no big deal really. I wish now however that I would have bought a real drum-set instead of an electronic version. But the electronic version still works. I look forward to next months lessons.

So Ive been a member of DBO academy for just over a month now. Ill start by saying I couldnt be happier. Ive already learned and grown so much. Gabes lessons are straight forward and well done. Learning at your own pace is great too. And the whole community is very supportive and always willing to help you out with different ideas and perspectives. And since everyone is on the same level as you or has already gone through the same lesson they really know what they are talking about. Getting through each lesson and being able to mark it as complete is already rewarding enough, but theres a point system in place as well so you can see how youre doing along with everyone else. And you might even win a prize if you really buckle down and get through your lessons. I was hesitant at first so I just went with the month to month just to check it out. But now Im all in and cant wait to continue. If youre on the fence it is 110% worth it. So what are you waiting for? Join and get to bangin them drums! #keeppushingforward

By far my fav online drum lessons. Gabe has a great personality and easy to understand what he is trying to teach. I love the setup, the video quality and the community. People are quick to say hello and offer help or encouragement. I have tried other online drum schools and this is one that def fits every thing I’m looking for

Dbo offers a clear guide and helps you understand where you’re at and gives you a purpose to practice wish the designed lessons specific to your level.

Make sure you actually go through the lessons probably and don’t cheat yourself.

Theres also a good community in the dbo with friendly faces who are very encouraging. And dbo is getting better every week with new types of content being added.

DBO Academy is amazing!! The courses are full of information and very easy to follow. The community forums and peer support available are very helpful and really make me feel like there are other out there who genuinely care if I succeed. DBO is for drummers of EVERY level. I've been on my drumming journey for 18months now from never picking up a stick. I love the site, the lessons are constructive and well organised from the videos of the kit with gabe playing to the videos of the kick close up which is extremely helpful. Plus you have speed control also. If you ever have a problem there is the community to help answer or alternatively one of the the coordinators as in gabe or shaya, who respond always very quickly. The beat machine is great for listening to beats away from the kit b4 playing as well as the song learning section which is seriously phenomenal, and the library keeps growing. I could go on there is so much more from the persoal journal to keep track, to the shows, etc...but what I'd like to say is that for the investment in DBO in comparison to seeing a drum teacher in person, the time and money spent back and forward, doesn't compare. I can access DBO 24/7 and play new beats fills and tunes whenever I want, and that my friend is unreal when you live in the remote north west of Tasmania. If you haven't already, do yourself a favour and take the plunge and join DBO, if you're keen you won't regret it!!

The entire DBO Academy is great, these lessons have helped so much. I bought my first drum set and had them for 5 days before joining this program, now I am getting into my 6th week and I’ve learned so much. Without this I would just be listening to songs trying to play along and have no idea what to do for a practice routine. Can’t believe the things I’ve been able to do in only 5 weeks, and the community is awesome.

DBO Academy is just what I needed to get me drumming. The excellent, progressive lessons are short but pack a punch. I’ve enjoyed it for a month and feel like I’ve had a great start toward my drumming goals. An added bonus to the lessons is the community of other students. It’s fun to read and post small victories and share encouragement. This has been worth the cost already and I’m only 1/12th of the way done with my first year!

Such a well thought-out, comprehensive, easy-to-follow, engaging, and all around fun course! Gabe has done such a great job with his program, and I hope more people follow suit on other instruments!!

This course works! I started out never even hitting a drum pad in my life. The lesson plan really walks you thru the right steps to keep improving. I began the course and decided to stop after 4 months. I wanted to work on my speed and learn how to play some songs. I enrolled agin in this course bc I know it will take me to the next level. I can now play most of the beats 120-150 bpm’s. It doesn’t take me long to learn new beats. I’ve also added about a dozen songs I can play.
This course is far better than I ever expected. I’m excited to see where this course will take me!

DBO Academy has helped me to learn at a quick pace. The lesson structure allows for easy understanding and quick progression as long as you put in the time. I still have yet to get one on one lessons with an instructor, but I’m sure that’s gonna help me level up even more. I’m loving DBO Academy and plan to stay for the long haul.

After having tried Drumeo as well as other online drums academies U must say DBO Academy is the online teaching method which has helped me most to improve my drumming.
Video-lessons are short and direct enough to not be boring; and practice-videos allow you to practice the different beats and fills in different velocities (by changing the video speed) playing then along until its internalization.
The organisation of the page is quite intuitive too; and most important, there is a quick feedback from the teachers to your questions, comments, and the videos you upload playing. There is also a community that allows you to chat to other drummers around the world.
I only miss an App to access easily and to be separated from the different web pages you can have one in the searcher.

Drum Beats Online is an awesome course and I’m extremely lucky to have found it. The lessons are terrific in that they range from day-one basics to extremely advanced techniques for all levels of drummers. I’ve received alot of compliments from friends who can’t believe that I’ve been playing drums for such a short period of time.

DBO Academy is by far the best on line drum instruction. Very well explained lesson content with demonstrations in the lesson at different tempos and a target tempo to shoot for to be very familiar with the grooves or rudiment. Lessons are for beginner to advanced. Everyone will learn from the classes. Excellent staff with great feedback to help keep you motivated. I highly recommend DBO Academy.
