I've learned so much from DBO Academy and have come a long way ever since I joined. The support and love I'm receiving from my fellow students and my teachers have really motivated me to keep pushing forward.

First of all, the three stars are just for calling your attention ;)
The classes are great and really well explained, good job.
I have a big favor to ask. I really (really) need to know where I am when doing or studying something. I get lost very easily, especially in online activities like this one. For example, when I am starting at Coordination Conquest but I need to work on Basics Builder and when I go from one to another one I lose my way.
I would appreciate very much if you had a "general map" of the course. Something like:

1. Basic Builder
1.1 Lesson 1
1.1.1 Xxxxx
1.1.2 Yyyyy
1.2 Lesson 2
1.2.1 Xxxxx
1.2.2 Yyyyy
2. Coordination Conquest

I guess you get the idea. this helps me to go back to where I was, to know when a specific lesson will come, like Drum Notation, etc.

I LOVE this course!! I can't believe how thorough it is - great exercises, Gabe is a natural awesome teacher who is so likeable - the content in this course is killer and on top of the super effective skill-building exercises with the sheet music lesson Gabe includes tools like a metronome and a journal for us, and of course the forums. I haven't posted yet but will. I purchased a month only to try it but will be renewing! I'm someone who just played songs before and was hesitant to seek out lessons due to other life responsibilities and not thinking I could really do anything with my drumming and being, quite frankly, discouraged. But the structure here is incredible and just what I need to really advance and learn what I should have a long time ago!! I did take lessons years ago in person for six months from a (nice) jazz man who just wanted me to do drum core arrangements on the snare along with paradiddles - not much else... I was frustrated but figured well he's the expert I can't ask for anything else :(. I've learned more from Gabe's course in ONE DAY then I did from six months of those previous lessons! Super appreciative of this course!!

Amazing. He makes things so easy to understand and he has this great way of explaining things.

Lessons are concise and digestible. Practice path is priceless. Gabe is an absolutely fantastic teacher. Online platform has lots of features but is also easy to navigate. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Well I have a long way to go, but I really like the practice sessions to play along with,, coz it may sometimes get boring to play alone and also it encourages me to keep going.. This is a great online teaching plattform for your first steps in druming.
It is also an amazing place to meet people with the same goal, problems, ideas for a solution and more.
I absolutely love it. In times of the pandemie where you face an lockdown every now and then... an even better way to spent your time with the learning sessions from DBO.

This is drum course is absolutely amazing. I started learning to drum by myself at the age of 15, and with the help of this drum course, I was able to improve much more than I would have on my own or with traditional drum lessons. Thank you so much Gabe and keep it up man!

I've been drumming for 10 years, but the last 5 years guidance has been absent. With the wide variety of tutorials and videos on DBO and a hands on list of videos that prioritize certain aspects of drumming depending on your level, you can truly work on your skills and learn new ones! Youtube has a billion tutorials, but I didn't know where to start. Gabe is a good teacher and explains concepts plainly and simple. The moderators and community are also very supportive!

Every one is very friendly and supportive. If you are taking the lessons on the stage given to you, after completing the quiz at the start, the lessons are very straightforward and easy to follow.

First saw DBO on YouTube and really liked how Gabe explained and simplified things and the academy is just the same; you get broken down, step by step lessons, with simple and clear explanations to guide you, keep you focused and engaged. But he encourages you to experiment on your own and find your voice at the same time, the best of both worlds! I know a bit about a good educators because I’ve been playing bass guitar for about 20 years (wanted to play drums since I was a little boy and finally doing it!) and it can easily get boring, especially if the teacher is too rigid with his curriculum. Gabe obviously loves to teach, understands and knows what he’s talking about and that was really important for me since I’ve seen a few and had a decent understanding about music and rhythm theory. Highly recommended!

This program is the best for beginners and masters alike. I have learn so much and felt good doing so! Every teacher actually cares about your drum journey. And when you have a question don’t hesitate to ask one of the teachers, and they respond to you in minutes!

DBO has been great. Began playing again a few months ago after more than a decade away. The DBO Academy lessons are challenging, but worth it. Highly recommend!

After drumming on and off for many years, DBO has kept me motivated to keep pushing forward through their drumming path. The planned path and supportive community is a great combination. The live hangouts and backstage vlogs really make you feel included in the community.

My first year of playing drums was just watching various videos online, picking up tips here and there, learning to read sheet music on my own... I was able to read music and play a song, but I felt stuck creatively. My own personal goal was to be able to play songs without sheet music and give my own interpretation. But I felt limited in what I knew. I had already watched a couple of Gabe's videos and what appealed to me was that he said DBO Academy would have structure for me so that every time I sat down to take a lesson, I would know exactly where to go and what I had to work on next. My problem is I'm too impatient and I want to be way ahead of where I am now, but I know I just have to follow the lessons and keep on going. I already feel my hand- feet coordination is smoother and my husband saw a video of me and said that I'm starting to play more relaxed and confident.

Other things that are helpful:
- the drum score at the bottom of the video: it's easier for me to read the score
- DBO does live group lessons - I do wish one lesson every so often would be catered to beginner-intermediate students, but even if the lesson is aimed at a more advanced drummer, there is always at least one tip that I will pick up
- Emailing the DBO staff with questions: anyone who answers (for me, Shaya always answers my questions) always emails back with friendly, caring and professional responses

I like the lessons/videos so much that I did sign up for the Lifetime membership because I know I will always be learning something new.

Going to the point: Classes are videos easy to understand and follow; note that the diflevelficulty rises as you progress. In a month you will be able to break the ice in terms of how and what to do in order to play drums. There are exercises to create limb independence, also understanding of music pentagram. You can create a profile, send messages to other members or teachers, post your video practices and have live clases with zoom. There's a lot to learn and have fun too. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

This has been one of the best decision I have made to join DBO . I have learned so much in just a short period of time . I feel more confident and relaxed playing around people now . My form and chops have improved. The teaching is excellent easy to understand for all stages in drumming. It’s fun I look forward to practice everyday. Love you guys
