I bought an ADO Carbon last year from EBikesdirect and unfortunately it arrived damaged (from ADO), they were brilliant in helping to rectify the problem even sending a box to return it and paying the postage, I ended up receiving a full refund, customer service was always prompt in replying to my emails and I couldn't of asked for more, because of that I decided to get another bike from them this time opting for a E-Go CarbonLight 3S, I've had the bike for a couple of weeks now and it's great I'm extremely happy with it!
E Bikes direct excellent for cycle to work
Purchased a new Lapierre e-mtb through E bikes direct this month through my companies cycle to work scheme. E bikes direct were excellent in advising me on what bikes were available in my price range and further info into which ones had the latest gen 5 motor. They held the bike for me whist I sorted the cycle scheme voucher. Once I had the voucher they packed and shipped the bike to me within a few days.
Bike arrived to my home all safe and required only minimal building of the front wheel and handle bars. I had to read up a bit on how to set up the electrical bosch e-bike side of things and the battery was only charged to %20. The battery is required to be at %80 before its first ride according to Bosch.
I have now had several rides on the bike and it is excellent.
Cant say anything but praise for E bikesdirect, will use again for sure.

I purchased a basis osprey folding electric bike the bikes ok but the gearing is way too low , in high electric setting you can't keep up peddling so becomes very frustrating. Also the seat post keeps slipping down so I tried to tighten with the quick realise and it bent so badly that it's now useless. The bike does have a great range, 17ah. battery, and the bike is comfy to use.

Excellent company to deal with. The folding bike we bought several years ago continues to good service. Taking it to the Bodiam HQ a while ago resulted a quick and cheap repair that a local shop couldn't manage, and now there has been good and friendly advice over what proved to our mistake

usless & lie and a stressfull buy .. full of limp under the cap ... so miscomms are rife & acuse the customers of being somewhat of a pain by sending sacastic emails customer service is a joke .. .. full of half truths when they reply ... plenty of other bike sellers out there i would suggest shop around & read 1 star reviews .. they all cant be wrong .. depending how this pans out i am seriously contemplating sending my whole story to BBC .. watchdog ..

I chose E Bike Direct because they advertise same/next day delivery, and the website clearly stated 2–3 days. After 3 days with no updates, I contacted them and was told the bike first needs to be checked, which takes an additional 5–7 days before dispatch — meaning the real delivery time is around 10 days.
This is not what is advertised. I cancelled my order and bought the same bike on Amazon with next-day delivery (still sold by E Bike Direct). The same applies on eBay, where faster delivery options are also available.
Selling the same product faster through other platforms while delaying direct orders is unacceptable. Avoid buying directly from them.

Excellent experience from choosing bike to delivery. Spoke to Garf about cycle to work scheme. Having spoke to many other online shops and getting no where, he helped me sort it all out. I had an idea of what bike i wanted but he helped me pick the right bike for me and I ended up with a miles better one for less money. Kept the bike for me until the voucher arrived then delivered on a day to suit me. Made the whole process really easy and I have recommended them to friends already. I will be using them for any future purchases.

Please be aware before buying something from this website,because if you order wrong size or if you want to return a product back,the don’t give you refund back,still waiting for refund since 3 weeks when l return the product back and they said they didn’t received the product,but on royal mail website is saying they received!
Purchased a brand new E-bike in July…
Purchased a brand new E-bike in July 2025. Paid £700 for it.
I'm a fair weather cyclist and the bike has never seen the wet weather. It has always been kept in a shed.
Although the bike itself is immaculate, the pedal cranks have rusted and pitted.
I have brought this to the companies attention and have been told that they're painted steel and this would happen. On a bike that's only 8 months old.
Not a quality purchase and not an adequate answer
Edit: company has since been in touch and are sending me some replacement cranks. Review will be further updated depending on the result.

Helpful above and beyond expectation...
We bought a kids bike for my 3yr old grandson and when it arrived it looked superb... it was an Italian Dino 12" bike and the quality looked great on 1st inspection. Unfortunately we then realised that the rear sprocket was a 'fixed drive' with no freewheel option, which meant that if my grandson took his feet off the pedals they would continue to spin and bash him in the legs, so he immediately fell out with the bike and went back to his balance bike.
The fixed sprocket wasn't something that was highlighted on the advert when we bought the bike, so I contacted e-bikesdirect regarding the problem and even through we were just outside the 30-day returns window, they completely understood our concerns and were happy to help without question.
I would have been happy to try and retro-fit a freewheeling sprocket to the bike, but this wasn't going to be possible, so Archie at e-bikes suggested some options and with his help and advice and sending my grandsons measurements backwards and forwards we agreed that a 14" Dino bike would be the best alternative solution, and Archie at e-bikes arranged to collect the 12" bike and then replace it with the 14" model. We just paid a collection fee and although the replacement bike was more expensive they went 'halves' with us on the extra cost, which was a gesture above and beyond our expectations.
Throughout the process Archie and e-bikes were incredibly helpful and this whole process, which could have been so problematic, and a right old ball-ache was made an absolute pleasure by their help and razor-sharp communications.
Thanks so much... we really appreciate all your help and support. And thanks from Rex who will benefit enormously from this replacement bike.

Great bike, communications need to be better
Ordered my new bike from company and communications at 1st were not great. I eventually emailed company and Garf replied and said he would look into my order. My order was initially late getting delivered but Garf phoned me personally to say it would be ready by the Monday and would be shipped out,and it was. The bike I received from company was well packaged and in great condition when I received it as I expected. Only let down for me was the initial comms from company which could be better, otherwise I'm happy.

I am extremely disappointed with how my recent purchase has been handled.
My first bike from you was excellent and the service was great, which makes this experience even more frustrating. The second bike arrived faulty and had to be returned. As compensation, I was promised a gift and specifically requested a bike bag — this was never sent.
I have now also had to purchase a replacement rear wheel at a cost of £200. I was clearly told it would be dispatched on Monday via 24-hour express delivery. It is now Thursday and tracking shows it has still not been sent.
Paying £200 for a wheel is expensive enough without being misled about dispatch times. The repeated issues, lack of follow-through, and poor communication are unacceptable

Had a great experience buying from Ebikes direct, from first contact to delivery every went very smoothly, Great deal on the bike in stock ready for despatch.
my main concern was my new haibike been delivered without damage, reading some reviews but was updated on the delivery and arrived when it should, very will wrap and packaged up, wouldn't think twice in using Ebikes direct again, probably next year
