Another false review, and of course, no name provided. To start, Echovita is not a scam. Do we use different wording when further sharing obituary information? Yes, why? Because we operate legally, so we don't post the complete originaly obituary without either the family's or funeral home's permission. There is a button on each obituary page to allow family's to give thei authorization for us to post the original obituary, as well as, a button to edit the obituary, and a buttom to remove the obituary. Do we ask people to send flowers? No, but we offer the opportunity to send flowers easily, via our website. Do ask for donations? NO. We don't even accept donations. If the family suggested donations, then we share that information and provide the link for people to make a donation on the appropriate website. If the family requested no flowers, or mentioned that people may donate to a charity or cause in lieu of flowers, then the obituary states that and we activate a pop-up message that appears if someone were to click the flower button to remind them of the family's wishes. We also deactivate the flower button when requested to do so. For religions that don't accept flowers for funerals, there is no option to send flowers on the obituary page. Your review has been flagged for defamation.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was worried after reading some of these reviews, but our plant arrived on time. It was also absolutely beautiful, healthy, and much larger than I expected. The family was very happy with it.

The flowers were delivered to wrong address

The flowers were delivered to Birmingham to my home address not the Funeral home 2-1/2hrs away 704 Perryman Road which was clicked on the website??? Maybe a quick call would have cleared up any confusion?
For $175+... Also the wire stand that holds the flowers - appeared to be reused a number of times. It was bent and not painted and scratched up.

The reason the flowers were delivered to your home address is because that is the address you provided as the delivery address. We, nor our partner, Blooms Today, are responsible for this, nor would either of us, call you to confirm that the address you provided is correct. Flowers can be ordered from our wesbite to home addresses, since the customer either clicks the service they want the flowers delivered to or they provide a delivery address themselves. We understand this is unfortunate, however, this was your error.

Horrible

Horrible. The day before the funeral, I was told my order could not be filled and offered no other alternative. Our family did not have flowers or a message to our aunt and cousins. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

We're terribly sorry to hear about your experience. When something like this happens there are only two options, which is to receive a refund or to have the flowers delivered to another address, which could be the family's home address, if you have it.

It was convenient but failed

It was convenient but failed. I selected the option to send flowers while reading my cousin's obituary since it already had the info. Once I selected the item to send it said it had participating florest in the area. After I placed the order, my credit card company notified me of an international transaction which I wasn't aware of before placing the order. A few hours later I received an email that they we not able to complete the transaction and gave me the option to get a refund which only took a few days to post back to my account. Fortunately, I was able to search online for a florist there in time for the funeral and got a nicer plant set for less money.

It is stated both on our website directly beneath the "Place order" button and on your receipt that some U.S. residents may be charged an international transaction fee depending on their credit card's terms and agreement. Echovita is based in Canada, however, we are an obituary website that serves both The United States and Canada. Each flower order is assigned to a local florist via our partner, Blooms Today.

This company needs to be taken down

This company needs to be taken down. They made up their own obituary, completely inaccurately, which listed my child, as the child of our beloved, passed away friend. In so doing, this could have hurt the feelings of her true family. Scum like this, does not belong on the internet. The ACTUAL funeral home will remedy this for her family. But this is disgusting, hurtful, and pointless. As it truly helps no one. When someone you love passes away, the last thing you need, after the family has to pay for an obituary, is to see some hack of a company make up their own obituary using AI, and misinformation, to list family genealogies and relatives incorrectly. This website either needs to directly source and repost original content, or disband entirely. Nothing in the middle. Absolutely terrible.

I contacted Echovita for them to take down a negative comment that was left on my sister’s obituary. This comment is false and damaging for not only my sister, but my family as well. I have been trying to reach out to someone so they could help me take this false comment down, however no one has gotten back to me. Please respond so that I can remove this review.

The reason is because we actually received a removal request for the obituary from the funeral home directly, which was approved on June 26th at 9:20a.m. EST. However, you should have been responded to, so we will speak to the representative that was working that day. Thank you.

Well received

Flowers, arrangements arrived on time and they were most appreciated by those that received them. The order process was a bit clunky, had problems making three separate orders with three separate address and messages. Did not want to save the process, had to keep redoing the order.

Lost Order for a Dear Lost Friend

My flower and candle order never went through. The order was never processed. The deceased was a very important and special person with whom I conducted business for over 20 years and my remembrance flowers and candle was not present on such a significant time. What a terrible disappointment.
