I'm disappointed with the product I received. I recently purchased two gallons of the same colored paint; one was much more pasty than the other and did not spread well on my walls. Additionally, one gallon of paint was slightly darker, which is visibly noticeable on my walls. Based on your square footage calculator, I should have had more than enough paint to cover the walls. However, the two gallons fell far short and covered less than half of what the calculator estimated. I only applied one coat. This was the first time I used ECOS paint.

After a lengthy discussion with your customer support representative, the best offer I received was a 30% discount code. Not only that, but the representative was rude and kept cutting me off. Whenever I tried to resume speaking, she would raise her volume and talk over me. To top it off, she demanded video evidence of me mixing the pasty gallon, which is highly unreasonable. As it was my first time using ECOS paint, I didn't know if the thicker consistency was normal, so it didn't occur to me to film it. I used up the first gallon before moving to the second. The square footage advertised on your gallons is wildly off, amounting to false marketing. I came up way short from your paint calculator's estimate with only one coat.

I will never purchase your products again nor recommend them.

In terms of technical / customer service, they don't even deserve one star. I called with questions about their products, and all they did was refer me to their website. I had already been on their website, and had some questions. So, since I am not a painter, I wanted to talk to a person. Given how expensive their paint is, it is absolutely ridiculous that they can't be bothered to talk to customers.

Your company and your products are great.. more than great! My husband and I are chemically intolerant and didn't know how we were going to complete our DIY stairway project...and with 3 kitties, needed a fast dry, non toxic, perfect product we thought we could never find! We are more than happy and impressed with you selling us a small sample, to the fast delivery of your amazing wood prep and tinted varnish. Our staircase came out beautiful thanks to your company.

Customer service was wonderful in helping me choose the best product and with shipping and customs as I reside in Europe.
The primer arrived in a timely manner, no issues with customs, and the results on a wood bookshelf are amazing!
I have a condition called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and with this product I've had no reactions. Someone painted the bookshelf for me outside of my home. I could smell something for the first two days, however without being sick.
About a month has gone by and I am healthy and happy to admire my bookshelf in all safety!
I am purchasing another gallon today!

BUYER BEWARE! Use Clare or AFM Safecoat! I have used Ecos Paints for several years with no issues in two houses with various applications. I ordered a white paint and a sherwin Williams color match to succulent green. The color match was beautiful, but the paint was horrific. We had a cabinet maker who previously co-hosted an hgtv show build and paint two separate cabinets for us. The white cabinet turned out just fine. The green one was a disaster. Although it was semi-gloss it had a chalky texture and poor coverage. Then the fun began. Going back and forth over email with a customer service representative and the CEO about the application, conditions, dry time, etc. It all was the same as the white cabinet that turned out beautifully. They requested I send the paint back for testing. Shocker…it worked just fine for them, but after the poor customer service up to this point we weren’t surprised. A professional painter had to come in to fix the cabinets for us because they were scratching horribly with every touch. You could take a towel to the paint and wipe it up. He said it wasn’t an application issue but too much pigment in the paint making it dry. It was like a chalkboard paint, not a semi-gloss at all. So after spending a couple thousand with Ecos over the years, never complaining or having an issue, they refuse to refund my $300 worth of paint. I didn’t ask for a refund on the primer, I didn’t ask for help with labor costs since I got a faulty product, I didn’t ask for anything crazy. I will never use their product again because the customer service is horrific. Customer service is great when you’re on the initial side of buying, but fails you on the other side. You can see a similar pattern from their lower reviews. I’d use Clare of AFM Safecoat instead. Don’t expect a dime of your money back if their product doesn’t perform. They will deny and blame others.
Edit: filed a claim w/BBB and they continue to deny. They claimed they offered to send me replacement paint, but I declined. They NEVER offered this and I have proof through emails. Curious what lie is next. Please don’t buy their products! Look at google reviews!

I love your products. Unfortunately the black onyx looked purple on my wood steps so I wasn't able to use it, nor the varnish I purchased either. So I'm stuck with it. Bought ECOS paint to paint everything white instead.

Paints were good, however, the sample jar of Ballet Cream was only half-full and thinner than the rest.
The other paints included Sun's Rage, Sari, and Zircon Ice. These were thick and creamy. The paints had very little smell.

Been ordering since 2018. Wish paint could be thicker. Vanish is smelly but compared to more toxic varnishes it's not bad. Stains have no smell at all. I appreciate zero vocs.
