I was shocked at how expensive it is to hire a graduation gown. It feels incredibly unfair that students are charged such high prices for something that’s mandatory for their ceremony—and that price doesn’t even include the cap. It seems like the company is taking advantage of the situation simply because they can. Disappointing. But at least the staff was nice.

£49 for a gown without cap on rent.
Cap was another £40 approx.

The college (imperial college london) itself should ban these people and not have them sell it to the students. But i bet they pay some one in the org.

Some other students rented it for £35 cap included. I think i should have done the same.
Fell for this overpriced shit.

£75 for three digital images, asked for a refund and told no. Joke, spoke to the customer service advisors who couldn’t hit water if they fell out of a boat. Overall shocking experience 👍

Unfortunately, my experience with Ede & Ravenscroft's graduation photography services was quite disappointing.
Digital images are priced at £45 each, with no reasonable package to buy more than three images—making it both inflexible and expensive for graduates who simply want access to a few photos from a once-in-a-lifetime event. The hardcopy packages are even more frustrating: many include multiple redundant prints of the same image, which feels unnecessary and wasteful. Why would anyone need five or ten copies of the same pose?
Even more disappointing was the stage photograph. Rather than making an active effort to capture a flattering, well-timed image of such a special moment, the service offers just a single photo—often poorly timed, with subjects caught mid-blink or in unflattering positions. In my case, the official photo was unusable, while a family member with a phone camera captured a far better shot.
For a moment as important as graduation, students and families deserve better than this outdated, overpriced, and careless approach. I hope Ede & Ravenscroft seriously reconsiders their photography model and pricing to match the standards expected by today’s graduates.

took some graduation pictures with them and honestly not worth it, didnt even show how the pictures looked like at the end saying you can only check it online, but they didnt even bother to tell me my hair was not fixed properly, also when taking the family picture they did not position us properly, proper waste of money, just go to a studio

I would have liked to keep the gown a little longer as my graduation was 4pm and I had to return it with the 2 hours.

I rented my gown easily online and then I collected it at the venue on the day. They helped me to put it on correctly and all information shared was clear.

Booking and getting the gown was quite straightforward. The hat, I am not sure was measured to the size. Had to keep adjusting it.

It was a great service by Ede and Ravenscroft. Only a few things if I had to nitpick would be provide more clear directions to collect the gown. Overall, very satisfied with the service.

The venue was just fantastic with so much character it was hard to concentrate on the day itself because there was so much to look at, the Gowns were definately very high quality and they made sure they were fitted correctly before sending you away, cant recommend them enough and hopefully look forward to using them again if i gain another status
