We visited Evolve Clothing today, 15/03/2026, to buy our son’s Confirmation outfit. As any parent knows, it’s not always the easiest task, but the young woman who helped us was absolutely fantastic — friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful.
Unfortunately, the experience took a sharp turn on our way out. As we walked through the door, the alarm went off. We knew we had done nothing wrong, so we continued walking, but two men ran after us, shouting that they needed to “check the bag just in case a security tag was left on.”
My partner handed over the bag, and the young man waved it back and forth through the barriers. He then asked my partner to walk through the sensors to see if she would beep — she didn’t. The older man (who we later learned is the owner’s brother-in-law) said, “It must be him then.”
I walked through the barriers to prove my innocence. I looked at him and said, “You thought I took something.” He offered no apology, no explanation, nothing.
I left the store feeling labelled as a thief, spoken to as if he had the right to say whatever he wanted without any regard for how it landed. The lack of professionalism, manners, and basic respect was shocking.
It’s a real shame, because the young woman who served us was excellent — but the behaviour we experienced at the door overshadowed everything.

We are sorry that the moment at the door left you feeling the way it did — that was never our intention.

Our alarm triggers regularly from tags picked up in neighbouring stores, and when it went off, one team member calmly followed out to make sure you hadn't left with a security tag accidentally left on by us at the till — that was the only concern. At no point was your wife asked to walk through the sensors — she kindly offered herself, mentioning that she sometimes beeps. That was never something we would ask of any customer, as neither of you were ever a concern to us.

Jack's comment was made lightly — an attempt to ease an awkward moment — but we understand it didn't land that way, and we're sorry for that.

We pour everything into this store every single day, and our reputation is built entirely on how we make people feel. It genuinely saddens us that one moment overshadowed what was a lovely visit.

I ordered 5 vests more than a week ago. After a few days I was notified by email that yodel had my parcel but it just doesn’t get delivered. I’ve tried contacting yodel but can’t get through their switchboard. For some reason it just sits at the depot and is not going to be delivered. I’m not confident I’ll ever get my parcel. I will never buy anything off evolv again-what a scam!

They charge you £7.95 to return your item! Its says it'll be £4 until you read the small print and got charged the extra. So in total it cost me £11.95 for the item to be delivered and returned. Terrible service

Absolutely appalling

Absolutely appalling. Payed £70 for a pair of trainers for a Christmas present and had absolutely no email updates nothing! Package got delivered with no notifications whatsoever and when it was opened (being sealed wrapped in bubble wrap for protection) looked like the warehouse staff played football with the box!!! The box fell apart the trainers fell to the floor and the one insole to the one of trainers was loose in the box!! Could not find anywhere to send a complaint to and did the instant message never to receive a reply! I will never order from here again and advise future customers not to waste your money!

Brilliant Experience

I ordered a pair of boots from Evolve Clothing and couldn’t be more impressed. The price was better than some of the big high street retailers, and the delivery was incredibly fast — my order arrived the very next day!

Ordered a carhartt wip hoodie on sale. First time ever ordering from here.
Took a month for me to get it thanks to usps being dumb.
The company only apologized, never offered me any kind of discount or refund for the trouble. I also didn't know they don't have free returns from the US.

I will never order from this company again.

Returns policy sham

Returns policy is a joke. Bought an item, paid 64 euro and returned it as it did not fit. They were only meant to charge 4 euro return fee but only refunded 54, for an item that did not fit. I have used plenty of online clothing stores but this one will not be used again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Just to clarify, your original order total was €64, which included a non-refundable delivery charge of €4.95. When you returned the item, a €4 return fee was deducted to cover the cost of the return label. That left a refund of €55.05, which has been processed back to your original payment method.

We completely understand that return costs can be frustrating, and we do try to be upfront about them in our returns policy. That said, we appreciate your feedback and will continue working to make the process clearer for our customers.
