They are honest people. One of a kind. My engine was totalled they were honest and said not worth saving. I find that very refreshing today. Honesty is a very rare commodity in this day and age. I would use them again, In a heart beat. They are very friendly and approachable.

ExpertReconditioners has good advertising but is a total scam.
Peter Firth was the compulsive liar and bodge artist who had my van for over 3 months. I was told 9 days and £1895.
The bill ended up being almost double that, He lied about every single thing and I even had to threaten to call the police and report the van stolen unless I got to see it that day ( after 3 months).

Peter Firth is the pathological liar who did the work ( evidence of all correspondence kept).

There was also a bloke called Andy who did the booking who you can never get intouch with again.

The van went in needing the engine reconditioned because the turbo failed. It ran but sounded rough.
No dash light faults whatsoever (pictures of van including dash lights taken before it went in). It came back sounding like a tank, no ABS and he has either damaged the wiring or tried to change the software on it as it won't communicate with it, no cruise control working, power steering pump leaking oil. Air pipe on turbo broken, bonnet catch broken where he has dragged the engine across it.

There was also several loose bolts in the sump and lower engine bolts. (Video evidence).
It's using lots of oil

He didn't do half of the stuff stated on the web site for the reconditioning.

ExpertReconditioners is not a legitimate company, has no company listing and is not trading. On the website is Pick-a-part hull . The name of the actual company.

Beware. Do not trust these guys

yes same thing has happened to me i was told 1895 for the job and would be ready in 15days that was back on 15th march my bill has since increased to 3300+ and they have had my car for 60 days now and still no nearer getting it back. also after paying the extra for the parts I'm being told some parts haven't arrived which when i go on euro parts to order same items they will be with me in 3 days this has taken 2 weeks to get the same parts and some still not their the garage seems fine its this company misleading people and telling them they are the cheapest until they get your car i will be contacting the ombudsman to see what the options this company is a joke should have a picture of man in strip top and mask on the website not happy at all

Stay clear of this company! The other reviews are exactly what’s happened to me! The quote was £1695 I said I’m concerned it will go up they assured me ‘they are not there to trick me the parts are really really cheap for my car’ ‘it won’t be a fortune if it is more’ etc etc so I went with them they sent my car to hill ages away which is now costing an extra £200 to collect, the hill garage seem like nice people to be fair I’m just waiting on getting my car back now, my end bill ended up being over £3000! I’m contacting the ombudsman who advised me to put in a complaint but guess what now I have paid this company are ignoring me! On WhatsApp and email! Like o haven’t been through enough stress with this car already ran for 28 weeks from sale & not seen it for 2 years, I’m well out of pocket and these Ignorant people think it’s ok to ignore u! anyone with the same problem I advise you to take the time to complain to the ombudsman the more of us that do the better chance we have of stopping these guys!!

This company is an agent that sends vehicles to stand alone garages pretending that they are connected to expert Reconditioners! They are not they are basically con men.They add extra cost on parts that are extra to the price in the first place ignore you when they have had your vehicle for weeks and don’t update you at all. Then to top it off once they tell you the car is ready eventually they charge storage fees after 48 hours if you don’t collect. Just take your car directly to the garage do not use these jokers. Approved Auto centre at hull were great just go straight to them and save your self the hassle dealing with these con men ! DO NOT USE EXPERT RECONDITIONERS

This company's review page is unclaimed for a reason. This business has been operating for 5 Years according to its website but having extensively searched the company house for the individuals and names on the site it is not registered as a sole trader, limited company or partnership. No record exists for this company and it is operating illegally within the UK. I had been sent 3 quotes from this company directly to my email inbox when I typed in my car registration on the site engine trust. This is a comparison site where actual physically existing garages contact you and give you a quote for any car repairs needed.

First I had been contacted by Jake Smith. I ignored the quote thinking the price was too high and the physical garage they were claiming to be was 120miles away. A few days later I was contacted through my inbox again by an individual only known as Ali. He gave me a cheaper quote and rang my mobile number to explain how the service worked saying he worked for a garage in Hull. Come to find out later the garage claims he has no ties to the actual garage and acts as a middleman charging the garage a hefty fee of £800 extra on my repair which he pockets most likely tax-free since this company ''expert reconditioners'' does not exsits.

But this is not the worst part. I waited 5 weeks to have my car fixed by the garage and the original quote had risen almost double from £1895 to £3405 I had been informed of countless parts that needed to be fitted as extras in the car along these five weeks. After 5 weeks I went to collect my car they assured me it had been test-driven for hours but the odometer had not moved by that much (five miles). I was feeling very uneasy upon arrival since Ali was nowhere to be found but he made 101 promises over the phone my car would be perfect, But the changed parts I was promised to be shown were nowhere in sight. There were a few car parts in the boot of my vehicle but nothing to the extent of what they had charged me for. After being pressured to pay to drive away (I had used a taxi to get there 120miles) I felt I had no other option. I was getting talked to very roughly by the garage staff. They then assured me that if there is any issue with the car we will be able to fix it under warranty. They have me a formal-looking receipt and I went on my way.

On the way back home the car developed a serious issue. Low oil pressure. This is the original reason the car had to be fixed. The car had not been fixed I had driven 100 miles back very lightly and the car was not driveable. I immediately sent a video of the issue as the car was smoking on a roundabout and I was stuck there. I let the car roll to a stop on a side street downhill. The situation was very scary having no power and cars behind me anything could have happened. I received zero contact from Ali after he had been paid. He took the money and disappeared.

I rang the garage and they then tried initially to blame me, I reminded them the car had been driven 100miles and they had promised a warranty. They took the car back the same day. It's been 4 weeks since then and I still have no car. When I ring they give every excuse in the book but nothing solid. I am done dealing with them and will contact the motor ombudsman.

As for this company's expert reconditioners, it's a call centre made for solely profiting off people's misery. Learn from my lesson, Never deal with a shady middleman who just wants to profit off your misery.
