We recently moved from a small two bed flat which was on the 3rd floor to a large 4 bedroom house and used Expressed Removals to transport all of our belongings. From start to finish they were amazing, the staff who took the quote was friendly and knowledgeable, Gemma who helped us book was very helpful too and Dave and Mark who worked tirelessly walking up and down with our belongings. They were very careful and placed all the boxes in the correct room, disassembled and reassembled furniture and even took furniture to a different place when we changed our minds. Would highly recommend if you want to use a friendly and professional company with good pricing (p.s express removals were over £300 cheaper than all other quotes gathered!)

A good experience from start to finish. Quote was provided from video, pictures and description. Packaging was done on the Saturday before the move on Monday 13th April 2026. Even my bonsai plants were packaged up. All four people involved were polite and nothing was too much for them. There was a leak on the washing machine connection however Ben sent someone along to correct it. And He took the packaging boxes back with him. The price was reasonable and for Express Removals to do the packaging took much of the stress out of removal day. Would definitely use Express Removals again.

I used to think all removal companies were pretty similar but these guys are by far the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

They failed to send me the revised invoice which meant I couldn’t pay and discovered the night before that my move hadn’t been booked. They still fit me in but now I’m wishing they hadn’t.

Don’t be fooled by the free packing boxes. I paid over £120 for my boxes. The company assures me that they will refund this payment once boxes have collected. However having since researched the price of boxes online, the 30 medium boxes and some small, I was lent could have been purchased outright for about £95. Therefore I believe describing this as a deposit is misleading. They have since stated that because I wrote a negative review they won’t refund the boxes unless I make a 2 hour round trip to their offices in Rye.

Despite giving plenty of notice of a change to the items being moved this was not communicated to the moving team who became annoyed and angry when I informed them of the error. As a woman on my own this was very distressing and upsetting.

The team worked incredibly slowly, to the point were I had to move a lot myself as we needed to be out the house. To clarify it took the crew 2 hours and 40 minutes to pack up a 2 bed house (with me helping towards the end). From what I saw on the day I believe this could have been done a lot quicker. The company say this is within the time they allowed for the move. This was the same at the new house despite them threatening to charge delay fees as it was past the cut off time. To clarify the driver text me regarding the application of late fees this was not communicated by the office.

The team took multiple cigarette breaks which not only slowed the process down but meant the smell was being transferred to my items. I raised this with the company and they said they support smokers taking cigarette breaks as smoking helps them with the stressful and physically demanding job.

I haven’t unpacked everything yet but several items have been damaged or broken.

When I called to discuss my experience with them the guy I spoke to was incredibly unsympathetic and stated ‘smoking helps some people with physical activity’.

Avoid at all costs! They may be slightly cheaper but it’s not worth the drama.

As mentioned I called the office before writing this review to give them a chance to make this right before publishing. In my opinion the guy I spoke to was uninterested in hearing about my experience or any lessons that could be learnt. I was so surprised and disappointed with his response that I didn’t mention about the damaged items as I felt it was clear he didn’t want to hear it. They have since informed me there is a procedure to claim for damages. I’m unlikely to do so as I don’t want to be in contact with them anymore.

Since writing this review they have repeatedly asked me to remove it as they feel it is unfair. They have also informed me that they intend to contact trust pilot to have it removed. I’m sure they have many happy customers who are very pleased with the service provided but I’m not one of them and I feel my review has as much right to be seen as the many positive reviews I’m sure they have.

Thank you so much to Express Removals for an stress-free, affordable, reliable and careful experience! We moved last week with the help (strength!) of Jack, Dave and Tommy, and they got the job done in great time, with no flaws. They were really friendly and let us get on cleaning around them as they packed up so we could get out quickly and leave our house presentable for the new owners.
We have some awkward pieces of furniture and they made it work even when we didn't think one particular wardrobe would make it up the stairs! Can't fault the experience, from booking and quotes to moving day and we're so happy in our new home already. Thank you so much, all!

We had a great experience with Express Removals during our recent house move. The team of four worked seamlessly together, arriving with two vans and getting everything loaded and transported quickly and efficiently.

They were not only hardworking but also genuinely friendly, which helped put us at ease throughout the day. Every item was handled with care, and it was clear they took pride in doing the job properly. Even with a few last-minute requests, nothing was ever an issue-they were more than happy to help.

Overall, the whole process felt well-organised and stress-free thanks to their professionalism and attitude. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Express Removals again or recommend them to others.

We booked Express Removals just four days in advance, and the team were brilliant. Gemma made it easy to book. Mark, Jack, and David worked efficiently, handled everything carefully, and made the move feel easy. The packing staff member (sorry, we’ve forgotten your name!) did a great job getting everything ready.

I had a great experience with Express Removals. Booking was quick and easy, and the quote was very affordable compared to others.
On the day, the team were fantastic — punctual, efficient, and very careful with everything. The staff on the phone were also polite and so helpful throughout, especially as we repeatedly had delays with our completion date.

I've been meaning to do this review for a long time and feel the fact I still want to says something is telling of how good Express are.
We found the Express team good humoured, hard working and extremely helpful. They moved our belongs from SE London (SE5) over 2 days into storage and at all time were careful with our possessions and a stressed out us!

The office team are equally calm and helpful.

Very happy to recommend them.

PS Express previously moved us from SE26 to SE5 some 12 years earlier.

The team from Express Removals packed up my 4 bed house and moved me from Southwick to Hastings over 2 days. They worked extremely hard and with good humour on a filthy wet day. Given the number of man hours and heavy lifting the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them.
